Pelias is going to be very anti-social and playing with the water in the beginning! He has never been on a real ship before and it will be a chance to play with his powers out at sea, instead of in a pail of water or at the harbour.

If anyone asks he is training and they all should too if they know what's good for them.

And Rydia, so will Melody. Almost everyone will be playing with their powers, or atleast making accqaintances, so that we'll have good, exiting posts when we get into it.
