Nic

I wake but don't open my eyes, stretching and holding Jackie close.

Jackie

I wake to Nic moving, yawning and blinking my eyes open.

Nic

I open my eyes and look at Jackie, yawning and flashing a smile.

Jackie

I smile back at him and yawn, "Hi."

Nic

I kiss her forehead and sigh, closing my eyes again, "Hey."

Jackie

I cuddle into his chest and sigh.

Nic

I smile and kiss the top of her head, "I love you."

Jackie

"I love you too," I smile, "So much."

Nic

I smile wider at that and play with her hair, "Hey... later... or maybe tomorrow, can we stop by Jace and Rayah's? I haven't spoken with Ja since I left and I wouldn't mind seeing the twins again."

Jackie

I smile, "Alright."

Nic

I nuzzle my face with hers, "Awesome. And... you wanted to get married before we had a kid, right? Or was it the other way around?"

Jackie

I nod, "I wanted to get married first."

Nic

I nod and reach behind me to the floor, pulling something out of my jacket.

Jackie

I cuddle into his chest again and yawn again, closing my eyes.

Nic

I take it out of the box and just hold the band in my fist, looking at it behind her head. Does she really need me to even ask?
