I woke up, blinking like crazy. All I saw was a bland hospital. All I heard were beeps from machines. My heartbeat matching the sound. I felt something on my hand, going to grab it, I felt skin. It was a hand. At first, my heart raced from fright. Then, I realized it had to be someone I knew.

Turning my head, I saw Emmett. His face, his beautiful face was shaped with sorrow. I stared into his amazing brown eyes, seeing the sadness filling them. I looked over his whole face, taking in the perfection. His lips were shaped like a thin heart. His nose was perfectly straight but had a soft tip. Every crease amazed me.

He touched my face, running his hand down my cheek. Every time he touched me, it felt like my skin actually had feeling. The nerves tingled as he touched me, making my beat race and the machine beep along.

"I'm so so sorry," Emmett said, his voice causing my breathing to stop.

"It wasn't your fault." I whispered back, astounded by my own voice.

Pulling his hand away, he ran it through his amazingly brown hair. Frustration draped his face as he looked out the window instead of at me. That somehow made me feel really really lost.

"I should've been there." he said. "I should have protected you."

"I was drunk Emm, I got myself with a guy. Gosh... it feels like I cheated on you."

He turned back to me with a facial expression that made me want to scream. It was dissapointment. Disbelief.

"You got... Jane. It wasn't your fault. He took advantage of you because you were drunk. You didn't cheat on me." The anger dripped in his words.

"But I let it happen."

A pause came through us, leaving me with shivers.

"He took advantage. Jane. It's Drake we're talking about! He would! I just wish I was there to protect you."

Emmett looked away again, putting his face in his hands. I saw him start to shake, so I went to touch him. But then, I though better of it and pulled my hand away, instead just looking at my hand. It was injured. Scratches were on my fingers, bandages as well. What happened!?

"You're okay, that's all that matters now." He grabbed the hand I was staring at, making me look up at him.

A moment passed just of us staring.

"What happened Emm?" I was quiet.

It was tense, this moment. His face changed to complete sadness. The room felt cold, or maybe it was just me, but I started to shake.

"You were raped Jane. The night before. The doctors checked you out... you're okay." he started. "And Jane..."

That made me gulp as I stared into his eyes, watching some hurt flash in them. Don't tell me. Just don't.

"You're pregnant."

It was hot and heavy. Avery was on top of me, her birthday suit making me crazy. He lips were glued to mine as we made out on my bed. The rush of a sex drive was just hitting me as I gripped onto her body, feeling each curve. She was beautiful.

I could feel my blood rush as I moved her to go under me. She pulled away in that second, giving me the biggest smile she ever could give me.

"Baby, you're back." her voice just made me urn for her.

"I sure am,"

I smacked my lips against hers, and the hot was back. I bit her lip, slipping my tongue into her mouth. Out tongues danced with each other as I ran my hands down from her breasts, down. Her hands wen through my hair, then trailed down, meeting my bum.

"Avery," I nibbled at her lip.

A giggle came from her as our bodies met.

Kristin had her hands down my chest as her tongue explored my mouth. I was already groping her, feeling the need to get inside her. Her body was a dream. This Mile-High Club thing, yeah, it was amazing.

"You have a condom?" She asked, her voice making me smile.

"Yeah,"

Less sex, kay? This is getting to be too much. Not enjoying it. Lets focus on developing a plot, 'cause @Nike and have stuff to discuss. If Jane never went to Germany, Emmett never lost his virginity, right? @Hearts should post to Lacey.

Emmett

I'm a shallow bastard.

It's true, and I know it very well. I look at my bruised and battered girlfriend, her body pale and cold as a corpse, and all I want to do is waltz away. I feel the longing of my hurt, tugging away, tugging me far beyond this place, far beyond the life have and the one I want.

I feel broken for what happened to her, feel desperately that want to protect her; any guy would be furious if that happened to his girlfriend, and I am here to throw myself at her in the red veil of anger. The pregnancy, though, reminds me of who she is, and I have run everything I know of her through my head since the Doctors gave me the news, hours ago.

She's a whore. I'd forgotten about that since our first kiss; I have so well glamourized her that her nature as fallen beneath her. She's had sex so much, and I am a guy who has never done wrong. I want to hide the truth from her, but this is not another one of those things that I can just shove under my belt and solve later.

"You're pregnant."

The response is immediate, and another dark thought crosses my mind, and I struggle to fit I into the already overflowing trash bin. She's prepared for a moment like this. In her head, she had to think this, over, and over again.

She starts crying, large, snotty tear with a long hiccup thrown violently in-between. Her body is racked with violent shakes, and go over, putting my arm gently on her shoulder and let her cry it out.

"I can't be, that's not possible!"

I attempt to wrap her in a hug, but the acceptance is brief. As soon as I have her in my grasp, she flips out of it with a strangely high amount of strength. Her descent from the bed to the little bathroom is slow, but I can't calculate what's going on, until she has her fist placed violently on her stomach, her eyes glazed over.

"Jane!"

I am so much quicker, and I fly to her, yanking her arms-perhaps violently- behind her back. She does not struggle, but I know she is in panic mode in the face of discovery. I went through the same thing with Lacey.

"I don't want his baby, Emm. I can't have Drake's baby." She is still crying, but her tears are not as harsh anymore.

I try to make my voice as stern as possible, but I am shaking a bit too. "You need to wait. You need to be able to make a decision with a straight mind, not a foggy one. Can you do that for me, please?" Jane nods, and I let her go. "You still aren't recovered. Go back to bed and get better. We'll talk about this later."

She climbs back into bed, closing her eyes. know she will not sleep, just listen to me breath. I climb into bed besides her.

She is not pregnant from last night, I know that, but from when? The question continues echoing endlessly in the sharp halls of logic in my brain.

I want her to keep whatever's inside her; at the very least, give birth and give it away. I'll be there to support her, but I find myself turning shallow at every corner. I want support for Lacey, but I keep making excuses for Jane. Some dark part of me says it was always going to happen, and the other part whispers that I can't give my life up for this.

Unlike Jane, I will be able to fall asleep in this hospital bed, and so I do.
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

I couldn't breathe

I felt like I couldn't catch my breath. My throat was closed up and my chest was tight, as if resisting the urge to let me live. My stomach felt alien, all unknown. I wanted to just pull it off and dump it in the next dumpster. I started to shiver, my body shook violently. Emmett was already fast asleep next to me, but I knew I would wake him up. Instead, he gripped me tighter, as if calming me down. I couldn't do this. I couldn't have a baby. I didn't have sex recently. Just... yesterday.

Though I don't count that as sex because it wasn't voluntary.

I tried to get out of bed. Pulling Emmett's arms off was no use. What if I needed to use the bathroom? He's not stupid. He knows I'd want to run away.

I'm the worst girlfriend in the world.

Tears started to prick at my eyes as I gripped my stomach in hate. My breath caught in my throat as I felt a sob coming on. The look on my face had to be of an ugly, pregnant teenager. So ugly. So worthless. I sobbed and sobbed, my heart crashing and my body shaking. I couldn't see from all the tears coming out of my eyes.

"Why." I whipered through a cry. "Why!"

The sobs continued and Emmett just gripped me tighter. He was awake. He knew I was sobbing. He just didn't know what to do, and I don't fucking blame him.

"I'm such a slut!" I started to yell at the top of my lungs.

"I'm a whore! I'm a little bitch! An unhappy, worthless, ugly, pregnant, ass bitch! A teen fucking mom!!" my throat started to burn from the yelling.

"Jane," Emmett said with venom.

"No!! I don't deserve to live. My life is fucking worthless! I used it for nothing but bad! I can never be happy because I'm a bitch! A psycho bitch!" I actually started to laugh. To laugh. It was odd and sounded funny, but I did.

"I don't deserve you Emmett. I deserve to die!"

"No, Jane." I felt him try to make me face him. I pushed off of him and jumped off the bed, heading toward the window.

We had to be on a high floor. Looking out, I noticed we weren't. We were on the first floor.

"The fuck?! You don't trust me! You don't trust me on a higher floor Emmett?!" I gripped the window frame.

"Jane..." his voice was tired.

I heard the bed creek and then his feet hitting the tiled floors. The next thing I know, his hands were on my shoulders and I tensed up at his touch. It calmed me down and I started to shake again, my eyes bursting with tears.

"I don't blame you. I am suicidal." I whispered.

He wrapped is uber warm arms around my waist and pulled me close, letting me sob yet again.

***

"Jane, do you know who the father could be?" The doctor said, I believe Doctor Shepard.

He had really great blonde hair ad hazel eyes. I would say he was just in his mid-thirties, a happy man. A happy life.
We were in my hospital room of the next day. It was check up time and time for us to speak of the baby. Emmett left in the morning, he had to go to Lacey. Of course I'd rather have him with me, but to be honest, Lacey is way more important now.

"No," I huffed, feeling naked even though I was clothed.

"Ms. Wills, we have to find out. I know it's scary, but we just got to know if you're lying or you actually don't know. Tell me your recent sex partners."

I looked up into his eyes. There was honesty and trust just flashing in them. Something barley every doctor had. I couldn't not.

"One was... Drake." I spoke out.

He jotted it down. "A surname?"

"Montgomery,"

Another jot and then he looked back at me. I swallowed hard and searched my brain for more.

"I don't remember," I said shyly, looking down at my hands as I played with them. I felt him eye me. "I think it's only him. But it was yesterday. And... a few months ago. Oh no." I looked back up at him with wild eyes. "Please tell me I'm only like a week pregnant. I don't want this baby. I can't have this baby!! If it's months then... I can't remove it." I started to shake again, my brain whirrling.

"It's okay Jane, don't worry." his face started to show worry. "Jane, you're just a month pregnant. If you want an abortion, you can have one. Do you want a DNA test?"

"I know it's Drake. He's the only one I had sex with." I calmed down.

"We will take one. Do you want to tell him?"

"No."

Avery

"Dammit Avery..." I think to myself as I lay on Will's chest, his breathing getting deeper and deeper as he drifts to sleep. I hear my phone vibrate softly and sigh. How the hell am I supposed to disentangle myself from Will right now? I have to prove that i still love him. Well I don't. He does. He still has yet to prove to me that he doesn't have any lingering feelings from his coma, for Lena. Or well...sexually he did of course. That orgasm was amazing. But still he hasn't spoken of his feelings or of the coma since two days ago at the diner.
Will finally begins snoring softly (he's so frickin cute!) and I slip out of his arms trying to be as quiet as possible and hardly move him at the same time. I pick my phone from the pair of black skinny jeans I had been wearing before Will ripped them off of me.

Hey Avery, I was just wondering if you'd like to um...come over for a little bit. I don't mind picking you up.

I sigh again and walk out of Will's room, softly closing his door. I dial up Leo's number and walk down the hallway to the bathroom as it rings.

"Hey Avery!" Leo says, his voice breathless. I smile involuntarily. Why is he so fucking cute?

"Hey Leo. Did I call you at a bad time?" I ask, putting the toilet seat down and gingerly sitting on it.

"No. Well yes. Well..no! Of course not. You can call me at any time. I had just been eating dinner, and looking over some art designs to decorate a particular event with. The phone had just been in my room, and you know how big this house is..." He says chuckling.

"Oh...you could've called me back later." I say, though in my head i'm so happy he's picked up. So happy to hear his voice.

"No no. It was no problem at all. I just had to rush to make sure that it didn't go to voicemail. I'm so happy to hear your voice. We haven't spoken for a straight..." I hear shuffling, and know that he's literally checking his watch now. "For a straight five hours!" He says in mock amazement. I laugh out loud, and begin twirling a piece of hair around my finger.

"I find it really creepy that you've been keeping track of time since we've last spoken. And umm...well I was at Will's. Or am at Will's." I say, my tone hesitant. He's silent for a second.

"Oh...well. Have you guys...umm...spoken about getting back together?" He asks.

"Oh...there wasn't much speaking." I say, chuckling nervously. He's silent again. I sigh and continue. "Leo...don't wait for me okay?" I say quietly. I hear him sigh deeply.

"Avery...this is going to sound really fucking corny. But I know that you feel our connection. It isn't even about chemistry anymore. It's a pull. I've been so happy these past two days getting to know you, and I can hear your smile through the phone every time we speak. You feel it. I feel it. Will...he just doesn't have that like you and I do." He says in a rush. And i'm so conflicted. And confused. I channel it into anger.

"Leo you have no right to tell me what we feel in our relationship. You don't know how I feel for Will! I love him so much that it hurts!" I know that i'm being honest with this statement. But I refuse to acknowledge any feeling for Leo.

"Don't get angry Avery." Leo says, his tone exasperated. "Just think about what i've said, alright? And I refuse to move on, until your able to tell me honestly how you feel about me." Before I can respond, I hear the three beeps on the phone, telling me that he's hung up. I get off of the toilet and look at myself in the bathroom mirror. I stare at my long dark brown hair that i've recently highlighted honey-blonde streaks in. I stare at myself, my green eyes wide and fakely innocent. My body, its curves. I'm beautiful. Pretty damn gorgeous actually. But...I feel like a lie. I walk back into Wills room and cuddle into him. I love him. I know that I do.

Kristin

"Well that was...ummm...unexpected." I say with a smile, tying my now messy hair into a ponytail. Oliver chuckles and pulls the scrunchie back out of my hair.

"I could definitely go for a round five..." He says, making a trail of kisses down my neck and to my shoulder. I throw my head back and lean into him. As he begins pulling my loose, off the shoulder sweater back off the speaker overhead informs us that we will be landing in the next five minutes, and thanks us for taking British airways.

"We can make it a quickie." He says hurriedly, quickly unbuttoning his jeans. I shake my head with a rueful smile.

"Sadly, this time its a no love." I say with a smirk and pull back up my jeans. H rolls his eyes but smiles.

"So...between fuck number two and three you had been in the midst of telling me why you were going to the U.S." He says, watching me as I wash my face to clear off the smeared mascara and lipstick.

"Oh...i'll be staying with my cousin Avery and her family. My parents believe that i've been partying waaaaay to hard back in Berlin. So they figure that Avery will be a good influence on me. But what they don't know..." I stop as I pucker my lips to apply my hot pink lipstick back on " Is that Avery is one of the worst influences ever. Not only is she a controlling bitch but she parties just as much, if not more than I do. But I love her all the same." I say smiling at myself in the mirror.

"Where exactly will you be staying again? Just for further clarification in case I want to do this again." He says, as he bends and begins nibbling on my neck. I sigh, and throw my head back yet again. Just as I begin considering that quicky, he pulls himself back and smiles at me.

"In connecticut. Harmony, Connecticut." I say, slipping my feet back into my comfy moccasins. He smiles widely.

"Well then...I'll be able to do that a lot more often. Ciao, Kristin. This was quite the interesting flight." He says, and before I can ask what that means he's already out of the bathroom. I roll my eyes and finish applying my eyeliner, and then melt into the crowd outside of the bathroom, slowly shuffling out of the plane.

"Oh K!" I hear a familiar voice call out, and then i'm almost tackled to the ground by my cousin. I smile widely and hug her back just as tight as she hugs me. When she backs up, my jaw falls to the ground.

"V! You have tits! And an ass! And Holy Shit, are these hips I detect!" I look my cousin up and down. Although she hasn't grown an inch, she's definitely grown out. She's curves galore! Last time I say her, she had braces, Horribly oily hair, acne all over her face, and was as flat as a board. Now her face is as clear as a proactive model, her hair is long and thick and gorgeously shiny (in a totally non-oily way!), her teeth are straight and bright white, and her curves are those of a goddess. She's fucking beautiful. And me i'm...

"Jesus! Don't talk about me! Kris...your fricking glowing! And not as white as dracula! But with a tan better than Blake Lively's! And geez...look at how slender you are!" She scoffs. My memory flashes back to how fat I used to be. I was bordering two hundred and eighty pounds. And then...I went on the meth diet. Mom and dad found it on me just as I reached my weight goal. Six weeks later...here i am. Tanned, not addicted, and slim. So very slim.

"Kristin!" Uncle Piest calls out. He gives me a tight hug and then auntie Donna comes and hugs me tightly.

"You look great Kristin!" Aunt D exclaims. I smile and hug her tightly.

"Lets head home. We've got some of your favorite at home!" Uncle Adriaan says proudly. I gasp.

"You got-" I begin but Avery cuts me off.

"Your Masa toro with black caviar!" Avery says smiling. I smile largely.

"Yum yum yum! We havta get home fast, before the deliciousness turns to grossness! I cry out, grabbing Averys arm tightly, and rushing towards the exit. When we're far enough from her parents I lean down.

"I have so much to tell you." I say, whispering. She chuckles knowingly.

"You have no idea."

When I woke up, I was ready to snuggle up to Avery and watch a good movie. But, to my surprise, she was gone. At first, I thought she went to the bathroom. Then I realized, of course she didn't. All her stuff was gone.

So, I got out of bed and looked at my phone, seven o'clock in the morning. How brilliant. The weekend, Saturday. What was I going to do.

***

A Month Later
Spoiler
I want to get ahead so I could get to a better part of his recovery :) and so we could go into Winter. It will be the 1st of October!

"It's been around a month and a half since you've awoken. There are procedures we take to see how you are doing every so often." A Nurse said.

I was in the hospital, meeting up with my Doctor. They took me through an MRI, and CAT scan and pulled some blood out of me. Simple tests. Since I already go to a psychiatrist and psychologist, they don't ask me many of those types of questions. They just ask me a few, to test me. This is going to be very normal soon, and I understand why this is happening. I need to be okay.

"Alright, I have a few questions on this sheet. I will ask you them and you give me the answer, I will see if they are correct. And then there will be a personal questionnaire for you to take afterwards. You understand Mr. Franco?" He had a boring voice that was so monotone, I practically didn't.

Nodding my head, I cleared my throat and watched his slender fingers grip his pen. For a man, he was petite, but very fit. I was jealous of his muscles. He takes me to the gym every once in a will to work on my health and I'll tell you what, killer muscles that I need to work on. I used to have them, but ever since the accident, I'm pretty unstable at the moment.

The room was too sterile for me to concentrate. The walls just were super white and the recces lighting just made it all the worse. I looked over the room to distract myself and all I found were normal hospital equipment. Though, we were in the Family Practice area. Shelving, a sink, q-tips, pictures of health. There was even a poster of the structure of the brain, amazing.

"Question One," he started. "Are you in high school or in college?"

Knowing what 'world' you're in, you tend to answer what you think is right in that certain 'world'. In this one, I am in high school. But if I were to awaken from a coma in the other 'world', I'd be in college. As simple as that. So you just answer whatever you feel is right. So, I don't know how this helps.

"High School," I said.

He marked something on the sheet and went on. "Are you really in said, High School? Or are you saying that because you just believe you are?"

Oh shit. I mean. I do believe this is real. I just don't know anymore.

"I don't know."

"Right, that's what I thought." A smirk came up on his face as he looked at me for a brief moment. Oh, Nurse Spencer.

"I know it's not easy now... but it will get easy. It's probably so confusing in your mind, you don't even wanna go back into it and think too much." he added.

I just nodded and looked down at the clean white tiled floors. Again, so white my eyes started to burn. I looked back at him.

"I actually wrote these questions... and I feel stupid about it. These won't help you." he started to flip through the pages on his clip board. "But these will. Alright."

With a look of satisfaction, he started to question me again. "You may not remember the accident, and I'm not surprised you don't, but maybe you might remember something. When you got in this accident, you happened to be coming from your friends party, Christopher's."

I swallowed hard. Chris. I have not seen him in so long.

"And you were driving, alone, in your Ford pick-up. You got this truck from your Uncle. Anyways..." a short pause. "Do you remember the party?"

"How am I supposed to remember this party if I was drunk?"

With a deep breath in and a wide smile, he looked at me. That's the face that said, "I know what I'm doing and I will help you.". It made me actually start to believe that this just had to be real. It had to be.

"Come with me."

***

There it was.

My car.

All wrecked. Under some kind of surveillance. There were people walking around it, checking inside and out. They were wearing lab coats and holding clipboards. He had taken me to a police department. There, the Chief let me go to see my car, only because I actually had license to see it. The officers had given me a license, so when I woke up, I'd be able to see it.

They were investigating the accident still. Why? I don't know. It was obvious that I was an idiot and got drunk. But maybe my Uncle didn't believe them and wanted a through search. Or no. He would believe that that happened to me.

"Why are they investigating?" I asked.

"Well, they told me they had to take a good look at the car, to see if no one messed with it." Nurse Spencer said from next to me. In this light, his caramel skin came off yellowy, fluorescent lights were bad.

"But it's obvious what happened."

"Not necessarily."

I just looked at him very confused.

Jane Wills

"Emmett," I said into the phone.

"Jane,"

"I want an abortion."

Silence.

Oliver Hemingway

"Welcome to America! The land of the sluts and the beer!" I yelled out as I downed my seventh beer.

Yes, I was out getting drunk. All by myself. At a bar where everyone knew my name. I came here too often. But I loved it. they loved it. It was a win win situation.

"Aye, Oli! Another round?" the bartender, Monday said. Yes, his name was Monday. But he was so cool that that name looked amazing and made me jealous. I wanted that name because of him.

"No, I think I should stop." I cracked a smile.

"Really? Okay... fun shouldn't stop though."

"You just want my money!"

"That's what I mean bro, I need the doe."

We both started laughing as he handed me a glass of water. I downed that in a matter of seconds and stood up, realizing that the word seemed extremely crooked to me. I balanced myself against the chair and tried to focus on two things. I need to slash and I was starving. Again.

I felt someone take hold of me and lead me toward the toilets. It's like they read my mind. Amazing, these Americans. Oh, I would never say that. I'm drunk for sure. Everything seemed blurry until the doors slammed and water was splashed onto my face. That never helps to get sober, but it helps to regain some dignity.

Looking at the person, my vision started to focus and recognize. It was a girl. A darn beautiful one at it. She had amazingly long hair, a great colour of dark auburn, small blue eyes, and a round face. She looked like The Little Mermaid. She was in skinny jeans, and an ACDC crop top, just added with some Converse. I believe she couldn't been any older than sixteen at tops, she honestly looked fourteen. But so daringly beautiful.

"Why, hello." I said, noticing my voice got cracked. "You're in the men's toilets."

"Yeah, I sorta noticed," her voice was surprisingly deep, but in a deep that looked good on her. It wasn't manly at all. Just soft but deeper than most girls.

"Why did you help me? And how old are you? You don't seem bar age in America."

"It doesn't matter." she huffed.

"Yes it does. This is very illegal."

Rolling her eyes, she placed her hand on the door knob and started to leave. I took a deep breath and was trying to find a way to make her stay.

"Wait," I said. She paused. "What's your name? Ariel?"

A small smile crept on her face as she pulled away from the door and looked at me. Man, when she smiles, the whole world really stops and stares for a while.

"It's Jane. You?"

"Jane, amazing name. Actually, it might be my favourite name. I'm called Oliver Hemingway." I smiled.

"Like the author, Ernest?"

"Precisely."

"Nice stuff, I'm just Jane Wills. Nothing too special."

I walked up to her, feeling the floor get shifty underneath me, probably due to the drunkness. But I walked closer, I felt like we were just to magnets pulling at one another.

"I think it's special because it represents you, my dear. Jane Wills," I sang her name.

A small rosy blush crept on her cheeks as she looked away, staring at the dingy mirror. This whole toilet was just horrible. It reeked of piss, had a standing toilet and sink, a small rubbish bin. The walls were a brown that represented shit. They really wanted us to use the loo properly. No one could have sex here.

"Alright buckaroo, let's take you out of here." She said with a more serious tone, but she was still smiling.

"Just let me take a slash, alright?"

That's how drunk I was. I took a piss in front of her. Well, into the toilet. Maybe she looked away, I wasn't entirely sure.

I'm obssessed. One hundred percent, head over heels, sappy love, obssessed. I can't get Avery out of my head...no matter how hard I try. So when I see her friend, and my roomate, Linnie entering the large home i've been staying at for the past few monthsI decide to get my usual interrogation done now, rather than later, before the curiousity begins eating me alive. Linnie sighs as I approach her, and puts her shopping bag down, than holds up a freshly manicured hand.

"Before you ask, I have no idea how she's doing. I played hookie today, and decided to spend the day in NYC. And I actually did your ass a favor while I was out. One that doesn't include Avery." She says, while looking at her phone and texting.

"What in the world could you do for me that doesn't include her?" I ask, frustratedly running a hand through my hair. Suddenly she smiles, revealing a set of pearly white teeth.

"We better leave now, so that you can see." She says, then tightly grabs my arm and drags me outside.

45 minutes later

"Table B-3. I'll be across the street at the miu miu looking for a new pair of heels. Have fun now." She says with a small wave before disappearing out. I look around the restaurant, or well jazz cafe, and have to admit that its low lighting, comfy looking couches, and all around romantic ambiance definitely makes it into one of the top places that I would bring Avery on our first date. I walk up to the seating stand, and state the table to the employee. He nods with a smile, and leads me through a maze of bodies, all attractive bohemian looking people, either smoking hookahs, reading, on laptops, anything. When we get to the table I finally realize what this was. A blind date. Linnie seriously set me up on a blind date.
Admittedly, the girl is gorgeous. I can tell, even with her face buried in a book. Her red hair falls past her elbow in a mix of wavy curls. Her face is heart shaped, and she is obviously petite. Suddenly she looks up, looks me up and down and then smiles a cat like smile. Its sexy, i'll give her that. She rises, and I realize that i had hit the spot. She is petite. Very much so. She's only a few inches taller than Avery, whom if I had to guess is around 4'9 or 5'0. This girl was tiny and cute. She was wearing a large hoodie that was probably only a large in women sizes and a pair of black leggings. Her hair hit her hip and looked pretty damn soft to the touch. She was the type of girl i'd go for before Avery. She was cute, had an intelligent glint in her eyes, which I can now tell are a deep shade of china blue. And a sexy mischievous smirk.

"Your Leo? Am I right?" She asks, in a surprisingly deep voice. Not manly. Far from actually. But a nice femininely deep voice that dripped like honey. I smiled and extended my hand towards her. She took it in her own small hand but didn't shake it. Instead she turnt it palm up, and kissed the palm of my hand, her small rosebud lips touching my palm softly. She giggled as she let go of my hand.

"Sorry. Thats how I greet guys I feel a connection with." She sat down and looked at me waiting for me to sit myself. I slowly sat down, a smile growing on my face.

"So you're a complete and utter weirdo I take it?" I ask, a smirk growing on my face. This time she laughed out loud, and I watched as several men turned to look at our table, to see what type of siren could emit that beautiful noise.

"I sure am." She says and flips her hair over her shoulder. "QUite the weirdo. So. Tell me about yourself. And I mean all of it. And if I like what I hear, i'll sleep with you tonight. If I don't...well i'll probably still blow you because your really fucking cute." I looked her up and down and shrugged. If Avery is still having fun...well don't I deserve to have some myself once in a while. I put a hand on the girls knee and ask her name.

"Ailynn." She says, and then listens as I fill her in on all of me.

Oliver Hemingway

Pain. All bloody over me. I cringed as I sat up, opening my eyes. Another day. Another party. Another hangover. And... another girl. I blinked frantically, trying to focus at the angel in front of me.

She had a soft round face. Her beautiful auburn hair was tied up in a knot on top of her head. I enjoyed eyeing her petite frame. But I couldn't stop staring at her face. It was bloody amazing. There were a few zits but that did not bother me. She was focused at the book she was reading, as if the world didn't exist around her. It was a beautiful, peaceful image, just her and the book. I noticed she was also wearing a pair of earphones, maybe she was listening to something good.

Lifting myself off the bed, I realized how badly hungover I was. For a second, she made me forget. I shook my head, feeling the pain hit every corner of my brain, and stood on my own two feet. Then, I felt a pair of hands grab my shoulders. Looking up, I stared into an amazing pool of teal eyes. There were small specks of purple swimming about them. I felt like I couldn't breathe for that moment, my lungs froze in my chest.

"You hungover bastard. Lay down," A small cracked her soft cheeks as she set me back down. Her voice made me shiver.

"Cold?" she asked.

I didn't react and just stared at her as she lay me down, looking at me with an odd facial expression.

"'Kay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I finally woke up from the trance.

The bed felt like magic underneath me as she pulled the comforter over me. It was an IKEA comforter that I recognized, with letters all over it. This whole room looked girly but yet tomboy thrown here and there. It had to be her bedroom.

"Okay Oli," she sighed. "I'll grab a cup of coffee, and you try to wake up. I know, I just told you to lay down, but that was my moment of pity. I've been hungover a billion of times and I'm sure you have too." she said this as she walked around the room, looking for something. "So get your British arse up and I'll be just across the hall, in the kitchen." she actually mocked British accent at the 'British arse' part. It made me smile.

I fell hard for her, and I don't even remember her name.

"It's Jane," she smiled as she sipped her coffee. "I knew you wouldn't remember."

I replied with a smile that made her start to laugh. Her laugh. It was an amazing sound. So soft, but yet not girly at all. And then she pointed at the corner of her mouth, which made me wipe my cheek with a napkin. She nodded, drinking her coffee.

"Thanks for the pancakes." I said.

"I can see you're enjoying them..." she trailed off as her phone rang. She picked it up and placed it against her ear, answering it.

"Ma, hey." she said. "Be right back,"

And she went off into her bedroom. I finished off my plate and put it into the sink. Her mother's apartment looked incredible, so New York-esk. Modern, yet homey, as Jane described it. I loved it.

"Oh shit." and then she was running passed me, grabbing her coat and sneakers. She opened the door, looked around the flat, and remembered, I am here. I smiled and waved awkwardly and she huffed.

"Sorry mate,"a pause. "I have to go. Can you chill for a while?"

"I should be headed home... but I don't even know where I am." I replied honestly.

"When I come back, I'll drive you down to Harmony. Right now I have a Doc appointment. It'll be quick. Recover and relax." The door slammed behind her and the place got quiet.

"You can't have an abortion!" Emmett said, his nostrils flaring.

That I understood, he had a sister in the same condition.

"But Emmett, I don't want this baby. I wanna live my life. I cannot have this damn child."

"Then have it, but give it up for adoption."

"I can't have this conversation right now."

Right on cue, the doctor came in. We were in the room with the Ultra Sound. My doctor saw something wrong with the last one, so he wanted to get it checked again. I was laying on the bed, my stomach uncovered. A very flat stomach for a month in really. He smiled, already feeling our extremely good energy. I am even sarcastic in my head.

"Hello Jane, Emmett. Ready?"

"Sure thing." I smiled.

He jotted some notes down onto a notepad then placed it onto the counter behind him. For a hospital, this place felt more homey with everyday I came in. Same white walls, sterile smell. Fun fun fun.

We both nodded, watching his sit on a stool and start the machine up. He then proceeded to grab a bottle and squirt whatever was inside onto my stomach. Smoothing it on with the weird paddle-thing, he looked on the monitor. A weird look came onto his face as he moved the thing around my stomach, staring into the monitor. Emmett and I stared as well, looking for something we didn't know we were looking for.

"Alright then," Doctor Kendell huffed, pulling the thing off my stomach and wiping it with some cloth which he proceeded to toss into the trash.

"What?" I asked out right as Emmett wiped the gunk off my stomach.

"Jane, you had a miscarriage." Doctor Kendell looked me dead in the eye.

"What..." both Emmett and I said.

"You didn't notice. Sometimes it happens that the egg dies and escapes. It doesn't happen often but it tends to. We have to clean your uterus though, It left a lot of, let's say, gunk."

"But, there was no pain. No blood." I said, confused and sort of upset. My heart was racing, Was it a mother thing?

"Jane, you had a miscarriage. I'm so sorry, but your baby is gone."

We had the cleaning. Everything was done and it was the day after. It felt weird not to have a baby anymore. It really did. I just got used to it and then suddenly, it was gone. Like something was missing.

"Hey," Emmett smiled. "You'll be alright. At least you won't be having Drake's child."

"That's not nice, it was my baby."

"Jane,"

I huffed, fiddling with my bracelets. They were all lined up on my right arm, like a pretty rainbow of colors and textures. I saw Emmett's hand touch y arm, then felt the warmth of his skin against mine.

"You didn't even ask me how I got pregnant with him when I was with you. You didn't even blow up about me cheating on you." I said.

"Because I can't change what happened."

"He raped me,"

Silence.

"Yes, I let him rape me twice."

"You didn't let him."

"Emmett, I let him. I could've stopped him, but I didn't. And now I lost my baby. He... he came up to me in New York when I was visiting my mother. Took me for coffee. Slipped something into my mug. Woke up in a pickup, naked to the bone."

Avery

"So what now?" I ask Kristin, as she continues to eat her expensive sushi roll and watch Teen mom 2. She shrugs with a look of boredom.

"Go to school with you...eat this yummy sushi....find a nice sweet boyfriend. I refuse to think about Oliver. He'll just forever be apart of that closed chapter of my life. The bad chapter." She shrugs again and than eyes me mischievously with a smirk. "Would you happen to have someone nice and sexy to set me up with?" She asks rolling over onto my side of the bed and snuggling into me. I think for a second and then the perfect guy pops up.

"Why I most definitely do. I'll introduce you two in school tomorrow. Oh and than you can meet all of my bitches!" I cry out excitedly, the impact of my sister-like cousin going to school with me truly hitting me. I clap my hands excitedly and start hopping on the bed. "OMG and then we can plan parties together-" She cuts me off beginning to hop herself.

"And bake together-"

"And double date together-"

"And run Harmony fucking high together!" We both collapse into giggles and then pile on top of each other together. After we both calm down we begin watching Poltergeist.

"I've missed you Ave." She says quietly, twisting a piece of my curly hair around her finger.

"I've missed you like crazy Kris. So much has happened...and i've missed my bad bitch in crime." I say, and nudge her shoulder softly with a grin.

"Oh can we go to New York tomorrow and go shopping. I like need a new hussy dress!" She says. I shake my head.

"Nah...we have to go to school. Oh by the way, what clubs are you joining this year?" I ask.

"Definitely cheer leading. Probably gymnastics. And maybe something scholastic like...debate?' I nod my head approvingly.

"That'll be great. We'll be able to hang out in cheer leading and gymnastics. And the scholastic club thing was a good idea. I'm in model U.N and College preppers." I pat her on the knee. "We're both gonna be great this year. Gah! I just can't believe that your here! That you'll be living here!" I hug her tightly. "You were always like a sister to me. I mean it seems like no one in the world is as touchy feely as I am." I say with a playful sigh. She tickles me.

"I'm glad i'm here. Alosha just couldn't handle me anymore. She's started dating some random bitch but its fine. I know that she still loves me. Meanwhile...i'll just continue on with my guys while i'm here." She shrugs with a smile." Anyways...who do you plan to introduce to me tomorrow?" She asks.

"O everyone!" I say excitedly " Theres my group of best friends, and then my posse, and then...well just everyone else. But lets get to sleep. We'll have a long day tomorrow, and we havta find some clothes in my closet for you to borrow." I say with a smile. She nods, and clocks out immediately. I turn off the t.v and get to sleeping myself.

Kristin

"Kris...hey get up...come on man, we havta start getting ready." Avery sys, shaking me awake. I nod and yawn. She goes off into her walk in closet and i stretch to get myself awake.

"Avey, pick me out something sexy and tight to wear." I call out, and then pick myself up. While i'm the bathroom brushing my teeth Avery holds up a cute flowy tank top and a pair of leggings. I shake my head furiously and quickly use some mouthwash and then race into the closet.

"Ahhh...here...perfect!" I say happily.

"Jesus! Kris...I don't think that you'd be allowed to wear that at school." Avery says warningly. I scoff and begin getting dressed. When we're both done we both sigh and face each other.

"You look great!"I say, gesturing to my cousin, eyeing her approvingly. She's wearing a large dark red upside down cross tank top with a pair of short shorts, showing off her caramel legs perfectly. Paired with it is a spiked clutch with a matching pair of high wedge spiked heels. Her hair is in a tight high ponytail, straightened within its life, and her makeup is done greatly, her black eyeliner bringing out her dark green eyes. Now this is why I used to be jealous of her. Only she can wear stuff like this, and make it her own.

"And you look like a sexy schoolgirl...atleast you...well added socks. But hot. Definitely hot." I walked over to her mirror. I checked myself out from the skin tight, botton down shirt, with my plaid skinny tie matching the plaid short short...short skirt (which matches my plaid undies by the way), all kept together by the dark gray high heels and high matching knee socks. My hair is put into two cute curled blonde pigtails that fall down to my midrift, and my makeup is done naturally, with nothing but some blush, a dab of mascara, and a swipe of pink lip gloss.

"You ready love?" Avery said, calling me from downstairs. I adjust my diamond studs, gold cross necklace, and run straight into her turquoise porsche.

"Starbucks?" She nods and zooms off. By the time we reach her school we're both ready, her with her caramel macchiato and berry parfait, me with my salted caramel mocha and blueberries. As soon as she parks and gets out a tiny little curvaceous blonde tackles her.

"Morning baby boop!" The girl cries out. Avery smiles brightly.

"Morning boo bear!" She says happily and hugs the girl back. "Lin Lin this is my cuzzo and sis by default, Kristin. Kris, this is Linnie, the self appointed besty." Linnie soon hugs and latches to me and I hug her back. Gosh, I think that I love this chick. She looks up at me with a bright smile.

"Gosh damn Ave she's hot!" Linnie gasps separating from me. I giggle and shrug." You better get ready Kristin. There are soooooo many dyed blondes in this bitch, but I can tell that your a real one. Join the club." I high five the hand that she holds up, and she nods approvingly." I approve." She says nodding her head.

"I have to introduce her to everyone!" Avery gasps. She takes my wrist and tugs me to a group full of attractive girls, all holding up phones, drinking starbucks, and leaning on their cute bulky boyfriends.

"Girls!" Avery calls out authoritively. "This is my cousin and your new co-captain." They look up, surprised and confused.
"What the hell do you me co captain? I've been begging for that since ninth grade!" Yells a dyed blonde. Yep. There goes one.
" Show them K." I laugh out loud at Averys command and realize that she's serious. Gosh, that sounds like something out of a corny movie. I shrug, bend and touch my toes, shake out my arms, and then backup a couple of feet and do a full twist catapult. A few gasp and I hear one girl clap. Avery smiles at me then smirks at them, while I straighten my pleaded skirt and shoot faces at each of the guys looking at me.

"How did you do that with no trampoline?" A petite brunette asks curiously.

"I do a lot of strength workouts on my legs." I answer with another shrug.

"Can you teach me some later? I'm still trying to get my half twist down." She asks, and I nod as Avery pulls me along with her.

"Hey Jane!" Avery calls out to the pretty, boho looking chick with auburn long hair, and really pretty eyes.

"Hey...whatsup?" She asks Avery, putting a bookmark into the book she was reading. I don't know what it is about her...but I get a good feeling from her. A vibe that I really like. I wanna be her friend.

"This is Kristin. My cousin." Avery says showing me off to the girl. Jane looks me up and down, shrugs, and says "Okay." She begins to walk away before I callout for her.

"Yes?" She asks politely , probably confused as to why i'm bothering her.

"Can we um...go out for coffee later?" I ask a tad nervously. She shrugs yet again.

"Sure, just get back to me later. I may have plans." I nod and she continues to walk off.

"Hey babe." A tall cute guy says, grabbing Avery by the waist and kissing her cheek, while she grins cheekily and kisses him back.

"Hey Willy Boo. Oh Will this is Kristin my cousin. Kristin this is Will, my boyfriend, Lena, the other besty, and Chris, her boyfriend." I hug each of them, and they take it haltingly, surprised at my touchy-feelyness I guess.

"Nice to meet you." They all say with smiles.

"Seems you also have the hugging gene." Will says jokingly, while Avery playfully slaps him on the arm.

"We should all go shopping this weekend!" Lena says, to me and Avery. We both nod in consent, and I quickly give her my cell number,

"Now let me take you to the main office," Avery says, tugging on my arm again. I wave at all of them and follow her there.

"They all seem nice." I say with a smile. She nods and scoffs in a duh sort of way. And then suddenly a guy passes me. A tall, tanned, lean, all around yummy guy. His kind brown eyes look at me and I just have to stop him.

"Hi...i'm Kristin. I'm new here." I say with a shy smile.

"I'm Emmett."The guy says with a gorgeous deep baritone. Oh gosh...I really really like this one. I put two fingers behind my back, Avery and I's universal sign for get the hell outta here, Cute guy alert.

"Um... I'll see ya later Kris. Emmett, would you mind showing Kristin to the main office and her classes?" Avery asks and then rushes off. He looks uncomfortable for a second.

"I kinda have somewhere to go...."He says running his hand through his hair. I sigh disappointedly.

"I'm sorry. I don't wanna be a burden." I say, and look down. He sighs again.

"I guess that I can quickly show you the way..." He says sighing. I smile brightly, and he smiles back. Yeah...its infectious.

"Thank you oh so much!" I say and hook my arm to his. " Would you mind also helping me to catchup in a few of my classes...maybe tomorrow after school?" I ask, as we venture down the hallway. I get butterflies with this guy. I've only gotten those with Oliver. I like this one. He's sweet and nice. And I just wanna make him mine.

Desti, Kristin is gonna have problems with Jane lolol

William Franco

She's a cool girl, Kristin. I can see why her and Avery are so good with each other. Family is family, but they make family look great.

"Does anyone know the square root of four? Or are all of you asleep?" My teacher, Mr. Monoppoulous asked.

A Greek mathematician. He just joined our country a few years back and decided teaching was his new... hobby. He mentioned that he lived all over the world, was an adventurous guy, liked to have some fun, he had all the good stuff. He wasn't hard to look at, but was passing the age of forty. That's for sure. I kind of see him as an idol. I would want to travel.

Raising my own hand, he looked at me with a smile. "William,"

"It's two," I said.

"Exactly, now was that so hard class? Anyone could figure that out. Next time, I won't have William answering all the questions. Stop being chickens and let's get your brains working." He was the type to make us all smile when needed.

He faced the board and started to write down something in chalk. In his room, he requested a blackboard. He very old fashioned and likes it that way. And I don't blame him.

That's when my phone started to vibrate in my pocket, signalling a phone call. That was the last thing I needed. In class, I forgot about all my problems. I liked school for reasons un said. So, getting a call meant remembering that there was something wrong with me.

"Mr. M, could I step out for a moment?" I asked.

He faced me with yet, another wide grin.

"Of course William. Since William is a good student, he gets the benefits of one. If you all focus on your studies, you could be almost as good as me." and the whole class roared with laughter as I left. "Almost students, almost."

I shut the door behind me and walked a few feet away from the door, into the hallway. Being away from there was good, so no one would hear my conversation. I pulled out my phone and clicked on missed call, dialing up the number that last called me. I didn't even look. So, I waited as the dial tone went off.

"Hello?" I heard someone say.

"Hey, It's Will. You called?"

"Oh, right. William Franco. We got your results back from the MRI. They are improving significantly. And your Psych test was all good. Will, you're getting better. Do you feel better?" And I recognized the voice, Nurse Marcus.

"I guess so. I just forget about feeling weird. I focus on homework, school, and I forget I even exist and those problems are gone. I just believe school school school and I feel normal again."

"At least you found something to focus on. But you're going to have to face everything and become you again."

"Right,"

I started to shuffle my feet against the laminate floors, feeling my nervousness spike. My heart raced as I looked around the hall, as if searching for an escape.

"I'm not crazy, right?" this came out weak and pathetic.

"No, you aren't. This happens to everyone."

But, I feel like I'm the only one."

"Trust me Will, it'll be okay. You'll be okay."

"I can't believe that. I try..." I take a deep breath to prevent any crying. "I am trying. And every time I feel like I'm finally there, I'm not."

There was a pause of just him and I breathing through the phone. He was nervous as was I. Being a nurse and friend of mine, I really don't blame him. Jesus. I wish this never even happened.

"I know it feels like I'm repeating myself, or I'm just giving you hope. But I am being honest, you will get there and you will be okay."

"Just okay?"

"You will be William."

Spoiler
The thing with Oliver is two weeks ahead. Just thought I should say it. She just got the miscarriage a few days back. This is present. I'll pause the Oliver thing until we reach that time. I just wanted a kind of foreshadowing of what's coming up.

Kristin wants me to go out for coffee with her? I had just met her. I mean, I guess that's nice, great. Someone likes me. I'll go. It'll be fun. Jane, it'll be fun.

I took a deep breath and looked for the bathroom. It was like it'd only my first day of school. Missing two days really screws your mind of finding anything. Damn baby. Damn miscarriage. Messed up my sense of direction. I walked, hearing only my foot steps hitting the floors. Just passing down another corner, I hear someone talking.

"Okay... okay... thanks Marcus. I really needed this, I need you in my life for me to be able to jump out of whatever this is. And Doc. Can you tell him what we spoke about, so he'd know my progress?... thanks. I gotta go." Will said.

I stopped in my tracks, looking at Will. He was crying. He was shaking. He wasn't okay. I shouldn't be here. I'm not good in these types of situations.

"Right, see you Marc." and he hung up.

He hung his head and placed his hands on his face, breathing deeply. Since I was here and I was his fiend and he did help me multiple times, I guess it's time to return the favor. I took a few careful steps towards him, feeling my heart race. I was nervous to talk to him, it's a first time deal.

"Will," I said.

Looking up at me, I saw his red eyes and tear blotched face. My heart crashed for him. Oh my God.

"Will," and I said it with sadness.

"I'll be fine Jane, thanks anyway." his voice was weak.

"Come here,"

He looked up again, a little confused.

"Come here," I repeated.

Coming towards me, I pulled him into a tight hug. It was awkward at first, but then he fell into me and sobbed. I felt good for doing this for him.

Kristin

"But...why?" Avery asks confused. I shrug and smile.

"I don't know...I just have a good feeling about her. Something in her eyes I guess."Avery raises an eyebrow at me as I hold up a lacy pink and purple bra. "Nothing sexual Avey! Damn, just because I'm bisexual doesn't mean that I want to screw any and every living being." I say rolling my eyes. Suddenly as I look outside I see something that I most definitely do want to screw. A gorgeous redheaded girl, walking across the parking lot with some hot guy.

"See now that's my type." I say pointing at the girl. Avery looks up from the black and red lingerie she's studying and does a small gasp.

"Pretty hot, eh?" I say with a smirk looking back over at the girl. But when I turn back around to face Avery, her face is pinched as if she just drank a gallon of straight lemon juice. Without saying one word she rushes out of the boutique and to confront the couple. Me, being the great cousin I am, decide to buy the bra and thong sets that she said that she particularly liked, bought some lingerie for myself and then rushes out.
When I get outside her and the guy are in a whispered argument while the girl looks confused and bored. When I begin to inch over to Avery she shoots me a warning look so I just turn to the girl instead.

"Pretty awkward, huh?" I ask with a warm smile. She looks up at me from her phone with a smile of her own.

"Yeah...I notice that you have an accent but...well I hear a few in your speech. Would you mind telling me what they are?" My smile grows. Her voice is deep and warm. Like honey. But melodic at the same time.

"French, dutch, german. A variety of things. My parents moved around a lot as I grew up. Mainly for business." I say.

"Thats interesting. Whats the name of the business?" She asks seeming to be interested.

"Piest enterprises. My great grandfather founded it. Its now a fortune 500 company, ranking 56, but it seems to be moving steadily. At the moment its co-owned by my father and uncle. Her father." I say, pointing at Avery. And then I feel like stapling my lips together. Some of that was really confidential. I feel like an idiot. But its so easy to just talk to this girl. Her face is just hypnotising.

"So it'll probably be passed down to you two?" I shake my head.

"Avery has no interest in owning even a fraction of it. She plans to just pass her 50% down to her children. But shes more interest in becoming an actress and singer. Why do you want to know all of this anyways?" I ask, now raising an eyebrow at her. She shrugs her petite little shoulder and I watch as some of her curly red locks tumble down to her chest down to her hips. Her hair is really long. I guarantee if it was flat ironed it would hit her calves.

"I like you I guess." She says simply. I grin goofily. But then suddenly that caramel guy pops up in my head again. Those soulful brown eyes...the broad shoulders. And my stomach gets butterflies all over again. I look back down at the girl. This beautiful sexy girl. She looks up at me almost expectantly. I sigh.

"I am bisexual but...I would only like a friend right now." I say, my cheeks growing warm. She nods, her eyes understanding and she smiles. I smile back.

"It's fine. We can still be friend though...if you'd like." She says with a small smile. I nod quickly. "And don't worry. You're not hurting my feelings or anything. I'm polyamorous so I already have a boyfriend at home. And a casual fuck buddy." She says mysteriously with a wink. My eyes widen.

"Does he know about that?" I ask, pointing at the guy that Avery still seems to be overreacting. She shrugs.

"Does he need to know?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.

Before I can answer Avery finally yells "I'm not over reacting! But I am getting the hell out of here!" Avery says, grabs my arm, and drags me to the car. While Avery looks for her car keys in her purse, muttering under her breath, I put on my seat belt. Suddenly the girl is standing in front of my open passenger window with a smile.

"Here," she says offering me a card "call sometime. I like hearing you talk." Before I can reply (yet again) Avery is furiously (and dangerously) backing out of her parking space, and speeding out of the parking lot. I look at her worriedly.

"No, I don't wanna talk about it." She says through gritted teeth. I nod, lean over and kiss her cheek, and then connect my iphone to her cars bluetooth and turn on some soothing alternative rock music from pandora for her. When her face finally relaxes is when I tell her about the girl. I look down at her card. Ailynn Pentisone, Restaurant owner of...holy shit. She owns Eleven Madison Park. My favorite, top ten most prestigious restaurant in NYC.

Avery

I'm not upset really. Leo has every right to date any girl her wants. But just the thought of him with that girl...makes my blood boil. But...why?

Confused... know its been awhile, but waiting for my reaction would've been nice.

Emmett

"Emmett, I let him. I could've stopped him, but I didn't. And now I lost my baby. He... he came up to me in New York when I was visiting my mother. Took me for coffee. Slipped something into my mug. Woke up in a pickup, naked to the bone."

She wanted me to be mad at her. She was so use to anger, that she expected it. Every other guy in her life whipped her and bruised her, yelled at her until her heart divided into the separate pieces of her sanity.

"I prepared myself for a rough relationship, Jane." I downcast my eyes as I said this. "I had to try and love you, because nobody else would. I know this."

She looked out the hospital window, face unreadable. "How can you be so good?"

I can't tell her about the turmoil inside me, the twist of my heart as it goes through the trials of being her boyfriend. I committed to being the good thing in her life when we met, but she is not always the good thing in mine. And that hurts. It hurts that she's probably had sex more times than I can count on my fingers, and that I am a happy virgin.

"I'm not."

She laughs, bitterly. "This sucks, Em. This really, really sucks."

"You promise you'll be more careful?" I have to ask this.

She doesn't respond. "I can damn well try."

It has been weeks since the hospital, and Jane and I don't talk as much as we should. I'm worried about her keeping her promise, and I wonder constantly where she is, if she's safe. We haven't gone out since the hospital, and I miss her. I'm thinking I want to invite her over for a game of Zelda, something fun and nostalgic we can sit on my bed and cuddle over. Yeah, I'll do that, I decide, I have to do something...

Okay, what kind of guy am I?

Avery- cheerleader Avery, popular Avery- has a cousin, and she's pressed tightly against my arm, her chest squeezing up and over her tight shirt. I'm trying very hard to judge her in my head probably brainless, sexually active cheerleader, to prevent being attracted to her. That is most definitely where Jane and Zelda came from; trying to prevent myself from turning into an idiot.

"Thank you oh so much!" She sings. " Would you mind also helping me to catch up in a few of my classes...maybe tomorrow after school?"

I was about to open my mouth to say that my girlfriend and I have plans, but we don't. "I guess. I don't have any plans."

She smiles. "I have English 12, Advanced Chemistry, hmm..." she pulls out a schedule, and reads it quickly. "Creative Writing, Algebra Three, and Latin."

"Latin?" I am generally surprised. I didn't think anyone actually took that class.

"I like to learn every language I possibly can, mon Cherie."

"Hablas espanol?"

"Por supuesto, querido!" She makes a face. "Did I say that right? Not very good at Spanish yet."

We are at her English class, and I gesture to the door. "Perfect, actually. Impressive... Kristen, right?"

"Yeah. See you tomorrow. Don't forget!"

The first bell rings, and I curse; my AP Physics is on the other end of the school.

Run you silly boy, and remember.

I linger outside the place where Avery told me to wait for Kristen, thinking that I had been ditched, and wishing I was with Jane. Jane, despite her flaws, was always on time. Always.

I'm about to give up- it's been twenty minutes since school got out- when Kristen rounds a corner, and waves enthusiastically at the sight of me. I wave back at her. She's dressed more appropriately today, which is a relief; a flowery dress, short enough, but not too short.

"I was thinking we would head to the study room," I tell her, as greeting.

She makes a face. "I was thinking the Blue Streak Café. They're open late, and I could use a coffee."

I shrug. "Sure. Am I driving, or are you?"

"You."

She loops her arm through mine again, and we walk out. I take her to my little car, and she jumps into the passenger side. She balances between playing with the radio and sorting through her bag. We get to the café and take our seats, and I expect her to take out her books. She doesn't, swirling her coffee with her finger.

"Tell me about yourself, Emmett." She puts her elbows on the table and leans across it, towards me.

"I thought we were catching up."

"On each other. I want to get to know people first." She winks at me. "Where'd you get that yummy skin color?"

"My Dad's Hispanic. Mom's Native American." I shrug. "I don't know about being 'yummy', but its certainly unique."

"Yummier than a mocha with cinnamon." She laughs. "Smart?"

"Four-point."

Her eyes flicker with the light of the challenge. "Virgin?" She looks as though this were a casual question, as though I wouldn't be, of course not. I just blush, causing her an raise an eyebrow. "No?"

"We should get to work now." I shift, a bit uncomfortable.
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

Sorry about that Sunshine. We should have waited for you ;(

Jane Wills

My phone rang as I flipped through my Psychology book, studying. I had a test on Monday, so I had to get ready for it, even though I had no idea what I was reading. It's not easy to concentrate for me, especially if I keep getting the answers wrong after trying so many times. So, it's frustrating and I simply give up, answering my phone.

"Hello," I didn't even look at my screen, so whoever was on the other end would surprise me.

"Hey Jane," The voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

"What's up?"

"It's Avery," a pause. "Um, since Kristin wanted to hang with you, she made me call you. She doesn't have your number, you know. Here's Kristin." I heard the phone shift from one person to another with a pause of silence. I could hear muffled voices, but that's it.

"Jane?" it was Kristin.

"Yeah,"

I shut my book and leaned against my wall, looking at the opposing one, spotting the pictures of Emmett and I. I taped them up on the wall just so I could see him before I go to sleep and when I wake up.

"Wanna go for coffee now?"

It was the day after I had met her. So, I had a day to wonder why someone like her would ever want to associate with me. But, I came up with null.

"Sure,"

**

I sipped my Peppermint Mocha as we sat by the window, watching the leaves fall onto the sidewalk. We were in the city center of Harmony, in a Starbucks. Just watching the leaves fall and the wind blow peoples hair around made me smile for the anticipation of winter. I loved snow, and the bite of the cold air. It was something so exciting.

Kristin sat across from me, her cheeks rosy and her eyes filled with happiness. She looked like one of those pretty cheerleaders that would never speak to me, it's like we would not have anything in common and she would use me for something strange.

She had her hands wrapped around a tall cup of coffee. We were still in our coats and gloves, I was just slipping out of my coat. She had those cool pink gloves that had a flap that could either cover her fingers or not. I had forgotten mine, but was happy to be in a warm place to not have to worry about it. She looked like a cute lady, really. She slipped out of her coat and we got comfortable.

"So, why don't you tell me about yourself? Oh God, that sounded like a job interview." I said, laughing.

She started to laugh and looked out the window. But when she looked out, she suddenly stopped laughing and just stared at something, or someone. I followed her gaze and saw a handsome brown haired guy. He was tall, stylish, and own right wow. i couldn't stop staring. She looked back at me and smiled.

"Don't worry about it Jane." she smiled. "It might be awkward for you. I think you're pretty cool. I get really great vibes from you."

"Great vibes? I'm everything but great vibes. So maybe you're wrong." I smiled back.

Her blue eyes showed a big of disbelief as she sipped her coffee. I took a gulp of mine, feeling the warm mocha slip through my mouth. Yummy Peppermint Chirstmasy-taste.

"I've been through a lot, and I am really hard to be with." I actually felt myself get sad.

"Hey, I think you're good. So, let me get to know you Jane! Don't be sad. How about we go ice skating?"

I nodded as Kristin held my hand on top of the table to show me she cared. A friendly gesture. That's what got me to like her. That she let herself fall into the relationship between people, put her full trust forward and hid nothing. A dangerous thing to do, but somehow it worked for her.

She went back to sipping her coffee and so did I. My phone lit up on top of the table and I looked at it. A picture of Emmett and I flashed, showing my background picture. A text message from Lena was on.Looking up at Kristin, I saw she was staring at my phone. Something passed her face, and I didn't want to say what it was. Cause it sort of scared me.

"Is, is that your boyfriend?" she asked, her voice confident and normal.

I looked at the picture, seeing that was Emmett and I, looking at each other, smiling. Our faces were touching, but we weren't kissing.

"Yeah," I smiled, picking up my phone.

"Wow, you guys look great together."

There was something wrong. But, she smiled and looked fine. And we actually went ice skating after that.

I took a deep breath and glanced at the walls all around me. The cream color wasn't as relaxing as I hoped they'd be. And the posters taped onto them aren't any better. I wanted to see the ocean. I wanted to be in California again. But who knows if I ever really was there? That California wasn't even real.

Shaking my head, I shut my eyes. Then, I started to read each poster I had. A few were of my favorite bands. AWOLNATION, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Rolling Stones, U2. Others were of movies I watched, video games I've played. And then there was a section of pictures right on my ceiling. Laying down on my bed, I looked at each one. Most of them included Chris and I. Avery. Lena. Even Jane was in there somewhere. I stared at hers for a while longer. I don't know, she seemed to look like a greater person now.

My phone rang and I answered it, not moving my gaze from Jane's picture. She was wearing a deep purple dress that was a high-low type skater, she described it. Her hair was in a braid. This was at my 'return' party. When I got out of the coma and back home.

"Hello?" I said into my phone.

"Hey Will," It was Chris.

"What's going on?"

"That's what I was going to ask you."

I sat up and leaned against the wall behind me. The cool from the wall sung into my skin as I gripped the phone tighter.

"What do you mean?"

A pause, "Are you now all over Jane or something?" Chris's voice changed to something I got scared of.

"No, why?"

"Someone saw you two hugging... and I guess they got the wrong idea."

"Obviously. Chris, she was just being a friend. And plus, she has Emmett. They are probably going to get married. I have nothing to them and you know that."

I heard him stifle a laugh and I knew it was okay now.

"Alright cowboy, wanna come chill at my place?"

He's adorable!!!

I text Avery quickly as Emmett pulls out his books. Her response is instantaneous.

I told you that he has a gf Kris. Don't put too much into this crush, kay?

Well who is she? I text, a frown settling on my face

I'm not sure...but knowing you like him i've asked around. I know that he has a girlfriend. I'll try to find out who tho..he keeps his info on the DL

Thanks boo boo I text back with a smile.

"So..." He begins, opening up his advanced chemistry text book. I stare at him, thinking back to what Avery said. I do seem to put everything out there when theres a guy I like. Not the best thing to do. If I want him to like me...well he has to like me for me. And I have to find out if he really has a girlfriend. So far he hasn't mentioned anyone but...eh you never know.

Few Hours Of Talking And Such Later

"Um Kristin...i'm not sure about this..." Jane says nervously. I look back at her and notice that she hasn't even taken two steps in her skates yet. I raise an eyebrow as she shakily takes two steps to me.

"Have you ever ice skate before Jane?" I ask, feeling stupid for never having asked before. She shakes her head with a small smile. I throw up my hands and sigh.

"Then why did you say yes dude?" I ask, exasperatedly "We could've done something that more fit your interest."

"Well i've always wanted to learn." She says with a shrug. I smile at her. She's adorable.

"Here, i'll teach you." I say and quickly grab her hand. I can feel her shakily trying to match my speed.

"Oh god..." She says once we actually get onto the ice.

"Don't worry Jane. It's actually pretty easy. It's kinda almost like rolling skating. Just one foot slides in front of the other, and keep your balance by slightly leaning forward. Now lets go." I tug on her, and she looks back at the handle on the wall that she was tightly holding onto with a sad expression. At first she's a bit clumsy, and falls down bringing me with her (which we both cracked up at, as people kept swerving to avoid us) but soon she caught the hang of it, and before I knew it we were talking about some of our favorite novels.

"Oh hey...I know that girl." She said, tipping her chin to point at a beautiful girl, nodding to some music she was listening to on her ipod, and skating as gracefully as I used to when I used to regularly ice skate in competitions. I was pretty good. But this girl had great form, her back was arched perfectly, and she skated smoothly as if walking on air. Her black hair drifted behind her, almost looking as if it was floating.

"She goes to our school?" I ask, now curious as to who this beautiful girl is. Jane nods.

"Well lets go say hi." I tug our joined hands towards the girl, and we quickly skate over there. When we're close enough I tap on her shoulder. She takes her earbuds out of her ears and turns to Jane and I.

"Hey, sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to introduce myself. Because we go to the same school." I say with a smile. "I'm Kristin. Um, i'm not sure if you know her but i'm also Avery's cousin." She smiles at me.

"I'm Luna. Nice to meet you. And don't worry everyone knows your cousin." She says, jokingly rolling her eyes. I raise an eyebrow.

"Does she have some type of reputation?" I ask questioningly.

"Oh no," She says with a shake of her head, but then stops and tilts her head "Well not a bad reputation. Her rep mainly just comes from her parties. She throws a bunch and invites everyone. They get pretty crazy some times. But really she just a pretty sweet girl." My head started wondering at crazy parties. Huh. I wanna throw a party. A crazy one too.

"Hey, Luna, would you happen to know a lot of people?" I ask, an idea brewing in my head.

"Eh, I know my fair share, I guess." She says with a shrug. I turn to Jane and she shrugs herself.

"Same here. I know a few people. I'm not close to many though." I nod my head, and continue to think. Jane gives me a weird look.

"You wanna throw a party, don't you." I smile brightly and nod. "Would you two like to come." They both look at each other for a second and shrug.

"Sure." Jane says nodding.

"Sounds pretty cool." Luna says nodding.

"Cool...so um Jane. Will you be bringing your boyfriend?" I ask, making sure not to make any expression and keeping my smile on.

"Maybe. Sometimes parties aren't really his...well thing." I nod. Okay. If theres any time to tell her the truth, its now. I like this girl. I wanna become great friends with her. I can tell that shes been through a bit, like myself, but hides it. She's beautiful, funny, and we enjoy a lot of the same things. I slump my shoulders.

"Your boyfriend is a great guy." I say, my smile falling just the tiniest of a bit "He tutored me yesterday. I hope that I can become great friends with the both of you." Jane smiles.

"Yeah he is. And so do I." I nod my smile still in place, but my insides feeling empty.

Avery

I sigh, leaning back into my computer chair. I hope that things turn out well for Kristin. She puts so much into her friendships and even more into her crushes. I worry for her sometimes.

Suddenly my phone vibrates and I look down at my phone seeing that i've received a text message from an unknown number. I open it to see that its a picture message. Of Will. Hugging Jane tightly. Huh. So first she takes Allen...and now Will. Okay then.

Sorry for not asking before I posted @Sunshine ...didn't mean to make anyone mad :/

Kristin is such a great girl. I'm just afraid of getting hurt in the end. Like always. But Lena's been great to me. So maybe Kristin will be even better. She's already met Emmett, so introducing the boyfriend is off the list. And a party? Great idea to get her face around the school. Might be bad for me though, considering my past. But I'll survive, for Kristin.

We were skating for around an hour and a half, well, I was falling, she was skating. But I managed somehow. My legs got tired, so we decided to go to her place, which was Avery's place. It made me nervous, considering the last time I was there, I got drunk.

"I'll grab something to drink," Kristin said. "... popcorn?" she added.

It was the end of the day, which signaled for the both of us a traditional movie night. This took place in her room, the guest room. For a guest room, it was pretty chic. Maybe because they had the money to get it like this. But it was comfy so I didn't mind. I was sitting on her full sized bed as the TV in front of us was playing the movie trailers before the movie.

"Can I have tea though?" I asked. She replied with a short nod. "And of course, yes to the popcorn." I smiled.

Bonding. This was what it was called. I guess. Or, I believe so. Once she left the room, I got comfortable on the bed and pulled my phone out. The sound of the trailers bothered me a bit, but I dealt with it by focusing on texting a few people. First was Lena, just to see how she was doing. Next was Will. I hesitated before clicking his name. For some reason, looking at his name in my contacts list made me nervous. I shook my head and texted him anyway. Lastly, I checked up on Emmett. He was supposed to be out with some friends tonight, so I hope he was enjoying himself.

Just after that, Kristin came bouncing in with the yum. Tea, popcorn, candy and chips. My type of movie night.

"Let's get fat tonight!" I laughed, standing up to help her with the stuff.

A bouquet of roses. A smile. A nice tux. This should make Avery head of heels happy. I rang her doorbell. After a few minutes of standing out in the snow, I realized, no one was coming to answer it. I tried again, with a shaky finger. Nothing. I looked at my watch and saw that seven minutes have elapsed.

It was eight at night, where could she be? We did make plans tonight. Well, I told her to be ready for an elegant night out at eight PM. It's eight PM and I'm standing at her door, shaking from the cold. I tried once more and heard some footsteps form the stairs.

I got prepared. Smiled, held the roses upright. Straightened myself out. Oh Avery is going to love--

The door opened and to my surprise, I saw Jane. Her jaw dropped right when she saw me. It was sort of cute. But seeing her also made me feel extremely uneasy, considering the fact I balled on her shoulder just a few days ago.

"Hey Jane," I smiled.

"Avery, right." she said, all random about it. "I'm, I'm sorry." and she was back. "I was just really confused why you'd bring me flowers, but then I realized, hey, I'm at Ave's. She's your girlfriend. Those are her flowers. I don't like roses anyway." A smile formed on her face as her cheeks got red.

Again. Cute. I smiled in return.

"I'll keep that in mind." I said. "So, where is Avery?"

"I wouldn't know. I'm with Kristin."

"Right, um, could you check or something?"

She opened her mouth for a second then shut it with a smile, nodding her head. I don;t know why, but she made me really jittery as well. I pulled myself together by taking a deep breath and watching her walk back into the house, looking for Ave. I followed her inside and shut the door, feeling the heat sink into my skin.

Her house was more cozy today, due to all the candles around the place, and warm colors. I remember, her family decorates for not only every holiday, but every season. So now the house has red's, orange's, dark green's. It makes it homey, cozy, and happy. Christmas feelings I love.

"Aye, Jane!" Kristin yelled from the top floor.

"What?!" Jane yelled back from... I wouldn't know where. She disappeared on me.

"Who came by?"

"Me," I yelled back.

"Will?!"

And I heard some footsteps from above me. Kristin stood at the stair railings and smiled down at me. She was in her sweats. Short pink pants, leopard print T-shirt and her hair up in a bun. That made her look very American. In a good way.

I waved up at her with a smile, and she replied with the same.

"Will, what are you doing here?"

To her response, Jane came back into the picture, from the kitchen, with a shaking head.

"No where in the house. Sorry. Well..." she looked down at the floor shyly. "I wasn't looking obviously. I just called her. She said she's out with a few friends."

She looked back up at me, but couldn't stand to look at my eyes. Very weird.

"Weird, she said that she'd be available. We made plans."

"Oh Will," Kristin said from upstairs. "Babe, I feel so bad. Come up and watch the movie with us."

"Yeah," Jane agreed. "It'll be fun!" her smile seemed really convincing.

"Guys, thanks. But I'm good. I gotta catch up on some homework anyway." I gave them a reassuring look.

Kristin started to walk down the stairs, her steps so light, you couldn't hear them. Once she reached us, she wrapped her arms around my neck. Her hug was warm and really comfortable, that I couldn't help but wrap my arms around her. The roses were sort of in the way, Jane noticed, so she took them out of my hand.

"Okay Will, but we are here." she said, pulling away.

"Thanks, you are a really good person Kristin." I smiled.

She was. She really was. And she liked hugs, She liked being close to people. That made her European. The connections with people she had, she kept, and she made them immense .Se made close connections very quickly, and not too quickly. Even Jane was already becoming her BFF. Believe it or not.

"You are too. Now go head off then." she smiled.

"Put those roses in water before they wilt." I said.

"Sure will." she already was starting to laugh. It wasn't awkward anymore, which was good. And she knew the jokes I could pull under pressure.

It was like I forgot all about Jane, which wasn't completely true. She was always there, at the corner of my eye. I knew what she was doing. It's scary because, every since that day, I can't stop thinking about that day. That day had a specific meaning to my life, our lives, more to me... but, it changed our views on each other, and I see Jane in a whole new, better perspective.

She's not the drunk who slept with Avery's boyfriend. Though, at the time, she had no idea who anyone was, being a new student and all. So that was not entirely her fault. She wanted to have sex, he wanted to have sex, they had sex. No relations. And Avery, I'm sure, still blames it on her. I don't see Jane as the crazy one, the one with the rough edges and hurtful past. Not the girl was was abused. I somehow see Jane.

And that was a good thing. A very good thing. I helped her, all the time. With Lena, of course. But somehow, I always knew she was good. And deserved the help. Cause she would return it. And she would show why she really deserved that. That's why I'm happy to say, she's my friend.

I looked at Jane, and caught her already looking at me. I gave her a soft smile to show her it was okay. She smiled back, looking down at the ground, all cute embarrassed.

"I'll see you guys later then. I'll call Avery. Thanks." I said to them as I headed back out the door.

"Okay Willy! If she doesn't answer you, let us know." Kristin replied from behind me.

I turned back and saw Jane standing right behind Kristin as they watched me leave. I stepped into the cold again, just bracing it until I reached my Ford pick-up. The snow was piling on, blowing passed my eyes, making me blind. I shut them for a few seconds and then opened them, watching where I was going.

"Hey," I heard someone call from behind me.

Turning on my heel, I saw Jane standing at the porch light, smiling at me.

"You're okay?"

A moment of silence passed through us as I thought of an appropriate reply.

"Jane, I'm okay."

She smiled, then walked back inside.

~Luna~

I took a deep breath as I skated across the Ice, moving swiftly, my blades sliding against it, the feel of floating as if on air was refreshing in so many ways. It had been so long since I'd been here i'd forgotten how much I enjoyed doing this. And the fact that no one else was here made it all the better. Pulling my Ipod out and strapping it to my arm I put on "Heavy Prey" by Flyleaf, moving to the beat of the music and letting it sweep me away. I had it one shuffle, and skated along to what ever song came on after the other. Just as one of my songs finish, someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn to see Jane and another girl I've never seen before standing beside her.

"Hey, sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to introduce myself because we go to the same school." she say with a smile. "I'm Kristin. Um, i'm not sure if you know her but i'm also Avery's cousin."

I smile at her. "I'm Luna. Nice to meet you. And don't worry everyone knows your cousin."

"Does she have some type of reputation?" Kristin questions.

"Oh no," I shake my head. "Well not a bad reputation. Her rep mainly just comes from her parties. She throws a bunch and invites everyone. They get pretty crazy some times. But really, she just a cool girl."

"Hey, Luna, would you happen to know a lot of people?" Kristin asks.

"Eh, I know my fair share, I guess." I answer with a shrug.

"Same here. I know a few people. I'm not close to many though." she nods, Jane giving her a weird look.

"You wanna throw a party, don't you." Kristin smiles brightly and nod.s "Would you two like to come."

Jane and I look at each other for a pause, then shrug. Why not? It's not like I have anything better to do.

"Sure." Jane says nodding.

"Sounds pretty cool." I nod likewise, my hips moving from side to side, my feet following in a half circle as if unable to still for a moment.

"Cool...so um Jane. Will you be bringing your boyfriend?" Kristin asks.

My legs halt for a second, then continue their business as I watch her. Jane may not have caught that, but I sure did. Hm.

"Maybe. Sometimes parties aren't really his...well thing." Jane gives and iffy shrug.

Kristin nods, her shoulder slumping. I can feel the disappointment coming off of her in waves, though I doubt even she realizes it.

"Your boyfriend is a great guy." she says, her smile falling just the tiniest of a bit "He tutored me yesterday. I hope that I can become great friends with the both of you."

I watch her expression the entire time, analyzing everything about her. I would have to watch her. Something about her made me curious.

"Yeah he is. And so do I." Jane smiles.

She nods, her smile still in place, but never reaching her eyes. My gaze never left her, too many scenarios playing out in my head as I watched, wondering what would unfold later in the future. She made me curious indeed. I certainly would. She seemed like a sweet person, but she was holding something back that she knew she shouldn't have. This was going to be interesting.
