Bawling my eyes out, I feel like I just got shot with a bullet...three times. Halee tries to calm me, the coach freaking out, and Halee hesitates before adding pressure to the wound.

The coach doesn't even do anything, just freaking out, and Halee swears before scooping me up and running me over to the nurses office.

The couch seemed to calm down and walk over to me and Logan, he whispered between me and Logan.

"Shes wounded but not seriously injured, she'll be fine." He said.

I was releaived and Logan seemed to be even more so, the couch turns back to the class and raises my hand for them to see and announced.

"I declare Luna Raithwall the victor of this battle and promoted to first squad female class leader." He announced.

The whole class bursted in cheers for once in the year someone had beat Faith and her freezing ways, I hugged and kissed Logan. The class chears turned into a whole lot of "Ooohs." I ignored them and just kissed Logan.

As happy as I am for Luna, I can't bring myself to kiss her back like usual. All I can see is the blood. I pull back and feel sick to my stomach, the cheering ringing in my ears. Before i can humiliate myself, I bolt into the locker room and lock myself in a stall, serious anxiety coming back from earlier.

The nurse bandages me and I take a deep breath, feeling a little light headed, Halee walks me back, watching me and making sure I didn't fall or anything.

I plop down against the bleachers once I get there, looking at Luna. Congratulations, Luna. You almost killed me. I hope you got what you wanted. Just remember what propel think of you now.

Shaking my head, I bury my face in my knees and Halee sits next to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders and shaking her head at Luna, Riley running over and making sure I'm okay.

Logan bolts off, he wasn't even kissing me back like he normally did. I wondered what was wrong with him? I knot in my stomach told me not to bother him, I look around and see Faith back already which was quick, but those were the nurses for you. I see Halee and Logan's sister Riley with her, I knew I wouldn't be welcomed between the three, suddenly. I felt alone, I hated this feeling. I walk over to the front wall and slide down sitting aside the door Logan had gone though. I had won, but why did it feel so empty?

I calm down but wait where I am, not wanting to go back out there just yet.

I watch Logan flee to the bathrooms and then proceed to watch Luna. My eyes flicker over to Faith, my sister, and my cousin, but I stand and walk towards Luna. I sit beside her nonchalantly at the bench that was there, not facing her.

"Every battle has its prize and every prize has its toll," I say, glancing over everyone.

I keep my face in my knees, Halee trying to get me to look at her, and Riley hugging me. I take deep breath but don't move, hurting like hell at the moment ane not even caring if she won or not. She won unfairly.

"Yea? I had beat Faith fairly, I had done it alone. I had only the weapons at my side. So why does this all feel... empty?" I ask.

I study the floor, making out the patterns in the scuff-marks left from people's shoes, and think.

"Every price has its toll," i repeat.

I sit in class, sighing and bored. Jackie is next to me, fully into the lesson. She writes down notes and I take a deep breath, taking out my notebook and doodling.

How does she do that?

I hurry to class, already late thanks to my half-brother. Nic chuckles as he runs behind me, his pockets jingling with his recent catch.

"Relax, Ja," he laughs, "We'll be fine. And, gods, can't you slow down?"

"Shut up," I growl, stopping at the door and opening it.

I sweep inside and take my seat in the back, leaving Nic to hand in our late slips.

Two guys walk in and I glance at them before begging the bell is going to ring soon. Glancing at the clock, I find there's only five more minutes and sighing of relief. Jackie's long black hair falls past her shoulders and her hazel eyes with full lips make me wonder if she's really a daughter of Athena an not Aphrodite. She glances at me and flashes a smile, me smiling back and showing her my doodle of the teacher getting eaten my a crocodile. She chuckles and sits back in her chair, running a hand through her hair.

The teacher lectures Nic, having forgotten about me, and I flash a smile. Jotting down everything off the chalkboard before the bell rings, I slip my notebook away and watch as Nic trudges back to me. He sits down, his jacket still jingling, and I look at him.

"Did you have to bring all that with you today?" I whisper.

"What?" he glances at the bunch of golden jewelry he'd stashed in his jacket, "This? Nah, just thought I'd annoy you."

I stand when the bell rings and grab Jackie by the wrist, dragging her out. She dissapears and reapears infront of me, crossing her arms over her book. I walk behind her and to lunch, sighing.

The bell rings and Nic jumps up, dragging me out of class and into the lunchroom. He pushes me at a table and sits across from me, bringing out his loot to count it. I shake my head and watch as he glances at two girls passing.

"Don't even think about it," I shake my head, bringing out my lunch.

"But... I think one of them had a necklace," he whispers, bolting before I can stop him.
