I look at him, "I told the sheriff I used to be a police officer in the town over," I say, "Then I had to fill out some forms."

I flash a smile and nod, swallowing as the pain returns again, "I just hope it lasts."

I nod, letting go of him, "I need to fill out more paperwork," I sigh, "At my...desk-thingy."

Louis

I nod and look back down at mine, letting her get on to hers.

I make my way to my desk and plop down, kicking my feet up on my desk as I take the paperwork and a pen in my lap.

Hah. I'm writing down stuff about criminals and justice and everything...this feels so different.

Louis

I glance up at her every so often, worried she'd be recognized, and jump when Andy appears behind me.

"Hey, you alright, man? Heard what happened..." he says.

"Yeah, fine," I nod, wanting to be left alone.

Sam

I catch Andy scaring the sh*t out of Louis and I glance up at him, shaking my head before looking back down at my work.

I'll never understand boys...

Louis

Andy leaves and heads over to Sam instead. I shake my head at him and take a deep breath, my stomach killing me.

Sam

Andy heads over to me and I pretend to be entranced in my work and surprised when he arrives. I glance up at him, wondering why he came over.

Louis

I don't pay attention to Andy, knowing the most he'll get is a kick in his manhood, and focus on my work instead.

Sam

He doesn't say anything and I sigh, looking back down at my work, "What's up?" I finally ask, writing down a security number in the space provided.

Louis

I catch what Andy says anyway, groaning at what he might start.

"Louis didn't mention you were on the force..." he says, confused.

Sam

I sigh, "I am now. Just got the job," I glance back up at him, "Was an officer a while back."

Louis

Andy nods and studies her.

"I didn't notice you had green eyes either..." he says before walking away.

Sam

I smirk before looking up, watching him, "Why are you looking there?" I joke before looking down at my work.

Weird.

They call me to the front to get the keys to my car and I groan, lazy.

I stand and set the papers down before walking up, snatching them before walking back and throwing them on my desk. Well. That was a waste of my time.
