Jackie

"Everything," she mumbles.

Nic

I study her, "...Can you tell me what you might have seen in the dream? So I know if I can help."

Jackie

Rayah sighs, "Kids...lightning...nature...love..." she tries to explain, "S'complicated."

Nic

I glance back at Jace for a second, nodding.

Jackie

Rayah sighs and glances at me, wanting me to do something. I put my hands up in surrender and scootch over, "I can't make you pregnant, Rayah."

She flashes a smiles before chuckling and burying her face in a pillow again.

Nic

Jace glances at her and I shove his face away, shaking my head at him.

Jackie

I study her, "It's gonna happen either way, Ray. Just...not right now. In a month or something."

She moans and I sigh, closing my eyes.

Nic

Yeah, when they actually have a chance to know each other and I stop seeing Jae as a little boy still... I bring up the ribbon again and send it swirling throughout the room.

Jackie

Rayah stands, taking my phone from the counter and texting Someone. I let her and sigh, eyes still closed.

Nic

I remember we didn't have breakfast and excuse myself, heading downstairs for food for everyone.

Jackie

I end up falling asleep and sigh, cuddling with a pillow.

Nic

A worker helps me carry all four plates up and I tip him on his way out, closing and locking the door.

Jackie

The door closes and I wake, looking at Nic, "What...what happened?" I ask tiredly.

Nic

I look at Jackie, "Oh, sorry I woke you. I went to get breakfast."

Jackie

I shake my head and sit up, "S'Fine."
