Yay!!!! I'll start then!! ^u^ (Sorry it's not detailed enough! I'm just not up to it! ^^")

I head about this hotel in the papers. How it was so fashionable and historic and everything. And I heard it was some other stuff too. Just rumors really, but they drew me in.

My mom has wanted to get me out of the house since forever, so I thought 'Why not give this place a shot?' and so, I booked my accommodations online, getting Room 152 for a good amount of my savings... And my flight to Vegas online as well.

When I got to the airport, a limo was waiting outside for me and some other guests who were headed to the hotel, like me.

"Guests headed for Hotel de Scar! I am your guide to the hotel!" The chauffeur, wearing black tie, standing in front of the Hummer was saying.

Whee!!! ...I changed a few things in my profile, but it doesn't affect anything outside Sunny's band.

I was clicking away on my laptop when my guitarist, Shaun, called me. I grabbed my phone and held it on my shoulder. "Hey," I said.

"Hey," Shaun replied. "Whatcha doing?"

"Dude," I said. "I just booked this awesome hotel room. You wouldn't believe how gorgeous this place is."

"Yeah, that's great," Shaun grumbled. "Rub it in our faces."

"Our faces?" I repeated.

"You're on speakerphone!" my drummer, Ian, shouted in the background.

"Oh, thanks for telling me right away," I said sarcastically. Ian laughed.

"So...how long are you going to be gone?" Shaun asked.

"Two weeks," I answered. "Don't worry, I'll finish writing those songs while I'm gone. You guys'll practice, right?"

"Sure, sure," Shaun said. "See you when you get back."

I return home from my last day of summer training. In afew weeks I'll be starting my first year as a seventh grade history teacher. I change out of my work clothes and into my pajamas, then I fix my bun and grab my laptop. I wish I could take a vacation before class starts soon. I look for a reasonably priced vacation and actually find one. At a place called Hotel De Scar, I also find a fairly cheap flight! I book it, but I'm leaving tomorrow morning. I log off the computer and pack up quickly. It's going to be a ten day vacation. I'm so excited that I almost forgot that I didn't eat dinner yet. I make myself some fettucini alfredo and make sure I have everything I'll need all packed up. Then I turn in early and dream sweetly.

I wake up at five AM. I figure I'll leave in about an hour, it'll take another hour to get to the airport and then I'll have two hours to kill at the airport. I always leave super early to get there at least two hours before take-off. I get ready and grab my camcorder, I always make a video of any vacations I take. Even when I was a kid, we didn't take many, but when we did it was special, so I would bring my mother's old camera she left behind when she abandoned us. I turn my camcorder on and announce my itenirary for the day. I hop into my car and drive to the airport. When I get there it's fairly empty, everyone is just getting back from their vacations since school starts soon. I make my way over to the restaraunts and get a latte. Then I make my way to the gate. I take a seat and entertain myself with the different things I brought with me.

I scroll through pages of advertisements, humming to myself softly. I know what I'm looking for, but a good deal is always hard to find.

Hotel De Scar, I read, picking the bright colored square out of a thousand others, and click the link. As I read farther, I like what I'm seeing. The hotel seems nice, cheap for the accommodations, and Vegas is a possible location for my frequent flyer miles.

I snap up a room right away and schedule my flight...

. . . . .

I haul my suitcase- full of clothing and toiletries- and my carry-on- almost bursting with assorted technology- out of the airport, my earbuds in my ears though no music was playing in them.

I raise my eyebrows at a stretch Hummer and a well dressed man holding a sign reading in fancy font, "Welcome Guests of Hotel De Scar." Every few moments the man called the message of the sign out to those milling about the airport doors.

I approached him slowly and pointed at the sign, acting as though I had music blasting through my earbuds.

He smiled and nodded at me, opening the door for me to step inside.

When I got off the plane, there was a guy with a sign waiting for me. I grabbed my suitcase and followed him and some other people out of the airport. Outside, the world's longest stretch Hummer was waiting for us. I let the driver toss my suitcase in the back, and then slid into one of the side-facing seats.

A few seconds later, another person got into the car, wearing his earbuds. Usually, I could hear people's music even with the earbuds, but I couldn't hear his. They must have been the really nice kind.

"Whatcha listening to?" I asked him.

It’s just after five in the afternoon and I’m sitting on my bed at home, my laptop open on my lap.
You’d think I’d have something better to do on a Friday afternoon… after the last day on school before the summer holidays…but you’d be wrong. Cause it’s raining and basically all of the shops are closed for some sort of public strike… again.
There’s a knock at the door and my dad walks in slightly, “Hey Iz. How you going?”

I nod, “good. Never figured these strikes could make everything so boring,” I hold up my laptop slightly, “The connections even getting slower.”
He nods like he understand, but he seems a bit distracted,” Hey Iz. What do you have planned for the holidays?”

I think for a moment and then shrug, “The same as last holidays, really. Sleeping in… maybe catch a few extra shifts at work… take some extra classes…”

He shakes his head, “It’s the holidays and you still want to work. Come on, Iz. You need a break… “ , he pulls what looks like a catalogue from behind his back,” In fact, I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I found this place online that seemed pretty cheap. Uh…” He scans through the catalogue, “Hotel De Scar! Strange name but the reviews are good. Or so the investors say…”

He hands me the catalogue and quickly I scan through it. The whole place seems very high key… but nice and luxurious.

I look back up to my father, “It’s great dad but it’s gotta be pretty expensive. Maybe next holiday, huh?”
He shakes his head, “Yeah, It was…”
“What do you mean?” I ask and he smiles slightly,” Don’t worry about price Iz. I’ve already booked you a ticket.”

He pulls the said ticket out of his pocket slightly, frowning a little, “The flight leaves in a few hours so you’d probably best get packing.”
“What? Wait... What about you?”

“Oh don’t worry about me… It was a little expensive so I didn’t book one for myself as well so I’ll probably just go stay at Jackie’s all summer. It’ll be too lonely here without you…”

I grin a little thinking about how nice it will be to get away for once, “Thanks dad.” He leaves and I start packing my bag.

What does one take to a 5 star resort?

Later

A little tiredly I walk off the plane walking along various ramps to find my suitcases.
Then I see the car- a professional looking shiny black limo- with a professional looking man in a flawless tuxedo standing in front of it at the centre of the car park.
I wonder who that’s for… Someone important by the looks of it.
That’s why I’m shocked when I see the sign in a very fancy font that the man is holding. Welcome guest of Hotel De Scar…
Wow! That limo’s for me? Us? Whoever the other guests could be…
I walk over and the man smiles, “Are you one of the guests for Hotel De Scar?” I nod and show him my ticket, watching silently as he opens the door for me.

I step into the limo taking the first seat I see and settle my carry bag on my lap.
This is a little unreal… even for a 5 star hotel.

I look around at the other people in the car- theirs three of us all together- me, a girl maybe a couple of years older than me with blonde hair and tan skin and a boy in his 20’s with headphones in.

I smile a little, wanting to at least know one person while I’m here…
Hey, it’s a two week holiday.

“Um… Hi,” I squeak, doubting that either one can hear me.

Come on Iza. Since when do you get nervous talking to people? A voice in my head asks me sarcastically. I try again, “Hi… I’m Iza. How long have you guys been waiting here for?”
EVERY DAY MIGHT NOT BE GOOD...
BUT THERE IS SOMETHING GOOD IN EVERY DAY.

Don't be sorry your darkness is gone. I'll carry it for you.
Always. I'll keep it with mine.

Gotta catch em all!

I get on the plane when they call for boarding and take a seat in the first row. I love not having them tell you where to sit. I turn off my phone, and pull out my ipod. This is going to be a long flight, seven to eight hours. I've never been to Vegas, but I know people who have, they said if it wasn't as amazing as it is, it wouldn't be worth it to go there from New York. So I watch the safety demonstration done by the flight attendant, and wait for the plane to take off. After take off, when the flight attendant comes around, I order some coffee, I am so not awake rightnow, and I've been up for hours. When she returns I choke it down, and eat a granola bar I brought with me. Then I put my headphones on, turn on some music, and fall fast asleep. When I wake up we are landing! It would be about 3:30 at home, but it's only 12:30 here! We arrived a haf hour early.

I get off of the plane and dash to baggage claim. I get my suitcase and pull my carry-on onto my shoulder. I walk down to pick-up, I'll look or a cab. But then I see a stretch hummer and get distracted. Who is so important that they need to be picked up in one of these!? I pull off my headphones and shove them and my pod into my carry-on. I go to call for a taxi when I hearthe guy in a tuxedo in front of the stretch hummer calll out for the guests of Hotel De Scar. Apparently I'm important enought to have to be picked up in one of these! I slide in whie the guy in the tuxedo puts my bags in the back. I find four other people in here, but just sit quietly.

I lounged in the Hummer, ignoring the two girls who was already sitting there.

One of them studied me and asks brightly, "Whatcha listening to?"

I blinked in surprise, not used to people addressing me when I was 'listening' to music. I pointed to my ears and shook my head. I can't hear you, was
the nonverbal message there, but I didn't move to take an earbud out.

She frowned, and the door opened.

I slid over and slouched against the opposite door.

Another teenage girl slides in. She glances around nervously. "Hi," she whispers.

No one reacts.

She shakes her head. "Hi... I'm Iza. How long have you guys been waiting here for?"

We go around the limo and everyone- the two girls- says their names, having agreed that so far the wait hadn't been long.

A long silence goes by, and they look at me. I nod sharply and mutter, "Nathan," before attempting to stare out the tinted window. Everything's just a black blur. The three girls are talking about something. They pause when the door opens for a second time and a woman- a few years older than the other three girls, I think- slides in. After a moment of silence, the three go back to chattering, some more than others, and the woman sits there primly, silent.

I study her as we wait for the rest of the guests and look away when her eyes flick up to meet mine. I glance at her again and sigh. I lean forward and offer my hand. "Nathan Rutledge."

A guy who can only be a couple years older than me holds out his hand to me, "Nathan Rutledge." I feel myself blushing but tell myself to snap out of it. I extend my hand and we shake. "Brooklyn Davis." I sayy. We make small talk for a few minutes until the other guests arrive, then we start moving. It is a fairly short ride, but I can't believe my eyes as we pull up. This place is gorgeous! We all get out of the car, and the driver gets us all our bags, then we ebter and I wait in line to check-in.

Amazing. That's the only way to describe the hotel. It stood, lonely and majestic, atop a green-gray cliff. Water churned below, surprisingly rough. In fact, I could taste the hint of a storm in the air. I just hope nothing goes wrong.

In the limo, I don't think anyone really noticed me. Well, I do seem to be the youngest. And the shortest. But it was still annoying. I sat, quiet and wistful-looking, hopefully, by a window seat of the limo, watching outside.

Everyone chatted, but I just sat and sighed.

Back at the hotel, we drove through an ancient set of vine-draped black gates, and parked in an equally ancient drive-way looking thing.

And we all got out with luggage in hand.

I peer out the window, staring at the grand building stretched across a cliff. That had not been included in the review... It looked fantastic though, obviously old. It must be placed fairly sturdily if it had lasted that long.

As we drove through a ivy covered gate and bumped down an old driveway, I realized everything about this place was ancient.

We filed out of the limo and into the lobby which looked like it could have been a throne room. I stared, open mouthed, for a long moment, taking in the gold silk curtains, the high, domed ceilings, the imported rugs on top of gleaming dark wood, and the plush furniture. Slowly, I made my way to the check-in desk and gave the woman behind the counter my name, receiving a key in turn.

She gave me a brisk run through of the hotel's many extras, including a spa, weight room, restaurant, and library. Those are just the ones I could remember. She finished it all with, "And, of course, if you need anything, day or night, just ring us down here, and we'll try to get it for you."

I nodded my thanks and moved away to attempt to find my room.

After finding my way to my room, I got my little notebook out of my backpack and started unpacking my guitar. This hotel was a songwriter's heaven--every room offered some sort of inspiration. I undid the clasps and opened the guitar case, revealing...Shaun's guitar. Whoops...Shaun would just have to play mine until I got back.

I slipped the guitar's strap over my neck, and went strolling through the hotel, notebook and pencil in hand. I had a good feeling about today--for the last few weeks, I'd been on a writing tear, and here was a bunch of new stuff to write about.

I wandered past the dining hall, glancing briefly at the hotel employees setting up tables, and then walked out onto the giant balcony on the far side of the hotel. Sitting down with Shaun's guitar in my lap, I flipped to a blank page in my notebook and started thinking. I didn't really want to write something funny this time--I'd been doing funny since last Thursday. Hmm...the Globetrotters' tag line was "everything from the world's sappiest love ballads to sci-fi epics with didgeridoo solos." I had already written the sappy love ballad, but I hadn't written a sci-fi epic with a didgeridoo. Maybe I could work on that...

It would be about...an interstellar expedition. An expedition between...what were some star names people knew? Polaris, maybe...and...Vega. That was a good one.

I was about to start writing, when I heard a thunderclap. The sky had gone dark grayish-purple, and after just a few seconds, there was a bright flash of lightning.

After I check-in, I go to my room. It is absolutely gorgeous! No one will ever believe I was able to afford this place on a teacher's salary! I decide to explore for a bit and come across all kinds of things. Then I go back down to the lobby. I take my hat off because it's annoying me. Then I see the piano, calling me. I sit at it and pull out my phone to pull up sheet music to random songs. I begin to play, and people like it. Some even leave me tips in the hat! Everything is perfect until I see the lighting, which has me jump up, grab my belongings, and dash to my room.

I fall down on my bed, exhausted. Can you imagine the amount of stairs this house has? It's like The Buckingham Palace...just in America. I sigh. Now what? Should I pick up my newest book on the paranormal and start reading? Something told me this room was the perfect place to begin.

The room was big, the wallpaper was a blue floral pattern, and the bed was made with silk sheets. The sleek hardwood flooring looked like any interior designer's dream. And the paintings on the walls were reminiscent of Impressionism...I don't know the specifics, okay? I'm not into those kind of stuff.

And the light in the room glowed white, due to the bulbs placed in each corner of the room.

But I don't know why though...why does it all seem so strange? So...intimidating? And the storm...What will happen?

I started to feel a bit uncomfortable just sitting there all alone, so I creaked open the door with flashlight in hand.

And I strolled down the hallway.

Time for some exploring...

I heard noises and laughs from below. I ignored them. And I began to take in the details of the house. It was probably built 100-200 years ago, based on the dates I found some of the paintings to be finished. They lined the hallway walls everywhere...and they look really expensive...

And I smushed my nose straight into a door.
"God..." I massaged my aching nose.

But then, I looked up. And I saw something that drew me in.

And I opened the door.

Inside was the biggest stash of money bags I had ever seen in my life. Thunder roared. And I heard wind howling outside a window fitted on the hallway.

And I knew...something was going to go wrong. It wasn't woman's instinct. I...just knew it.
