When I get out there, I can't help but cringe at the similarities to what those stupid training sessions in Twilight looked like. How do I even know that? I stand beside River and keep Niki on my other side, looking at everyone and noticing Jag probably won't be joining us.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
Dad sighs and looks over us before beginning, "Due to what happened earlier, your mother and I have decided to hold sessions of defense in order to better protect ourselves in all forms if something like that is to occur again. First, we'll be focusing on our vampires. Niki, just stay human and do what you can. Rayah, help me demonstrate."

I squeeze Niki's hand and watch Dad smirk back at Mom.
"First thing is first," he starts. "The weaknesses to vampires and werewolves apply to you, with the exception of the bites. Still, you want to avoid any fatal contact. They'll go for the neck, more than likely. Get them first."

I take a deep breath, leaning against him, and Rayah looks at us, "Bites will hurt. A lot, by full werewolves, but it won't kill you. For example," She looks at me, "C'mere, Niki."
I swallow slowly walking forward as she holds her hand out, "Bite me."
I hesitate before doing so, my kanines sinking into her wrist, and she jerks back, swearing and shaking it out, "See? Nothing will happen. Beside major pain..but that'll fade in like...five minutes." She shoos me away and I back away back to Elijah.
"Just wanted to get that out there so you guys won't be scared for your lives," She looks at Jace, "You can continue now."
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
