"No, no, no, Jacks. That's not what I meant," I look back at her, "I meant the situation. You talking to me mentally is fine. So cool."

Jackie

Haha. I knew. I was just playin' with you.

I hear someone else walk in and they say something about five more minutes. I swallow.

Who was that?

Nic

I swallow at the nurse and nod, waiting until she leaves. Sighing, I turn back to Jackie and kiss her temple, "I...it's past visitation time. They're giving me five more minutes here. I-I'm going to see if I can stay the night. I don't want to be alone. Jace can look after Halee for us."

Jackie

I nod inwardly.

Okay. Thanks. I don't really wanna be alone either.

Nic

I nod and kiss her cheek, "I know. And I'm not going to leave you."

Jackie

I feel him kiss my cheek.

You're gonna have to leave me...sometime. You have to eat and all that sh*t.

Nic

I sigh, setting my forehead against her temple and closing my eyes, "I'm not going to like it..."

Jackie

I smile inwardly again and don't get a chance to respond. The nurse walks in again.

"Times up."

Nic

I glance back at the nurse, "She's my wife... Can I stay the night with her? She needs me."

Jackie

"Yes. You can roll a medical bed over and connect it to hers, or you can keep it seperate," She motions to the one next to me before walking out and shutting the door.

Yay!

Nic

I roll the bed over and connect it, laying beside Jackie.

Jackie

Thank god. I'm gonna be scared as sh--

I feel a sharp pain in my heart and I wince a little, my hand moving across my stomach.

What the hell was that..?

Nic

Something happens and she moves. I sit up and take a deep breath, setting my hand atop hers, "W-what's wrong?"

Jackie

My heart... Something just happened with it...

I take a deep breath, my hand twitching again.

Nic

I take her hand and watch worriedly, wondering what's really going on.
