Dad studies him a moment before nodding, "That would be better."

Niki

She nods and looks at Austin, "This is just a practice match. Not real. Okay?"

Elijah

Austin looks around for a moment before focusing on her and nodding, not looking away again.

Bethany

I nod and let go of his hands, backing up slowly and taking a deep breath before charging.

Austin

I focus on her and sidestep like I'd seen before, taking her in my arms and bringing my lips to her neck to stop her.

Bethany

I close my eyes and smile, kissing his cheek and looking over at my dad, "I'm dead right?"

Austin

Her father nods and smiles, "Yes. Good job, Austin."

I avoid his gaze and pull away from Bethany's neck, keeping close and looking at her.

Bethany

I kiss him neck and glance up at him, whispering he did a good job like my dad. My mom looks at Jace, "Next?"

Austin

I smile lightly and keep my arms around Bethany, kissing her cheek in return. Her father nods at River's mate and looks at his wife to do the honors this time.

Sol

I hesitate, letting go of River's hand and walking to the front. His mom runs for me and I side' step, bringing her in an arm lock before she flips me. I stand quickly and she pins me against a tree, me kneeing her in the stomach. She throws a punch and I catch her fist, bringing it behind her and pretending to snap her neck, "Dead."

River

I smile at Sol, as does her father. He nods and points to me. I walk to Sol and kiss her forehead before taking another few steps back and letting things happen.

Sol

I look at his dad, "Against me?"

River

He nods and crosses his arms, "It'll work best that way. If they pass Rayah in one go, they're good enough to do the teaching as well."

Sol

I nod and take a deep breath, waiting for River to make a move."

River

I hesitate before making the first move, wishing she would have.
