"Mom!" I yelled desperately. Where can that woman be? "Mom!"

Lola was whimpering, my hands were shaking, I was getting sweaty, and I couldn't think straight.

"Mom! I need my meds!" I yelled. Shoving through the kitchen door, I made my way over to the cabinets and threw open cabinet after cabinet until I found the medicine cabinet. With a shaking hand, and shortening breath, I knocked bottle after bottle from the cabinet until a found my unlabeled, green bottle.

My hands shook badly, and I had no control. As I tried to get the lid off, Lola barked at me. Once I finally managed the cap off, Lola began growling at me.

"Lola, hush!" I ordered, getting irritated.

Pouring the pills into my hand, I shoved them into my mouth and swallowed them dry. Closing my eyes, I waited for the oncoming seizure to go away.

Thanks to my meds, it did.

*phew, close one! Luckily no one saw that....right? :) if anyone did, Hudson will claim he got dizzy from virtigo hahaha*

Amber "Am"

The person who'd shown up, it was Archer? He's always been a fun ladies man, but i'd never seen him from this view before. When he scooped me up, my mind flooded with confusion. What was up with people picking me up? When we reached the shade of indoors, Archer handed me a new case of contacts. I wasn't going to put them on, not right then at least.

“Hey Am, what’s your favorite dessert?” He asked as I removed my glasses and looked up at him.“You know, no one is going to think you a freak or a fake. It might take some time for them to get used to it, but since they know how upset you got, then they’ll understand why you didn’t mention it.” I stared at him. Did he really think that? I searched his gray eyes for any sign of lying; he pulled me into a hug, I bit my lip in thought as he went on.

“We all love each other, and the color of your eyes isn’t going to change that in the slightest.” I've never hugged archer this long, something was different. "Actually, they remind me of sugar candies.Well that make sense, since you're sweet. Do you mind if I bite you? Not your eye, but maybe your neck?" My cheeks blushed the color of my bikini and it was then when I became concious of my physical state. My body was damp from the ocen, along with my hair, dried tears rested on my cheeks, and Archer was the one helping me. Not Hudson.

"Honestly I don't." I whispered, ignoring the joke he brought with his question. Where is Hudson?
I forced the thought away. When it came down to it, maybe Archer cared more than Hudson. What was the use of having feelings for a guy who doesn't care? Stepping up onto my tippy-toes, I hugged him tighter, he was so warm.

After watching a full length romance movie unfold in front of me, I rolled my eyes and walked outside with Frixion.

My little sister was getting guys and I wasn't. Heck, I was pretty sure Oly had found some girl to conoodle with.

I mumbled a few curses under my breath as I layed out the strings to my kite, then I sent it sailing into the air. The gentle figure eights calmed me down, and I got my focus back.

I wonder if they have jet-skiing here.

I brought the kite in for a nose dive at the ground, then back up again to loop.

"Not bad," I heard Oly's voice behind me. He startled me, and I glanced over my shoudler.

"Thank's Oly. How's the chaos back at the house going?"
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?

Timber looks at me a moment, then pads over to the new-newcomers. They are on the fringe of the group, chatting with Mae. Timber pushes her muzzle into the boy's hand, demanding that he pets her right now. Laughing, he obliges. Seeing as I have to get my rude, pushy dog anyways, I suppose I'll say hi.

As I come closer, I recognize them. Or at least, I've seen them around on the beach. They got here the day before I did, Gramps told me. The only other thing I know about them is that they're both amazingly tall and that the girl has white hair.

"Boy, Howie, your face looks pretty interesting." Mae says, taking note of my freshly discolored nose. "Will you live?"

I nod.

"Hey, I've seen you around," the tall girl says to me. "You're always playing with your dog."

I nod again. "Yep, that's Timber and I'm Howie. We're staying at my grandparents' for the summer."

Timber rears up, placing her front paws on the tall guy's stomach because that's as hi as she'll go. I'm aching to correct her; jumping on people is definatly not allowed. But he doesn't seem to mind, and I don't want to make a bad impression by getting mad at my dog.

"Nice to meet you Howie." Tall girl sticks out a hand for me to shake. "I'm Opal. Chance and I are staying two doors down from you, I believe. Mae was just telling us about their whole summer-home thing."

"It's really... Something." I agree.

"Howie hadn't met us for five minutes when he got smacked in the face by a volleyball." Mae grins. "Hence the lovely bruises.

"Anyways," she continues. "You're welcome to stop by and hang with us whener you want. All three of you. We have an open-door policy at our house."

Chance and Opal smile, but inside I'm wailing in frustration. I was hoping she'd say something along the lines of "I hate you stay away from us." Then I could enjoy the rest of my summer all alone, making dressers and hunting crabs with Timber. Now I have to share the beach with a million teenagers I don't know. And I hate meeting new people.
When you asked me what Was wrong I wanted for dinner, I said "Nothing". But as I turned away I whispered, "Everything."

Eve

After running away for fear of being introduced to more people, Eve had wanted to get another apple. When she walked in however, she saw Archer and her older sister squeezing each other. Then she ran away again.

It had been a very confusing day for Eve, the poor girl. Three new people, three of them. That alone was enough to send her into a tizzy. She then had the misfortune to notice Hudson rummaging in the medicine cabinet. Even before that, she would have confused enough, but today everyone had actually been talking to her.

Sullivan had always been nice to everyone, and Oly had always been kind to her, but on a whole they usually ignored her. Today though, Oly had made her laugh, and Sullivan had given her a present and the highly sought for bay leaf. Why were they taking such an interest in her?

Eve thought back to her sister. That must be it, they wanted to be her friend because they wanted Amber’s attention. And then Eve (as she did quite often) over thought herself into a fit.

‘Wait, doesn’t Oly like Mae? Maybe the other way around? But Hudson and Amber liked each other too… Sullivan and Hudson were brothers, so they wouldn’t want to compete with each other? But if Oly doesn’t like Sullivan but doesn’t mind Archer even though they both like Amber… AH.’ Eve began counting the number of boys that liked her sister on her fingers. She proceeded to bang her head against the wall.

After a few minutes of that, all the boys she’d just been thinking about passed her in the hall. Eve squeaked and scurried off in the opposite direction.
“What’s up with her?” Shaun asked, turning to his roommate.

“Soft is a good word to describe my sister. Soft spoken, soft hearted and soft headed. She was probably overthinking and generally being stupid. Anyway, like I was saying, so I turn to her, and say ‘Really? Then I must be George Washington, cuz’ I’d sure like to cross your underwear!' Then she slapped me.”

Hudson

Amber. Where's Amber?

After I'd taken my meds, perhaps too many, and avoided a seizure, I went on a search for Amber. My palms were still sweaty and my leg was a little stiff, but I had to find her - all of my other syptoms went away anyways.

"Amber?" I called out, "Amber, please..."

Then I saw it. My throat closed up - did my heart just rise up in my throat so I would choke and die? I'm pretty sure.

Amber. Archer. Arms. Amber's and Archer's arms around each other.

"You gotta be freaking kidding me!" I yelled to myself. Turning, I pounded my fist into the first inanimate thing I could find.

"You think I'm that shallow!?" I yelled at her, "There are worse things than that, Amber! You don't even know!" Yes. Things like, I don't know, having to go through seizures for the rest of your life because of a stupid motorcycle accident? My whole life is changed and she thinks I'd think poorly of her because of her eye colors. Tears burned my eyes, and I held them back - I thought that out of everyone here, she'd understood me better than that.

Sliding my pills from my pocket, and shook one out and swallowed it. No seizure. Not happening. Not now. Not today.

Storming to the beach, I cursed myself for actually thinking Amber and I might have a chance.

Archer

After a while, Archer and Amber had a hot, sloppy make-out. Or at least, that’s what Archer would have preferred to what actually happened.

There were two things Archer loved more than anything: sugar and sweet talking’ the ladies. Usually, that got him in trouble. He’d certainly lost more than one friendship and made more than enough enemies because of it. Now was probably the beginning stage of one of those situations.

While he was trying to decide if Amber really didn’t mind if he bit her, he looked up to see one of his lifelong pals fuming. Archer stepped away, when Hudson started yelling and hitting things. At first he was confused until he realized how what they had been doing could have been interpreted.

Hudson was crazy about Amber, He knew that much and would never purposely try to steal her away. He’d flirt, sure, but that was just because it was his main form of communication. Heck, he flirted with guys too, as long as he didn’t hate them. Honestly, Archer would never dream of dating any of the summer house girls, he thought of them too much like sisters.

Amber looked off into the direction Hudson had ran in, Archer sighed. ‘Well,’ he thought, if those two don’t work it out them-selves, he guess he’d just have to do it for them.

Things like this was what prevented Archer from ever having (or wanting, he loved the ladies, no doubt, but he’d also seen all the drama relationships caused.) a girlfriend in the first place.
“Man.” Archer grumbled to himself, “it’s hard being this incredibly charming.”

Anne

Anne, you can't just stand here, follow your brother! He decided to push you out of there. Now, its your chance.

I grinned to my thoughts and ran back inside. I was looking for his hair mainly because I can recognize his hair anytime. Then, I saw Hudson again running to the kitchen, and he stood there. Startled at what he had seen. I frowned and Lola was growling a little. I decided to stay behind the stairs and see what was happening.

Then, I did. Amber and Archer, arm to arm. It looked like they were deeply in love. I frowned harder this time, as I saw poor Hudson yelling at her. I knew he cared for her. And all this is because of Archer. I had to talk to my brother. As, Hudson stormed out, I wanted to talk to Mae first. God, where the bloody hell was she when I needed her?

I came out of the house, shocked just as same as Hudson. I walked a little up, and saw the same color hair as mine.

MAE!

I ran up the sand, my legs burning because of the hot sun but I had to reach her, somehow. She was next to Howie, whose nose had bruises. I also saw a tall girl and boy just leaving them after their pep talk. Mae saw and smiled wide as she waved at me. I went up to her and started talking as soon as possible.

"Mae, I need to talk to you." I said, grabbing her wrist and dragging her to a corner.

Mae, frowned and rolled her eyes. "What is it now, Anne?"

"Its Archer, that's what."

Mae looked at me, straight. "Shoot."

"You know, Amber and Hudson. They were getting along so fine, and then comes our brother to stop them. Hudson saw them hugging and it almost looked like they were making out! This is all wrong, Mae. We have to stop him!" I said, squeaking a little.

"Anne, you know Archer. He is like that. Ladies' man."

"BUT WE CAN'T DO THAT TO HUDSON! HE'S HURT! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND, MAE?" I said, shouting at the top of my voice that I think Howie heard it.

"Shh. Calm down, will ya?" Mae said, covering my mouth and leaving it after a few seconds. "Okay, we'll go talk to him, alright?"

"We're going NOW." I said and I didn't care what Mae thought as I took hold of her hand and made my way to the kitchen or where ever he was now.

I know you said he went outside, but I realized it AFTER I finished the post. >.<

Amber "Am"

After punching a few things rather hard, Hudson stormed down the hallway into the room he shared with Archer and shut the door with a loud slam. My arms fell from Archer, and I pressed my weight back to flat feet, backing up into a tall chair someone had left out. Archer was there for me this time, but it had always been Hudson that was there for me. Hudson was the real knight in shining armor, but I always took it for granted. Kiss Archer? My mind reeled, I'd never really been interested in Archer in that way, what had changed that so quickly?

I stumbled against the chair, my foot getting caught, causing me to trip over my own feet. My ankle twisted on the way down. Why had I agreed to come down here? Archer leaned forward to help me up, but I protested by forcing myself to a standing position. My ankle hurt, but that didn't matter at the time. Archer said something to me as I stepped up the stairs, my foot catching on a few.

The door was labeled with the names of the inhabitants, and I stopped in front of Hudson's. The names Archer and Hudson were scrawled in a swirly cursive writing in a dark gold color against the white of paper. "Hudson?" I began, hoping for an answer. When he didn't reply, I went on. "Hudson, I don't understand what's going on." Tears were filling my eyes for the second time tonight

Mae:

"Mae, I need to talk to you." Anne said, grabbing my wrist and starting to drag me away from Howie, Chance, and Opal.

Rolling my eyes, I asked, "What is it now, Anne?"

"Its Archer, that's what."

"Shoot."

"You know, Amber and Hudson. They were getting along so fine, and then comes our brother to stop them. Hudson saw them hugging and it almost looked like they were making out! This is all wrong, Mae. We have to stop him!" she said, her voice squeaking.

"Anne, you know Archer. He is like that. Ladies' man."

"BUT WE CAN'T DO THAT TO HUDSON! HE'S HURT! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND, MAE?" She shouted loud enough for the whole beach to hear.

"Shh. Calm down, will ya?" I said, covering her mouth, "Okay, we'll go talk to him, alright?"

"We're going NOW." She said, taking my hand and heading to the house to find Archer.

Hudson:

"God, why won't these stupid pills work? They'll kill me from overdosing before they prevent a seizure!" I muttered to myself.

Sure technically they were supposed to be taken aftera seizure. But it should work the same, right?

"Hudson?" I heard Amber ask through the door.

I sat there, staring at the door. I was on the verge of a seizure, not sure how well it'd work out.

She went on. "Hudson, I don't understand what's going on."

I could hear the tears in her voice. Tears of my own threatened.

Taking a deep breath, I stood up, I made my way to the door, swung it open, grabbed her by her shoulder, and pulled her inside the room. Quickly shutting the door, I ignored her worried look. I probably looked like crap, I'd punched things, and I'd yelled at her.

"What is it Amber?" I asked, my hands begining to shake.

Lola growled, warning me. I ignored her.

"Hudson-" Amber started, cut off by Lola's bark.

"Lola!" I shouted, "I'm fine!" I got a growl in response.

Turning back to Amber, I said, "Amber, do you really think I'm so shallow I'd care what color your eyes are?"

Lola bit lightly on my hand, prompting me to leave. Biting down on my lip, I grabbed Lola by her collar, opened the door to the bathroom, and forced her in, and closed the door quickly behind her.

"Hudson, what are you doing? I don't understand!"

Taking a deep breath, I said, "Sometimes life deals you out some pretty crappy cards. Eye color is not one of them."

Running over to my bed I lifted the matress, which I kept Lola's service dog certifications and tags under. Pulling them out, I shoved them at Amber.

"Lola is a service dog. I got her after my accident. That's why she never leaves my side, and that's why she doesn't act like a normal dog." Taking my pills from my pocket, I tossed them to her. "Get two of these out and give them to me after - you'll know when."

My breathing shortened, the room seemed to heat up, and my vision blurred a bit

Amber's eyes widened, and I knew she didn't understand. But she would.

"Let Lola in before you give me my meds - she knows how to handle it. Whatever you do, do not touch me, do not move me, and do not tell anyone."

Placing a shaking hand on her shoulder, I said breathlessly, "Amber, I liked your eyes. And I'm..."

I didn't get a chance to finish telling her "I'm sorry" before the seizure started.

*AAAAAAAAAAAAGH! CAN'T KEEP UP! AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!*

Oly sat on the beach still as around him confusion reigned. He'd barely noticed the arrival of the new people, or the drama with Amber's eye.
All he could think about was, How did they know?
How did BROWN, for goodness sake, know? Oly didn't think he could be THAT obvious... Well, if he was then Eve must be able to tell. Which meant that she didn't care... Oly was getting thoroughly depressed.
He looked up and noticed his sister, out with one of her kites. She was very talented, he thought as he saw her complete a successful nose-dive.
"Not bad." he said.
"Thanks. How's the chaos back at the house going?"
"What chaos?"
"You know, Hudson- Amber- Archer, Amber's eye, Molly-and-Brown, the new kid getting hit in the face..."
Oly stared at her blankly. Maybe he wasn't the only one having a bad day.
"I think I'll go and see... See you later, Sammy."
Oly unicycled back to the house. What on earth was going on?

Anne

We ran across the hall, my hand tight around Mae's. I think Howie was following us or something. I don't know because the next thing I knew was flying past him. We bumped into Lore just that moment.

Great. Just great! Great timing, Mom!

I looked at her, and gave her a weak smile. Mae was pretty good at pretending and she gave her a cheerful smile, nudging me. I looked at her and back at mom. Mom looked at us, giving us both a tricky smile. She shrugged.

"You both seem in a hurry. Well, I'm not getting in the way." she said, and left.

"Well? Are we just going to stand here till Christmas or are we going to find him?" Mae asked.

I nodded and continued walking fast as possible. Then, we saw him. At the same place where he stood, when I saw him last. Amber gave us a look and passed us. I looked at him, my head fuming that I almost could hit him. I controlled myself and we walked up to him.

"Hey! How are my sisters' doing? Getting along fine?" Archer asked, and planting a grin on his face.

"Cut the talk, Archer." I said, annoyed as ever. "What was going on with Amber and you?"

"Of course, I never did anything. We were just talking, you know, just comforting her as she was upset about her eye color." Archer said.

Mae looked at me, expecting me to say something but I was shocked. I couldn't control it anymore as my anger busted away.
"HOW DARE YOU? How can you lie to me like that?!" I said, screaming at him.

Archer has never lied to me. He knew very well that I hated people who lie. "How can you...?"

Mae stopped a hand on my shoulder, and I looked at her that I almost could cry. I don't know why I ever hated people who lie to me but I've hated them than anything else in this World. And now, its my brother who was lying. I closed my eyes, breathing heavily.

"Anne saw everything, Archer. Spill it." Mae said, just as angry as me. "She saw you guys hugging and making out. You hurt poor Hudson. Do you even--"

"NO!"

The three of us heard a bad scream from above. I knew it was Amber. What was ever wrong? We looked at each other and ran up the stairs, and saw Amber standing in Hudson's room. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Bloody hell!

Amber was on her knees, crying. Lola was whining next to him as Hudson was on the floor, struggling. His seizure had struck him. I glanced at Archer, who had gone pale and Mae's eyes worried. I saw Eve, Howie and Sullivan coming up the stairs. Sullivan stared at him, wide-eyed. He ran out of the room.

"MOM!" he yelled, running down the stairs.

Archer

Once Sullivan had fetched his mother, everyone had been ushered into the living room. Right now might not have been the best time, but Archer wanted to make something extremely clear. He turned to his youngest sister, who still had a hurt look in her eyes.

“I did not lie. Amber was upset, so just like I would do with either of you, I helped her. I wanted to let her know that we’re a family no matter what might happen, because we are. That’s it. Amber is a nice, pretty girl, but I have no desire to date her. Hudson or no Hudson. Let me very clear so we can avoid confusion, I don’t date and I will most likely never date. There is little chance I’ll fall in love with anyone, much less any of the summer house girls.” When he was done with his rant, Archer smiled and patted Anne’s head,

“All of ‘em are like younger sisters nothing less, nothing more, okay? Sorry I scared you, Anne.” Archer resigned himself with the thought that he’d probably die alone, after eating himself to death.

Didn't see Archer's post--can I still do this?

Ash

I had been coming to the summer house for practically my whole life, and I'd never seen it this chaotic before. Half the kids were missing, our moms were nowhere to be seen, and there were really loud shouts coming from upstairs, accompanied by Lola's barking. Had something happened to Hudson? Lola rarely ever barked, but when she did...

"Hudson!" I called. "Hudson, you okay?" Hudson didn't reply. Lola's barking got louder and louder.

Then a horrible scream rang through the house--Amber. "NO!!!"

I took off running. "Becks!" I shouted. She would know what to do for Hudson. I started up the stairs, taking them two at a time. I had to get whoever was up there out of the way, to keep Hudson safe.

As I sprinted up the stairs, the shouting grew louder and louder. I could pick out people's voices now--Amber was still screaming, along with Archer, Anne, Mae, Eve, Howie, Shaun, and Sullivan. Shaun's voice rose above the rest--it sounded like he had just walked in on the chaotic scene. I could hear the end of his previous conversation. "Well, of course she slapped you--holy crap!"

"Get out of the way!" I shouted. I pushed off the wall and sprinted up the last flight of stairs. "Give him some space!" I was almost there--just a few more steps--

Then I slammed right into something--Sullivan, on his way down the stairs. With no time to react, my feet flew out from under me, and I hit my head on the steps. The next thing I knew, I was flipping head over heels, the stairway flashing by in a blur. I tucked my head in and tried to stop myself, but I already had too much momentum. I tumbled all the way to the bottom of the stairs, finally coming to a stop on the area rug in the living room.

It took a few seconds for my vision to focus again. When I looked up, I saw Oly. He had just walked in, and was staring at me, his eyes so wide they looked like they'd popped out of his head.

I got slowly to my feet and turned to face Oly. "And that's the problem with having lots of inertia," I said. My words came out slurred, though. Then Oly started to blur, and the entire room lurched to the side. I staggered backward and flopped onto the couch. I hadn't ever been this dizzy. I put a hand to my head to steady myself, but felt something wet. I looked at my hand--it was stained red. "Crap," I muttered.

"How the hell did everyone even get up here?" I demanded from my mother, refusing my pills until she gave me an answer.

With a sigh, she replied, "All I know is that Sullivan came running for me, I got here, a bunch of them were in here, and I shooed them away. Your sister is bleeding because she fell down the stairs trying to get to you, and half of the people down there are worried sick about you."

Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath, "That's why I didn't want anyone to know."

Sighing, I opened my eyes and accepted my pills from my mother. After taking them, I stood up and muttered, "Gotta face them sooner or later."

Before mom could respond or stop me, I was out my bedroom door and climbing down the stairs, Lola sticking to my side. When I reached the bottom, I hung on to the railing and looked at everyone. They all stared back. Amber was still clutching Lola's service dog tags and certification. Ash was bandaged. Eve looked like she was on the verge of passing out. Archer kind of smiled at me.

Giving them all a crooked smile, I asked, "You guys didn't eat all the purple popsicles while I was gone, did you?"
