I glance down at him, wrapping my arms tighter around him, "That's not gonna happen," I whisper back, kissing his cheek as I rest my chin on the top of his head again.

Jace

I bite my tongue and close my eyes again, burying my face in her neck without a response.

I groan and pout, sighing, "But I want to..."

Rayah

I watch him, kissing his forehead, and take a deep breath.

I smile and kiss him behind his ear, "But I don't..."

Jace

I open my eyes and glance at the kids before kissing Rayah's neck and closing my eyes again.

I shiver and roll on the floor, taking her with me, "Tough sh*t."

Rayah

I close my eyes and lean back, taking him with as I let out a huff.

I chuckle, "Tough sh*t to you too," I whisper, standing.

Jace

I shudder, the creature inside of me clawing to get out again. I hold Rayah closer and take a deep breath to keep calm.

I flash a smile and look at her, watching her stand, "I'll stay here then."

Rayah

I open one of eyes and study Jace, "You okay?"

I nod and shrug, sitting on the couch as I bring Halee on my lap, "So you shall."

Jace

I swallow and nod, keeping my eyes closed, "Distract me... please."

I glare at her playfully before closing my eyes and curling up.

Rayah

I sigh and glance around, thinking of something. I change positions with him and set my legs on his lap, flashing a smile, "This was the only thing I could think of," I chuckle.

I watch him fall asleep, holding Halee close as I play with her brown curls.

Jace

I smile and look at her, taking a deep breath, "S'fine. Thank you."

I stir in my sleep, my stomach knotting, and tighten my arms around it.

Rayah

I nod and watch him, flashing a smile. Just then someone kills the basement door. I glance up the stairs to find Gray. Oh sh*t.

I look at Jackie, her face growing even more pale, and she holds her kid close. I take Logan and Riley I my arms, swallowing.

Jackie

I practically have an heart attack. No.

He comes to my front, smiling at me and Halee as he crosses his arms, "Hey, pretty thing," He chuckles, seeing Halee, "Ooh..." He grins, "Who's this?"

I shake my head, "None of you're f*cking buisness."

"S'Fine..." He puts his hands up, "I was just asking. I'm going to take her anyways."

Jace

I sit up and instinctively bolt to the twins, bringing them back to Rayah and sticking close.

I nearly combust into flames at that voice. I dissolve and reappear in front of Jackie and Halee, blocking the way.

"You touch either of them and I'll freaking kill you," I threaten, burying the memories of the time where he actually succeeded in taking my Jackie.

Jackie

Gray chuckles, getting in Nic's face, "Huh? Is that right, lover boy?"

I bare my fangs at him and he looks at me for a second, "No need to get feisty, Jackie," He smiles, "I know you want me but there's no reason to hide it."

My eyes turn red and Rayah swears. I stand and shove him against the wall, "GET OUT!"

Rayah runs to me, trying to hold me back, and manages to pull be back a couple feet, but not much to my new strength, "Shhh, Jackie s'alright."

Jace takes Halee for me as Rayah tries to hold Jackie back. i glance at my wife, sending my thoughts into her mind.

Please. Not yet. I can't lose you again, and I don't want you or Renn getting hurt.

I look back at Gray and block his way again, keeping my distance cautiously.

"Leave," I order, "You're outnumbered and outmatched. I should smite you were you stand, but you're not worth it. Leave."

Jackie

My vampire takes over and bite Rayah's hand, making her let go of me. She shakes her hand out, venom seeping through it, "What the...?"

I shake my head at her, It isn't fatal.

Gray smiles, "Outnumbered? I think you're the one that's outnumbered, Nic."

He duplicates himself, six more of him surrounding us. I cross my arms and look him in the eyes.

You better leave or I swear I will bite you and give you more hell than you've ever thought you would be in. I'm stronger now, and my baby is hungry. So if you have the bright Idea, I would leave.
