From Inertia in "Procrastination":

An idea I've had for a while might work. I haven't tried it, but what you do is give all your money to someone you trust, and tell them to give an amount of it back each time you finish a chapter. It's sort of like getting paid for writing, in that it motivates you, but you don't have to convince someone to use their own money.

Just a suggestion.

Sounds like an interesting idea; should've thought of it back in college.

only problem is, i don't think many people trust their money in someone elses hands. I know I don't

Hehe, I would take your money...

Muahahaha. Or you could do what I do: no time on YWS until I get something written. And because I'm hopelessly addicted to this place, I tend to get a good bit written. ^_~
