Poem Spot - [ on the spot ]

Sometimes words cannot translate
the complexity of the soul.
Sometimes a divested heart is all that's left
but it just isn't enough.

If love is kind and beautiful,
why am I empty-handed?
And if love is inconsiderately cruel,
how come it write my poems? .... lol

I made worlds to suit
the cards I'd been dealt
as though a bad hand
could be reversed
if I tilted my head so.

The clank of your metal
striding into my arms
reminds me of the boiler,
Kamaji stealing snores
inside the heat and steam.

All the bad hands strike
the metal of my time
and come clattering
down (and down)
where they belong.

Work and Play

Stall me no longer you wretched fiend!
There is something I must do
And do it hastily I must!
Desist this nonsense of detaining me.

Alas my friend surely there is nothing that is so important
that you must insult me so! I am only detaining you to make sure that you enjoy your life.
My intentions are pure and you know well that you must abide by my laws with such.
You've had such a bad track record with these things that you gave me permission
To detain you.
As long as I am a friend of yours,
I shall make sure you enjoy the life you have.

Then be my friend no more
for thou art myne boon!
Give me not this silly talk and let me go.

Ah but if only you had that power still,
You gave it to me as well when I was appointed to this place.
Sit back and weave my dear, for I shan't let you leave until it is well done.
That project has progressed no more than an inch in the last week
and I am sick of your procrastination.
So sit and do or I shall surely burn that book of yours.

Hath thy no dignity?
To waist money as
such would be pointless
I came for sustenance,
not entertainment.

And your good humor shall have it's sustenance
then after I am satisfied,
I shall feed you
and set you
on your way.

i write you like how I would write
my big toe (not write with my big toe,
that's blasphemous)

i have to bend to reach you now,
when it was easier done long before--
but i guess i'm just afraid of the limp
of letting go

(audy what this is i don't even)

you made me do this -
this blasphemous thing
that defies what little reason
has left to me

and the words that hide
between lines in notebooks
too scribbled over to read anymore

have faded. black to blue
and blue to grey
to oil marks from the fingers that turned
each page for years
until the words were emblazoned on eyelids
that could only sometimes see.

the flames ate each page
more quickly than the eyes could.

The mistakes we make
today are reflected in
tomorrow's shadows.

The consequences
of tomorrow are stained in
history's pages.

The memories of
yesterday still whisper in
the dreams I cling to.

They told me to write -
some kind of poem, that is.
So I guess I must.

You were on my bookcase once,
tall and proud. I fitted you in
between history and poetry
and miscellany. I bent your pages
and I broke your spine.
You were mine.

You have a new home under my bed.
I reach for you in the deepest,
loneliest moments in the night,
but you have only
empty prose to fill my holes.

I like honey
It is so sweet
Isn't that funny

I once was called "Cunny"
But they thought I was meat
I like honey

Cunny was a bunny
That'd be neat
Isn't that funny

Although not as sweet as money
That I can use to buy some sweets
I like honey

I am a poor sonny
No shoes on my feet
Isn't that funny

My nose is also runny
and I can't imagine why, but
I like honey
Isn't that funny

instead of trimming, i grew it long
and like my friends all dreamed of, it grew into the grass,
twirling around the blades
and slipping in the small spaces between the shafts and the dirt
until it could really say it was underground.
which means that when the world ended (like all my fiends dreamed of)
i was left hanging with my hair stamped down into the earth,
watching as pieces of mountains floated beneath my feet
and down down into space. and i saw the oceans pour out
leaving me thirsty.

Hello Kitty's a brute,
bunnies are cute,
this poem reeks,
and so do you! ^_^

Where there lies peanut,
spread with care,
upon the knife,
It lingers there,
It's sweet scent flows
through misty air,
the bread, once boring,
white and bare,
Now does have,
some Peanut butter on it.

The jelly sweet,
it's fruity taste,
for not a drop
shall go to waste,
I scrape the jar
the sound it makes!
An erie screach,
my jaw does shake,
and now the bread
also has some Jelly on it.

(wow, that actually came out pretty good xD)

Crap, I though. I had come back
To early, you see, for nobody has replied yet.
Where have gone my poetic friends?
and then I remembered.
It's only been a few hours.

I SAID CALM DOWN!!!!

I watch the quake of waves
slither out and back
I should like to know
how many colours the sea
makes as the sun sets.
How the sand sticks between
heel and toe,
cool white arch of grit.
I should like to live by the sea
in a highrise cottage
or shack in situ.
