Jackie

I nod and look down, "And I'm heading to college the day after."

Nic

I tighten my grip on her with that, "What are you going to study there?"

Jackie

I bite my lip, "I want to be a guardian for a god, so warfare and stuff like that. It pays well."

Nic

I nod and look at her, "That'd be cool. How much free time do you think you'll have?"

Jackie


I think, "After school. I get to have free-time off campus at 8:00 every night."

Nic

I nod and play with her hair, thinking distantly, "So we can have that dinner then... and a few more after that."

Jackie

I bite my lip, "Depends on how much homework I have..."

Nic

I frown and sigh, "Ugh."

Jackie

I nod and wrap my arms around his torso, depressed, "Sorry."

Nic

I wrap my arms back around her and kiss the top of her head, "Just... make time for me. I kind of a little more than like you and don't want to lose anymore people."

Jackie

I chuckle at him and nod, "Of course."

Nic

I kiss the top of her head and sigh, "I....I think I might stick around for a little after high school. Just get a job somewhere until I figure out what I want to do with my life."

Jackie

I nod, "Okay. Well...I'll miss you if you leave."

Nic

I flash a smile, "I'll miss you too. But I have to do what I have to do. I'll try to stick around though."

Jackie

I nod and swallow, "Okay."
