STOP RUSHING OVER!

What, do I have to give my first-born male child to you people along with the promise that you'll get a PM? ^_~

Haha - don't go insane, Gyr, even if you are our crazy bird. Just be patient with me, if you can.

Crazy bird shall do best to be patient, love.

Thanks... even so, I hope I'm not driving you too insane with all of this. ~_~ It would be so much easier if I was just to will you all of my characters and scraps and have you make sense of it. I think at this point you would do it more justice.

Ooh, these chapters are so long, it makes it difficult to crit. But it seems to be good, so far. :)

DD wrote:A glance up the street towards his destination and he leaned forward a bit to glance up a the stinging misty curtain that wasn’t allowing him to see either.

Either? Either what?

DD wrote:He ran a and down his dripping face..

And = hand?

DD wrote:The clock on the mantel piece in the City Director’s office had a miniature pednulum

Pednulum = pendulum, I think.

DD wrote:after a moment’s consideration he flung in down and away from him to that it draped gracefully down over the edge of the cushioned chair.

In = it

To = so

There's too many typos like the above in here, which take away from the story. And you don't want that to happen, cos this is a VERY good story. Took me a while to get into it, but once I had, I found it great! :)

Thanks very much, Shadow.

Ah... yes, there is a good amount of typos in this draft. Just another reason to get the new one churned out quicker, eh? They are observed, but thank you for pointing them out anyway - I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to be tolerant of them at the moment until I can get a better-revised draft up. o0

In any event, thanks again for the comments and the crit. ^_^

I read most of it and liked what I read so far. I got to the end of chapter two and promise I will read that when i find time. Keep writing. I can't wait to read more.

Glad you've enjoyed it thus far, Kay Kay. ^_^

Ahem. An update. Last night was my first (and quite certainly, last) all-night writing spree. In which the Chair was brought back to life with some sketches and well-placed kicks aimed at getting the Kasimovs' collective attention. So I may some new material to post... meaning, then, that the promised PM may not be too terribly long in coming. We'll see if I can't work up some extra Chair magic for you guys. ^_^

More Chair in the making? Yesss! I've been needing another Shan fix for awhile.

The changes you made in the first chapter are good, although I still think that 'pednulum' should be 'pendulum' and you should swap 'biblical' in the cigarette scene with 'epic.'
What's biblical about the amount of discarded cigarettes anyway? As large as the flood or the exodus? I don't think so.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to finding out more about Shan and his world.

Keep up the good work!

So, with the realization of a scanner, I scanned this! Note, I didn't scan the pages I didn't write on (What is the point of that :-P) and I was writing this in a car soooo more than normally bad hand writing. If you can't understand anything I wrote, just ask. ^_~

Shireling: Thanks very much for the comments, and I'll be fixing the typos on the redraft, never fear. ^_~

Till: Dankeshon, mein Morgenstern! Yes, it is a bit confusing, tangled up - one of the auditorium scene rough drafts. I'm working on clarifying everything for the next one, and I'll be sure to keep your comments in mind. This draft alternately depressed me and gives me the creeps. I don't like to look at it, haha. Too scary to face. Hopefully number three's the charm. ^_^'

[Livny is a Kasimov, by the way - Illltev is the only maritime officer in the audience.]

More to follow. Shortly, with any luck.
