Jackie

I smile and take a deep breath, stiring the soup.

Nic

I kiss her neck before looking at her, "W-what's new? How are things? I-I want to know everything."

Jackie

I smile and think, "I just graduated college...Lo and Rye are four now, and I don't know, really. Nothing new."

Nic

I smile and nuzzle her ear, "No new boyfriends of yours? You didn't start that family without me, did you?"

Jackie

I shake my head and chuckle at him nuzzling my ear, "Of course not."

Nic

I smile and kiss her cheek, "Good, 'cause after my soup... I think we ought to get started on that. No more wasting time."

Jackie

I smile at him and nod slowly, pouring the soup into a bowl, "Alright."

Nic

I nod back and set my chin on her shoulder again, sighing.

Jackie

I finish preparing it and turn around, holding it out to him, "Here. Take your time. Don't rush just because 'you want to get that family started'," I smile.

Nic

I playfully stick my tongue out at her before sitting at the table and beginning to eat my soup.

Jackie

I flick him in the back of the neck when I pass him and walk upstairs, humming as I skip into my bedroom.

Nic

I smile and watch her before hurrying to finish, not wanting to be left alone.

Jackie

I change into shorts and a tank top and brush my teeth before taking off jewelry, sighing.

Nic

I put my bowl in the sink and take my shoes off by the door before heading upstairs, not wanting to dirty the floors. Remembering where Jackie's bedroom is, I slip in and jump on the bed with a smile.

Jackie

He jumps on the bed and I chuckle at him, brushing my hair before laying beside him.
