Shipwrecked 1.5- Stranded in Vegas

Will

I was feeling a little better, so I got up and walked back out to the front desk. Annie was doing something on her computer, but she got up and walked over when I came out.

"Will!" she exclaimed. "How're you feeling?"

"A bit better, I think," I replied. "You know, I've never been out to your hotel before. What's here that I don't know about?"

-Alysha-

We got to the car and I unlocked it , and we got in , I turned the car on and drove back to the hotel , we drove down the street , we finally arrive back at the hotel ,I chucked the keys to the ballet driver , and got the bags out , I gave sunny hers and then I told her "Go put them on" , sunny ran inside and went to her room , when I walked in I saw will , and annie , I walked over to will and annie and said "Hey guys , whats up?", they both looked sad , Annie just looked at me and said " The hotel is going to be sold , The owner ran away with the money and now , the banks going to sell it!", I just looked at her and said "How much are they going to sell it for ?" , she just stared at me and said "Why?" , I had to reply "Cuzs im going to buy it " , Annie smiled at me and said "its going to be sold for 4.5 million dollars ", I was shocked at first then I decided to buy it and said " Annie how would you like a raise when i buy it?" .

Will

When Alysha offered to buy the hotel, my jaw dropped. Embarrassing, I know, but I couldn't help myself.

I stood in place, gaping like an oxygen-starved fish, glancing back and forth between Annie and Alysha. Finally, I turned and stared at Alysha. "Alysha," I said incredulously, "how much money do you have?!"

Alysha thought for a moment, and then shrugged. "I have no clue," she replied. "Enough for a ship and a hotel."

Annie

I see Will's mouth drop and I know that this is really happening All I can think right now is that I am not going to lose the best job in the world and the fact that this girl has so much money. I cannot even handle myself right now. “Thank you so much.” Is all I manage to spit out. I cannot wipe the big smile off my face. “I do not know how to repay you. If there is any thing I can do, just let me know.”

Sunny

I walk up to my room in the hotel though the side entrance Alysha dragged me out of before when we just ‘HAD TO’ go dress shopping.
When I get there I spot two people stating in front of my door.
Two people I know.

A cousin with spiky blonde hair who I haven’t seen in years and the brother who I haven’t seen and 2 months but missed more than anything.
When I get closer they both look up.

Zak (my cousin) is the first to speak, “Is that Sunny?” he asks peering at me,” bit taller since the last time I saw her...”
I roll my eyes smiling though the surprise of seeing them here now.
I’ve grown about an inch since I was 15.

Ryan just grins and hugs me, “so the lady at the reception desk was right! But what are you doing here, Sun? Wasn’t the ship heading for...?”
I nod, “It was... before it sank.”
He pulls back, “It...Sank?”

I nod again, “Well almost. The ship hit an iceberg about halfway there. We were deserted on this island for a while. Or at least I’m told... I was pretty much comatose the whole time.”
Leaning against the wall I try to briefly explain everything else that’s been happening in the last week.
He shakes his head in disbelief when I’m finished and asks, “You’re okay now right?”
“Pretty much.”

The clock starts chiming and I turn towards my door.
“Damn it! I gotta get ready before Alysha has a total cow,” I tell them and rush into my room.

Quickly I throw the new clothes on, including the layering of jewellery that Alysha insisted went with my dress, and throw my hair up and a neat up do.
Then I run back outside and Zak lets out a whistle.

“Nice dress, Sunny. You actually look you’re age.”
I roll my eyes, ‘Thanks Zakie. Thanks.”
Ryan grins, “Jeez. What’s the occasion Sunshine?”
I shake my head, “Nothing. Alysha insisted that I wear this... although I don’t really see why.”

“I do,” he mutters, looking off down the hall.
I ignore that I turn to them both, “Come on. You guys can meet Alysha, Will and Annie while you’re here,” we start walking towards the lobby and a question comes to mind, “So how’d you guys know I was here anyway?”
Zak answers, “Well you may not know it but I actually own my own one of these places nowadays. The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. It’s pretty much just down the street from here,” he pauses and I just have to ask, “Wait. You own your own hotel and Casino?”

He nods, “It was dad’s business pretty much but when he died the place got passed down to me,” he looks sad for a minute before he goes on with the original story, “Any how I just popped out for a break the other day when I saw you and... Blondie, walking down The Row. At first I didn’t really think it was you, cause y’know, Sunny, you aren’t really the shopping type an all. Then I saw your face and figured that two people just could not look SO much alike so I made some calls around to the other resorts and figured you were staying at this one. Ryan here was so shocked! Happy though.
I think he secretly gets tired of me. Wins every argument he does. But what am I supposed to expect? The Kids a lawyer. “

I roll my eyes and we both sneak looks at Ryan, who laughs, “Not yet I’m not.”
We walk into the lobby then to find Annie standing by her desk looking like she’s about to cry in relief, Will looking amazingly shocked- his moth hanging open and Alysha looking a little pleased.

We walk over, “What’s going on?” I ask.
Alysha is the first to reply, “I’m going to buy this place.”
“What? Really?” I ask and she nods, “Yup.”
She looks behind me, spotting Zakie and Ryan “Who are your friends?”
I grin, turning to them, “Family, actually,” I make a gesture to Zakie,”This is my cousin Zakary Blake.”

I point to Ryan, grinning, “And this is my brother, Ryan.”
Annie nods, “I should have figured that you were related earlier when they came in asking about you,” She points to Ryan, “You too just look so alike.”
I nod, grinning- not the first time we’ve heard that.
Ryan says as much, “Yeah. We’re twins.”
“No kidding?” Alysha mutters.
I turn back to the others, “Zakie, Ryan,” I nod, “These are my friends Annie, Will and Alysha.”

Ryan nods, shaking their hands in turn while Zak just stands back grinning.
When it’s his turn to say hello he steps forward shakes Will’s hand heartily, kisses Annie’s cheek and then turns to Alysha.
“Blondie,” he says, grinning.

Just then a man with immaculate brown hair, dressed in a creaseless grey pinstripe suit, walks in, briefcase in hand.
“Hello,” he says very officially to Annie, ignoring the rest of us, “I’m here with the official documenting of this place. My father used to hold ownership over this establishment but as you must know he was diagnosed earlier this year with a horrid disease and is unable to continue working. He has passed this place over to me since then.”

Just then Alysha speaks up.

-Alysha-

"Well that’s funny! , it’s a bit late now , after all , you haven’t been here for a while and this place is in debt of millions of dollars , plus since you haven’t paid anything , I’m pretty sure the power is about to go out any minute!" , 5 minutes after I said that the power cut out , "WHAT NOW?!" I yelled at him , I walked outside and found the power box , I opened it , and flipped the switch 5 times , creating enough charge to keep the hotel up and running for the night , When I was walking back inside I saw the same man run out and get into a cab and drive away as fast as the driver could , I walked inside to find , Annie , will , sunny and her family , I walked back over to the group and sunny and will said at the same time "Where the mole go?" . I just had to laugh and replied "he ran off , anyhow I have to run down to the bank then I will be back to get changed ", before I could finish saying what I was gunna say, will cut me off and said "You still are coming to dinner right?". I stood there for a minute thinking weather I was going or not , in the end I said " sure , as long as sunny and her cousin and brother can come as well, I turned and walked outside , and got them to bring my car around , when sunny's cousin and brother saw my car , I could see their faces , it was hilarious , I drove down to the bank and bought the casino , and paid the debt off , and then I paid the water , land rates , and power bill , After i finished doing all that it was time for dinner , I sped back to the hotel , chucked the ballet driver my keys and ran , inside to my room , I had a quick shower, and got my dress on , and got my matching shoes on , I quickly brushed my hair , and put it in a formal sort of hairdo , and did all my make up , I looked through my bags , I found my mother’s old , red ruby necklace , my rings and my earrings , I put them all on then left my room , pulling the door shut behind me then locking it , I finally get to dinner hall , and start looking for everyone.

-Sunny-

After the man leaves and the light goes back on Alysha starts talking again.
“I’m just going down to the bank and then I’m gonna get ready for dinner…”
“You are still coming for dinner right? Will asks her and she nods, “Yeah, Sunny and her family can come as well,” she says gesturing to me and Ryan and Zak. She walks outside, us following after her, to get her car and Ryan looks a bit surprised. “Nice car, “ Zak notes, grinning and pulling his car keys out of his pocket, walking over to a shiny black car, obviously notable at the side of the street, “I like mine better though.”
“Trans Am,” Ryan mutters to me under his breath.
Alysha nods getting into her car, probably driving to the bank like she said he would.
“So…” Zak starts turning to me, “This place is pretty awesome but do you want to come and see dads… uh, my hotel? I and Ryan are staying there…”
Just then Alysha comes back, the black dress she had bought before.

-Alysha-

I walked out of the dining hall found sunny talking to ryan , then i walked over to the front desk , i started planing on buying the old run down hotel next door , and planned on knocking it down and creating a billion dollar hotel , that was one of a kind , and I was going to get a copywrite signed so no one else could copy it , then I planned on how to improve this place , it took me 5 mins to plan out all of this then I rushed of to the dinner hall again, with the plans in my hand.

-Sunny-

As Ryan, Will, Annie, Zak and I walk into the dining hall- without Alysha because she’d rushed right past us like we weren’t even there- the aroma of cooking food fills the air.
Then I spot Alysha standing over by the north wall, looking around cautiously.
I ditch the others temporarily and walk over to her.
"Hey," I said and she snaps her head back around to face me, "looking for anything in particular?"
She looks relieved, “No. I was just thinking about what I’m going to do with this hotel and… yeah I was looking for you guys too.”
I nod and some of the others walk over, dressed up appropriately for dinner. Zak slumps down in one of the chairs- “So where’s the food around here?”
He grins just as a waiter walks over. The rest of us sit down at the table and everyone starts ordering.

-Ryan-

I tag behind Sunny, Zak and the others as we walk into the dining hall.
It’s not bad really, considering how the other girl- Alysha- keeps talking about how it has sooo many problems making me wonder how she actually knows. She’s only been here as long as Sunny, right?
And that’s only been a few days…
Silently I take a seat at the table.
A waiter comes of grinning at Alysha, Annie and Sunny.
“Can I get you anything?” he asks.
Zak is the first to answer, “Well it’s about time! Now what are you people serving up here?”
The waiter hands him the menu and after he finally orders the menu is handed around to everyone else.

-Alysha-

We ordered our food , and 10 minutes later it arrive , we all ate our dinner and had a good chat and had fun , we were there until closing time , by then me and sunny were drunk from the drinking contest we had, will , annie and ryan were the only ones who were sober , so will had to take me to my room , ryan had to take sunny , it took will 15 minutes to get me to my room , usually it would of taken half that then it took him another 20 minutes just to unlock my door , maily because he had to keep dragging me back to my door, because i kept trying to walk off , he finnally managed to unlock it and open it , he threw me inside on my bed and said " stay there !" , i said " So you like it rough huh!" , i giggled and rolled off the bed , and said " RAWR im a kitty".

Will

I wasn't sure whether to be annoyed at Alysha or to start laughing hysterically.

"That's great," I said, in response to her kitty comment. "I'm a penguin. ...Do you have any idea how hung over you're going to be tomorrow?"

Alysha didn't respond--she was out cold. I grabbed her by the arms, tossed her onto her bed, and walked out, closing the door tightly behind me. The last thing Annie needed was her getting out before she was sober again.

Out in the lobby, Sunny's friends, Zak and Ryan, were sitting on a bench. "That...was...insane," Zak said slowly, emphasizing each word. "That chick was drunk out of her mind!" I assumed he was referring to Alysha. Sunny had been drunk, too, but Alysha was...well, pass-out-on-the-floor drunk.

Ryan

As I walk back downstairs from Sunny’s room at the hotel after ten solid minutes of struggling with her up the stairs- mostly because she wasn’t walking straight and kept falling over- I look around at the finesse of the hotel, trying not to compare it to Zak’s hotel.

By the time I get back down to the lobby Zak is still there, with yet another drink in his hands.
He’s not quite as drunk as either of the girls but nobody in their right minds could truthfully call him sober either.

I roll my eyes; it’s not all that surprising either.
Zak’s not one to turn down a drink.

He turns his head up to peer at me when I walk over and plod down in the seat next to him, “What’s that? Your tenth drink?”

“Ah, Ryan. My man...” He grins raising his bottle to me, “Sunny’s asleep, no doubt.”

I nod, “Yep. And she didn’t have half as much as that other girl...”

He laughs a bit at that, “Who? Blondie? She’s gonna have one hell of a headache tomorrow.”

I roll my eyes again, some people might have found the way my cousin spoke offensive but after the last few weeks I’d gotten used to him.

He never really met anyone bad and he was a lot smarter than most people would think on first sight.

He ran a hotel solo. He couldn’t do that if he was stupid could he?

Just then Will walks though the door and walks over to the seat opposite us.

Zak grins.

“Well, that...was...insane," he says slowly, "That chick was drunk out of her mind!"

“Yeah,” I agree, “She’s almost as bad as you.”

Zak shakes his head, “Almost,”

He pauses a second, grinning, “It’ll be... interesting in the morning, though.”

-Alysha-

I wake up 10 minutes later and stumble to my feet , I stumble across to my door ,and make my way out , i turn to pull the door shut but ,it had already shut on me, so i stumble for the stairs , i tripped just as i got to the stairs , and i rolled all the way down to the lobby , i got up and dusted myself off and said " WOO I MADE IT , EXPRESS STAIRS!!" I stumbled off back to the bar and had a few more drinks , and when i came back i was even drunker , but this time i notice everyone standing around in a group , i walked over to them and said " ITS THE PENGUIN" , and i pointed at will , " IM A KITTY RAWR , IM COMING TO EAT YOU " i said. Then i fell over , and took will down with me.

-Ryan-

Just then the blonde one- Alysha- comes walking... or rather ‘ambling’ over to us grinning from ear to ear and looking even worse off than before.

She walks right over to us tripping over her own feet at least every second step and basically falls on the other guy- Will.
“IT’S THE PENGUIN!!!!” She slurs, or at least I think that’s what she says.
It comes out more like:”ISSSSAAA PENN GUN!!!!”

She keeps going, her words all slurred and hard to understand, “I A KITTY! Raaaaaah!
I Eeee Yooooh! "
She giggles uncontrollably for a second and the proceeds to fall over again taking Will onto the ground with her.

Zak rolls his eyes and blurts out laughing, walking over and pulling her to her feet.

I extend a hand to Will and he climbs to his feet.

“Apparently not on the floor drunk,” I mutter and a waiter comes over briefly.

“Is everything alright over here?” He asks staring at Alysha for a moment, “ Can I...”

“I want another drink!” Alysha mutters to him and Zak rolls his eyes grabbing the waiters arm before he rushes off to get the girl another drink, “Hey, man,” he shakes his head and gestures to Alysha, “She’s had enough to drink... by FAR. What she needs is coffee. And something solid to eat.. so she doesn’t... I don’t know get kidney failure or something. I don’t know. I’m no doctor. But my cousin is and that’s probably what she would say... Maybe...”

I think about Sunny, dead to the world in her room.

She probably would say that... just not at the moment.

The waiter nods and for a moment Alysha blacks out.

“Of course,” the man mutters and wanders off to find food.

-Alysha-

I move slowly away from the chair where someone insisted I sit and looked around the room. Everything was spinning in a cool way so I stood up and started dancing to the music. Or I think there was music... I can’t remember. Everywhere people are staring and a body guard walks over. “Miss, I’m afraid we’ll have to ask you to leave the bar. You’re disrupting people. “ Wait... The bar? I look around to find myself in the bar. How the hell did I get in here?
Suddenly my head starts hurting and I look around for some people that I know.
“Can you take me to my room?” I ask somebody. There face is blurry but I’m pretty sure that it’s either Will... or Zak... or... Annie... hopefully.
Whoever it is nods and walks me back upstairs to my room and just when they’re about to close the door I yell out "Nooooooo! Stay with me! I don’t want the evil monkey to get me!!''
They laughed a little and said, "Alright Alysha, calm down. I will stay.”
He gets up and turns the lights off, walking over to sit in an armchair.
I get up again, wobbling a bit," I’m going to change into my PJ’s."
I stumbled into the bathroom and got changed into a silk set of PJs ; all they were was a silk top and silk short shorts- then I stumbled back to the bed and got under the blankets and went to sleep.
