Jackie

I nod, smiling, and tighten my grip around him.

I am SO going to kill her.

Using the spare key Jackie gave me to her house, I don't care if she might be sleeping. I walk upstairs and to her room, blocking my eyes once I get there, 'Oh, Sorry..." I chuckle.

Jackie jumps back, so fast I couldn't even see it, and her eyes lay on my neck, "What do you want Rayah?" She asks, her eyes red.

I swallow, taking a step back, "Are you alright?"

She nods slowly, breaking the lock she has on me, and leans against the bedframe, "Yeah."

Nic

I jump up and fall off the bed when Rayah appears. Shaking my head, I stand and walk to Jackie, wrapping my arms around her to keep her focused on me.

"She's good," I tell Rayah, kissing Jackie's neck.

Jackie

I take a deep breath to control myself, "It's not a good idea to be around me at night, Rayah. Dangerous. Talk to me by text in the morning or something...Alright?"

She shakes her head, "I need to talk to you now."

"Then talk," I say, hearing her heartbeat at the blood pulsing.

"You know how you're..." She looks at my stomach.

I nod, "Yeah."

"Did you tell you're mom?"

I shake my head, "Uh...No. Why would I?"

"No reason. Just wondering," She crosses her arms.

"Why Are you...pale...with red eyes...and black hair? You look really pretty." She asks.

Nic

I tighten my grip on Jackie and move her face to my neck. Focus on me, Jacks. Just me. Rayah asks why she looks like she does and I leave Jackie to respond.

Jackie

I nod, taking a deep breath, and kiss his neck once in assurance before turning back to Rayah, "Afterlife," I say, sighing, "they decided on vampire."

She swallows and takes a step back.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, Rayah," I say, "I already claimed Nic. I can't feed from anyone else."

She nods slowly, "Well...I'mma go now," She says, running out.

Nic

I tighten my grip on Jackie and take a deep breath, kissing her temple, "You okay?"

Jackie

I nod, "It's just....tempting," I say, "Everyone around me....they're blood...It's just...hard," I whisper.

Nic

I kiss her jawline and take a deep breath, "We'll get through it. I'll help."

Jackie

I close my eyes, sighing, "How?"

Nic

I study her, "We'll figure it out."

Jackie

I nod, leaning against him but keeping my eyes closed.

Nic

I take a deep breath and close my own eyes, "Love you."

Jackie

I smile at him, "Love you too."

Nic

I smile back and kiss her temple again.

Jackie

I sigh, "What time is it?"
