Mount Olympus [3]

Luna

"Looks like I'm fighting after all." I whisper.

The couch sees Faith up and running, finishing up attendence it was time to get this thing started.

"Luna Raithwall and Faith West, come to the front. It is time to begin todays match." The couch said.

I make my way up and wave to crowd, the place was esstadic to see the battle between me and her. Logan smiles and gives me a thumbs up as only one person in the crowd wasn't cheering, Renn, I wondered what was up with him. But I threw it off thinking none of it.

Logan

I watch Luna head to the center before moving beside Renn, wondering why he's so silent. I elbow him and he glances at me, expressionless.

"If I didn't know better, you'd be my father's son. You know that, right? You act just like him," I flash a smile.

He shrugs and looks away, focusing on the fight. That was supposed to be a compliment, buddy...

Faith

What have I gotten myself into?

Sighing, I step to the front with Luna and he makes us shake hands. I wait for her to make the first move, arms crossed. Dont do anything yet. Let her wear herself out, then, when you see an opening, go for it.

Luna

For a few minutes its totally quiet in the gym, not a word was spoken as we just stood there. I mimic her every move, crossed arms, mean stare, but eventually I reach for the sword that was on my back. But I stop, something telling me to wait, I've seen Faith fight, she waits her opponents out. Minutes pass like hours as no one makes the first move, just standing there I wondered what she was thinking.

Logan

I blink a few times before rubbing my eyes, not sure if I'm seeing this right. Whoa. It's like a life-sized checkmate. Just...not so much. What are they waiting for?

Faith

A smile grows on my face and I shake my head, "I'm not moving," I finally say, "Not making one more move until you do. I can stand here all day."

Luna

"Yea, cause your to scared to move." I said.

I drop down to one knee and remove the sword from my back, dropping it down to the ground.

"Well then." I said reaching for my daggers.

"Lets go!" I yell.

I draw my daggers and charge in, with my daggers drawn the first one aimed straight at her face. She sidesteps and I counter with another jab only to have her side step me again.I drop low and spin on one heel in an attempt to trip her, but she only back flips away.

"Get back here!" I yell.

Logan

Oh finally... something.

Renn tenses at my side and I watch with concern, hoping things won't go as bad as the vibes I'm getting off of my cousin.

Faith

I sigh and form waterballs in my hands, ready, "Come at me."

Luna

I go straight for her face, but she is incredibly fast. Looks like I have to go long range on her, I spin letting go of the dagger in my right hand and grab the magical chain that hooked onto the dagger. She wasn't expecting it and I caught her right in the leg as she came down, she fell to one knee and nursed her wounded leg.

"Surprise, surprise." I said.

Faith

"Holy sh*t!" I scream as I go down. I look at my ankle. It's bleeding. I freeze the woud, healing it, before standing and looking her straight in the eyes. I shale my head, "You really wanna play that way, huh? Fine..."

I summon some water to my side, them turning into ice and giving me more power. I take a deep breath and breathe it in, "Give up now or face this."

Luna

I allow both my daggers to clang to the ground, but then I stamp my foot and suddenly a a burst of hot air filled the room. Then it began, I spun and sent my first dagger after her. She rolled to the left and then I sent my second after her and she caught the chain with her hands, she yanked me forward and I came stumbling face first onto the ground. The ice crept along the ground and I released another burst of hot air to melt it, but it only crept forward even then. She yanked me forward again and I slid into the water.

"You ain't bad, you ain't mean. I'm gonna freeze you!" She yelled.

I could feel it, the water turning to ice underneath me. I yelled as I let go of my dagger and yanked back pulling her to knees, I regrab my dagger and yell with a fury I swing my dagger into the air and it was coming down on Faith.

Faith

Oh no...

The dagger comes right at me and it slashes the side of my torso, my eyes going blank. Halee runs to me, catching me as I fall backwards, "Fa? Fa, look at me," She whispers, lowering me as blood stains my shirt.

Luna

I blink a few times, did I, did I kill her? No, I didn't mean to do it I hated her, but I was no murderer. I blinked again praying that my dagger didn't kill her, I didn't mean to do it. I retract my daggers back into my hands and get to my feet, watching from a distance as the couch rushes over to check on Faith.

Logan

I jump from my squad and check on Luna, not taking my eyes off of the blood across the way, "Sit down, Lu. It's over."

Renn

I watch from my squad line, frozen and pale at the sight of all that blood. I look away and then down, blocking all thoughts and allowing myself to slip out of my own for once.
