Hello and welcome to YWS, newcomers! If you've stumbled across this thread, you should definitely make a post to introduce yourself! Or you can make an individual thread, it doesn't matter to us. :) YWS is a writers' site, and if you just so happen to be a writer, then this is the place for you! We currently have over twenty eight thousand members (28306 to be exact), so as you can see, we have a very popular site that grows and grows everyday! My name is Iggy and I'm a moderator of the site! Any person in this color , this color , and this color is a moderator of the site, so please don't hesitate to PM them if you need help. Users in this color and this color are people who used to serve on the mod squad but have retired. You can find the official list here . Now, let's get some guidelines and rules out of the way: :arrow: We like proper English. That is, we don't substitute "da" for "the," we don't say "im" for "I'm," we don't say "u" for "you," and we expect you to capitalize each word of every sentence in your regular posts. Typos can happen, but don't start talking like you're texting. We're crazy like that. :arrow: To earn points, you must review. And to submit works, you must have points. It's the circle of YWS! Make sure you mark your review as a review, or else you won't get points! :arrow: We want you to rate your story or poem. That way, it can show up on the front page and everybody can see it. ^_^ If you have an f-word in your story or it's particularly explicit, rate it 18+. It won't show up on the front page, but people will know what they're getting into. Titles should have no curse words or all caps in it, so please refrain from DOING THIS and use asterisk (*) to censor your curse words appropriately. You can find the official rules here . Wassup, I just finally posted this story that I had laying around in my google docs since last summer. if anyone wants to read it it is called Adventures of an AL. I am planning on putting a huge amount of effort to make this story good in the future. I have big plans.

I enjoy writing poems and personal essays (which you'll see a lot of on here), which mainly focus on the Black experience, gender & sexuality exploration, college life, anxiety, depression, self-love, and inner child healing.

I also really enjoy singing, listening to music, eating my way around my college campus, drawing, doing graphic design on Canva, and spending time with friends & family. Being extroverted and immersed in the arts inform my writing!

Hello everyone! My name is Anusha (you can call me Andy

) I'm a 16 year old Indian. According to my parents, I'm apparently not Indian enough. I crave momos 24/7. I'm confident on paper/online than in real life. I love singing and listening to music. I'm a huge Swiftie. Writing comes naturally to me but I'm unsure as to how to grow my skills. I request everyone if they can help me become better by giving me feedback/reviews. Oh and I'd love to be friends with this community. You guys seem amazing! (Will probably update this if I get a character development lol)

@Saifullah If you're talking about publishing on YWS, you can do that by clicking on the "Publishing Center" option at the top. Click on the red "Add a new work" button, then paste in your title and work, set options, and publish it! Note: publishing works takes 200 points, and you can get more points by doing reviews. Hope that helps! :]

This website is really great, an easy place to publish our works and get reviews. The system of publishing needs you to review really creates a great loop of people reviewing your works, and it makes you review others which is always fun. YWS has been great!
