"Wow," I say, not sure what else to think, "So... the whole mean girl thing is just a wall she built then? She's just an emotionally disturbed girl who wants love again..."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I find Jace on the couch with the twins again. Flashing a smile, I sit next to him and sigh.
"Your girlfriend isn't here?" I ask.
"No... why?" he sends me a questioning look.
"'Cause Jackie went to find her and said she'd meet me back here once she found her," I sigh.
I remember the earlier conversation and gasp, looking at him.
"Oh! I need you to leave the house for a few hours tonight. I need to be alone with Jacks," I say, "She wants a romantic dinner and I need you to keep your girlfriend and yourself away from us for a while."
He studies me before shaking his head and looking down at the kids.
"Whatever," he mutters, "Just don't go in my room."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
Jace looks up and then down at the kids before standing and disappearing. I stay where I am, knowing that he'd left the responsibility of the twins with me.
"Since when does she smoke?" I ask Jackie.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
