Spoiler
Starting now, just because it's getting late and I've gotten nothing from enjoyingisanity. @enjoyinginsanity: You may still join, if you'd like.

Spoiler
We are starting with showing up at the house! Eeeeeee, yeah, get excited!!

Hudson

Lola's panting has been driving Sullivan, Ash, and mom crazy. Coming from Chicago, Lola isn't used to the heat, and she's been practically dying from it.

Stroking Lola's golden fur, I mumbled, "It's okay Lola, you'll get used to it soon. I promise."

"Talking to yourself again are we, Hudson?" Ash teased, tossing a popsicle at me.

Eagerly, I ripped it open, only to be utterly disappointed, "Really, Ash? Red?"

"You've had three purple ones, Hudson," Sullivan laughed from his lounged position on the arm chair. Then he added, "In the past half hour."

Mom rushed by, her short blonde hair splaying behind her as she yelled, "They're here!"

The three of us shot up and followed mom out the door, Lola by my side, to see...

*anyone's family :) Just keep one rolling after the other.*

Mae:

"Ew, Shaun!" I yelled, smacking his arm and pushing him away from me, "You're so disgusting!"

Shaun stuck his tongue out at me, and before he could get a word in mom cheered, "We're here!"

Everyones heads snapped up, and we all leapt from the car before it even stopped and ran towards the house.

"Lore!" Becks shouted, running for the car.

Mom jumped out and ran for Lore. The two smashed into each other in a hug, laughing like teenage girls.

"Archer, Mae, Shaun, Ann!" Sullivan, Hudson, and Ash yelled simultaneously.

Eve

Smoothing down the dress she had spent ages making, Eve couldn’t help but be nervous. Sure, she had known these people since infancy but in the past few years, they had become practical strangers.

This year though, she had sworn she would finally get over her crippling shyness and learn how to talk freely with everyone. That’s why she had obsessed over making this dress after all, according to her favorite fashion blogger, a first impression is always important.

Eve got out of her Mother’s car very carefully, making sure not to muss a single white shell she had painstakingly sewn onto the fabric.
Now on her feet she concentrated on walking confidently towards the house. That is, until a small cat ran across her path, making her face-plant into the sand.

Eve raised her face to see her little brother Brown staring down at her. “Hey Brown, on average, how long is the average life span of a female in the US?”

“78.5 years. Why?” He asked helping his sister up.

“Just seeing how long I have until I can literally just curl up in a ball and die.” Eve responded wiping the sand off her face, and swallowing her embarrassment.

Spoiler
(Yay! super excited!)

Sullivan

Approaching Eve, I stopped about a foot away from her. She looked up at me, and I think I saw a flush of pink in her cheeks.

Giving her a crooked smile, I offered her my hand. After a moment of hesitation, she accepted my hand.

Pulling her up, I wrapped my other arm around her in a hug, "Nice to see you again, Eve." Glancing at her dress, which I knew she made herself, I added, "Nice dress."

Reaching up to my neck, I pulled off my seashell necklace - just a white and pink shell I found two days ago on the beach and put on a piece of string - and shoved it into her hand. "It matches. Besides, you like pink, right?"

With that, I turned on my heel and ran over to the group that was growing larger and larger.

Eve
Now, Eve wasn’t a girl who got crushes. In fact, she couldn’t remember ever having a crush on anyone. Sure, she had “boyfriends” in kindergarten and first grade back when she considered herself cute, but everyone went through that phase.
She had been swearing up and down her entire life that no she did not like Sullivan! Sure she thought he was cute and nice, and that his name was adorable, but that’s normal, right? You can’t have a crush on someone you barely speak to, she could count the number of time she’d had a real conversation with him in the past few years on her fingers! Although, that was definitely Eve’s fault.

It wasn’t a crush. It was admiration. Sure he was smart; at least that’s what she gathered from her Mom’s telephone calls with his mom. But that wasn’t what she admired. Sullivan was amazing, at least to Eve. He could be quiet and keep to himself, and then in an instance he could just say something and make everyone laugh.

Eve didn’t want to change herself; she just wanted to be confident. She wanted the ability that Sullivan had. In fact, that had been part of her summer plan, to stick to him (at a distance) and observe his technique.

So it wasn’t a crush, still Eve couldn’t help her cheeks from becoming as pink as the shell on her new necklace.

My internet decided to spazz out yesterday with our new motom. >.<

Name:Amber "Am" King

Gender: Female

Child Of: Soph King

Age: 17

Personality: Amber is probably the crazy one in the King family, she's outgoing and playful like her mother, always laughing and giggling. Often, she makes a face by wrinkling her face, or she wiggles her nose like a bunny. Am is your average rocker chick and isn't afraid to show it. Everytime you see Amber, she is most likely moving around or dancing. She's a very musical person so she's always singing or playing an instrument. Amber loves to try new things and will certainly try to talk you into trying something with her. Some people find her to outgoing, and tend to shy away from her. The truth is, even if you don't like her, she'll still treat you like everyone else, unless you give her a big reason not to. She absolutely loves spontaneous things, and loves to do the unexpected.

Appearance (written and pic.): Everything about Amber is odd, from her multiple tattoos, to her odd colored eyes. Amber stands about five foot three, and a half with a milky smooth complexion and hair that easily reaches her lower chest and is so brown, it sometimes looks black. She has a bright smile and her eyes are undoubtedly the strangest thing about her. Amber was named for her golden brown eye, her other eye, is green, however. Only her parents know about her condition, and brought her to get a brown contact for multiple reasons. Amber's eyes don't quite match because of this, and you can tell if you look really close. She also has a tounge and a bellybutton piercing.
Spoiler
ImageImagesort of like this.Image

Home town: New York, New York.

Skills/strengths: Amber has been playing piano and singing since she was six, and she is pretty decent at a few other instruments. She is bilingual, she speaks English and French. She always has a lot of energy, and is great at making people smile. She is an avid runner, and is very fast; she also has taken gymnastics for ten years. Her favorite sport is volleyball, she loves to watch, and play it. She absolutely LOVES animals and doesn't have one, because then she would want more.

Flaws/Weaknesses She doesn't know how to swim. Yes, it sounds strange, but ever since she got her contact, she hasn't got in the water in fear someone will see her strange condition. Amber also is a HORRIBLE driver, how she got her lisense is unknown. She has a really high metabolism from being so active, which is a good thing most of the time, but she has to eat way more than the average girl her size to stay healthy.

Up for love?: Sure!

Sammy Gunn

"Put down the water gun, Sam." Oly glared at me, and I sighed deeply for a moment, then turned and squirted a small spray of water on him. We had only just arrived at the house, and I had been jokingly plotting to ambush the others. I decided not too, if only on the basis of making a good first impression. Oly, however, had been an easy target.

"Really?" He demanded, looking down at his shirt.

"You had a big target," I pointed to my stomach, "right here." I laughed, and saw he wasn't returning my lighthearted move.

"I didn't like that at all." His voice was cold, and instantly put a damper on my mood. Determined not to let that ruin my day, I pranced over to where Molly was clutching my kites in her small arms.

"Haha, no." I pulled them out of her arms, "I'll take care of these. Though I apreciate the effort," I added the last part quickly, reminding myself I was trying to get on her good side. She constantly snooped around in what wasn't hers to snoop in, and I was trying to stop that before it started.

I walked to where the rest of the families were gathering, and smiled widely. I was looking foward to this.

Amber "Am" King

We were here! Finally! They long journey seemed to take forever. Over the years, the house remained the same, but it never ceased to amaze me. I hopped out of the car eagerly walking, no, more like skipping to the trunk. I was so excited for this summer, the year where everyone was grown up and ready for adventures, and God knows I love adventures.

There was only a few things that always put me on edge about being here. One, I could never bring my piano, for it was far to big to fit anywhere but inside a house. Two, My eyes, I could never go in the water, even if I did risk it, I couldn't swim, I would spend my time playing music beside the pool in a chair, or playing volleyball with some of the others on the sidelines. Lastly, the food. There was hardly ever enough food to go around, which would result in a horrible trip to the store.

I forced the trunk open, and practically dived inside, grabbing my guitar case first, and swinging it around my shoulder. Instead of lifting the clothes from the back, I grabbed my large beach-side bag. Rather than having the basics inside, the bag was mostly filled with food, food that I wouldn't be putting in the pantry. I nearly dropped the bag when I turned around, realizing how much everyone's changed in the last year. The guys were cuter, the girls were more beautiful, and I was the only one with tattoos.

I thought back to last year, how much more awkward I was. It was amazing how much someone can grow up in a year. Every other year, I would wear goggles whenever I even came close to the pool. I was determined not to this year. I hadn't gotten any taller, but this year I looked more mature, I had lost weight and my face had change in such small ways that made such a big difference.

My face lit up instantly when I saw some of my favorite people I only get to see during the hot summer. Instantly I saw a new addition to out summer family, a burnt orange dog, with matching eyes. I rushed over and squatted down beside the dog, scratching between it's ears, smiling as I did. Then I spotted baby pink hi-tops, and recognized Hudson instantly. Standing up, I embraced him in a hug without a second thought.

"Hudson!" I said in the middle of the hug. "Who's your little friend?" I added, scrunching my nose for a second during my smile. That's when It hit me. I'd missed everyone so much more than I thought. This summer was going to be great.

Hudson:

Amber rushed over and squatted down beside Lola, scratching between her ears, a huge smile on her face. Her eyes switched to my feet, and her face lit up. Amber suddenly stood up and before I knew it our arms were wrapped around each other.

"Hudson! Who's your little friend?" She asked, scrunching her nose.

Giving her a crooked smile, I ruffled her hair and planted a kiss on her cheek, "This is my Lola! I got her after last summer after....you know. My accident." Then I added a lie, "Mom let me get her because it would keep me off of motorcycles." Feeling guilty, I added a piece of truth, "She goes everywhere with me. Literally. She tries to go into the bathroom."

Looking her over, I beamed, "Amber, nice tattoos!" I leaned closer and whispered, "I've been trying to get one, but mom would flip. I'm thinking about getting one while we're here, over at Skinz. You should come with me."

Clapping her on the shoulder, I turned to everyone else. We'd known each other since before we were born, and she was more beautiful than ever this year. No way I could get a crush on her now - I'd smothered it for years.

"Hey guys!" I yelled out to everyone, "I've already eaten all the grape popsicles! And we bought three boxes. Yesterday."

Amber "Am" King

I had to admit, ever since we were little I have loved Hudson's crooked smile. Every year it had the same effect on me. It always made smile back. But this year, there was something about him that was different. This time, when he smiled his known crooked smile, I had to stop myself from blushing with all my might. It took me a second to realize what had just happened after Hudson kissed my cheek. Why was I so suddenly fascinated with Hudson? It was him, Purple popsickle eating, cooking, surfing Hudson that we had all known for years.

"Amber, nice tattoos!" He said, noticing my arms and snapping me out of my thoughts."I've been trying to get one, but mom would flip. I'm thinking about getting one while we're here, over at Skinz. You should come with me." Hudson? With a tattoo? My mind wrapped around the idea, making me smile even larger, which was quite difficult at this point.

"Hey guys! I've already eaten all the grape popsicles! And we bought three boxes. Yesterday." He turned to everyone. The purple popsicles certainly were a competition between everyone at this point. I was pretty sure that everyone wanted to eat a purple popsicle before he could get to it, but of course, that never happened.

I used this time to turn my face to him and stick my tounge out. I was purposely showing him my purple tounge, and my new piercing. Right before we arrived at the house, mother decided to stop by the store for snacks, just incase. Ironically, I picked up popsicles, payed for them, and put them in my bag before the others could see what I chose. When they asked for one, I lied and told them I only bought one. Yeah, It's possible to buy one popsicle. I thought sarcastically at the time. I was surprised my braniac brother hadn't noticed.

Brown

‘This was it’ Brown thought smoothing his hair down after checking to see if Eve was alright. Only a few months ago, he’d officially become a teenager. His first summer as teenager. A grin stretched across his face. Yeah, he was ready to affirm himself as one of the guys. Brown was the youngest of all the guys and ready to prove himself. Best way to do that? Be smooth with the ladies. He walked around to the back of the family car and pulled out a small bouquet of flowers.

He looked up to see Molly’s older sister pulling her cherished kites out of her arms. He smiled again and began jogging toward Molly.

As Soph watched her son trip on his own shoe lace, sliding across the ground a few feet, she couldn’t help but think he was a lot more alike with his sister than he’d like to admit.

Brown lifted his face, which was covered in sand, only to see Molly staring down at him. He gave a weak smile and held the flowers, which were still mostly intact, up to her.

“Sorry they only came in pink or purple, since I know your favorite color is Brown” He said giving her a wink. Oh yeah, he thought to himself, ‘I’m smooth like a butter coated seal on a water slide.’

Ash

"Shaun!" I shouted. I ran forward at full tilt and grabbed Shaun in a bear hug, nearly knocking him off his feet. "Mae! Hi, you guys!" I hugged Mae, too. She was so light that I could lift her off the ground.

"Mae, your hair's wet," I observed.

"I think we all know who did that," Mae said, scowling at Shaun in mock annoyance. "Never give that kid a water bottle. ...Or anything wet or gooey, for that matter."

"Oh! Guys," I began, just remembering what I was going to say. "About the purple popsicles...who votes we gang up on Hudson before he eats them all?"

"I do!" Shaun exclaimed, jumping up and down. "But I can't promise a huge show. It's only the beginning of the summer; I've gotta save my best stuff for later."

"Cool," I chuckled. "We'll have to do that sometime tomorrow; he's probably eaten all of them by now. He's already had three, and I think there are only four of them in those boxes anyway..." For some reason, I thought of Hudson eating four purple popsicles at once--one in each hand and two in his mouth--and I doubled over laughing.

"Ash!" Mae gasped, her eyebrows shooting up in horror. "What happened to your arm?!"

"What, this?" I asked, pointing to my latest bruise. "This is nothing. Just a little collision. You should've seen the one I had last week! I got hit with the bat on this guy's follow-through, and by the end of the night, my entire left eye was turning purple. Like, purple popsicle purple."

Oly Gunn

Oly sighed as he walked away from his sister, towards the now complete group. He realised he'd upset Sammy. He hadn't meant to- he'd never do anything to deliberately upset her... it was just the way he was. Not very good with people. Not like Sammy, who was already chatting away animatedly.
Only one other person seemed on the outside of the circle- Eve. He smiled at her but she didn't notice. She was staring into the circle at... Oly sighed. He knew Eve had eyes for Sullivan only, however hard she denied it to herself. It didn't stop him wishing though, admiring her individuality, her...
She glanced in his direction, as if suddenly realising.
She blushed. She knows I know, thought Oly.
He jumped aboard his unicycle and pedalled over to her.
"Hiya- you alright?" he asked, leaping off and catching the vehicle deftly under one arm, "You're looking nice."

Hudson

Sullivan, Ash, Mom, and I started to pull bags out of cars. As I grabbed a bag thqt was obviously Amber's, mom sung, "Everyone get your stuff and your butts inside! I've spent all day cooking Fishermen's stew! Mussels, fish, lobster, the works!"

Everyone dispersed, grabbing bags and heading inside to their rooms.

"Beware!" I yelled out, "I helped!"
