Alayna Morgan:
I sat in the window, looking down at the street below. I glared at the hustle in the street below, wishing they were all gone. Thud. I quickly whipped around, fumbling to grab my knife. When I had it firmly in my grasp, I proceded to the sound of the noise. I walked into the next room to see a man laying on my floor, next to the fireplace. I didn't know why he was lying down, but he was still in my house uninvited. "Don't you move." I said. The man slowly stood up, then whipped around, smiling. I gripped the knife a little tighter and pointed it at him. "Who are you?" I said, trying not to raise my voice.
"Alayna," he said, hiding his mouth. "Alayna Morgan. Oh holy God in-"
"Who are you?" I asked again. I was losing my patience with this man.
"My name is Dorian," he said, bowing. "And you... You look exactly how I imagined you."
"What in the hell do you mean??" I took another step closer, but he just smiled more. "What is so funny?" I glared at him, taking another step forward. He didn't move.
"My name is Dorian," he said. He paused, smiling again. "And I made you." What was that supposed to mean? I loosened my grip on the knife a bit, but still had it pointed to him.
"You made me?" I looked straight into his eyes. "Prove it."
"Well. Your name is Alayna Morgan, but you already know that. When you were 15, two men broke into your house. You went out that window," he pointed to the correct window, "and waited outside, and that's the only way you survived. You've never told anyone." My eyes widened, and I knew he was telling the truth.
"You. You made me." I loosened the grip on my knife, but then it hit me. "If you made me, then, that means you killed my parents. You made me live in poverty. My life is your fault!" I tightened the grip on my knife and attempted to slash it at him. He merely sidestepped.
"Wait, I can explain—" I slashed again, and he dodged again. "I didn't think you were real—" he just kept dodging, he seemed to be having a good time.
"Well I am real," I said. I quickly put the knife in its sheath, and he seemed to let his guard down. I swung my fist, and it clipped him in the side of the jaw. He looked dazed, and I pulled the knife out again and put it to his throat. "Now. If you do not get out of my house in the next 30 seconds, you'll be on the floor in a puddle of your own blood. I shoved him in the direction of the door. He looked shocked. He regained his composure.
"Don't worry, this won't be the last you'll seen of me. I did create you." He smiled, and walked out the door. I locked all three locks after he left, then returned to my spot by the window, attempting to take in all that just happened.
