Jackie

I smile and nod at Jackie. He gets in the passenger seat and I get in the drivers' seat. Before we know it, we're at the doctor. I jump out of the car and grab Halee, walking in with Nic next to me, "I have to go in alone," I say, "The test might've been wrong. Just wanna make sure," I hand Halee to him and fill out paperwork before walking into a room.

Nic

I nod and kiss Jackie's forehead, sitting down with Halee on my lap in wait of Jackie's return.

Jackie

They do the test and a nurse comes to the room with results.

"You ready?"

I nod, "Yeah."

"You're pregnant," She starts, "You're having a little boy, he should arrive sometime next year," She says, flashing a smile.

I smile wide and nod, walking out to Nic. I pretend to ask sad and cross my arms, plopping next to him and trying to not burst out laughing.

Nic

Jackie comes out sad and my heart drops, stopping in my chest, "W-what's the news?"

Jackie

I glance at him, "I'm..."

I smile, "Pregnant. We're having a little boy."

Nic

I smile and pull her into a hug, kissing all over her face, "A little boy. So great."

Jackie

He kisses me all over my face and I chuckle at him, "Yeah. It is."

Nic

I smile and kiss the top of Halee's head, looking up at Jackie, "What are we going to name him?"

Jackie

I think for a second, "You pick."

Nic

I think of what I told her the first time, flashing a smile, "Renn. Only if you agree though."

Jackie

I nod, "Sure. Renn it is," I smile, looking down at my stomach.

Nic

I smile and kiss her temple, watching Halee curling up on Jackie's lap.

Jackie

Halee curls up on my lap and I kiss her forehead.

Nic

I smile and watch over the two, imagining us with a little boy.

Jackie

I scoop up Halee, "What do you guys say about lunch? It's twelve."
