I nod, doing as he says, and my eyes turn back to Green. I run a hand through my hair, my eyes drooping slightly, and feel like I'm going to double over.

Jackie

I watch him before going after him, getting there before he shuts the door. I shut the door behind us and swallow again, closing my eyes for a second, "I'm sorry. I'll pay you back. Promise, I'll get a job, I'll get the money," I cross my arms, "I'll make up all the money."

Jace

I study Rayah, feeling as if she's going through something, "You alright, Ray?"

I shake my head and look at her, pinching the bridge of my nose, "Just forget about it, Jacks. It's a stupid car. Just forget about it."

Rayah

I nod slightly, holding onto him to catch balance, and take a deep breath, "Just need to calm down."

Jackie

"B-But..." I sense he doesn't want to talk, so I take a step back and nod, looking away before opening the door and walking out. Once I do, I go to Halee's room to check on her and find her sound asleep. I sigh, closing the door to her room again, and walk to the computer room, plopping down in the chair to check my Facebook.

Don't bother him, Jacks. He'll just get even more mad if you keep arguing.

Jace

I nod and scoop her up, carrying her to the counter and sitting her down.

She leaves and my heart sinks, feeling as if I've done something wrong. After a few more minutes, my anger subsides and I walk into Halee's room. I flash a smile at her and make sure her little blanket covers her before setting out to find Jackie. She's in the computer room when I find her, silent as she looks over her Facebook. Sighing, I sneak up behind her and drape my arms around her shoulders from behind.

"I'm sorry," I whisper, kissing her cheek, "It's a car, a stupid thing to get mad over. Next time I do, kick me. There's no reason I should get mad at you. I love you too much."

Rayah

Taking my head in my hands, I sigh and take deep breath and just lay down on it, my eyes fully green now.

Jackie

Nic comes and wraps his arms around my shoulders, apologizing, and I sigh, looking through my friends' photos, "It's fine," I shrug, "You should be mad at me for it. I didnt ask you first."

Jace

I watch Rayah, setting one of my arms underneath her head when she lies down, and sigh.

I sigh and study her, "I don't want to be mad at you."

Rayah

I open one of my eyes and flash a half smile, "What's up?"

I glance back at him, commenting on a picture of me and my friend on her birthday before answering , "Then don't."

Jace

I flash a smile back and shake my head, "I honestly don't even know."

I glance away for a moment, taking a deep breath. When I look back at her, I don't know what to say. Instead of words, I kiss her cheek again and stand up straight.

"If it was that simple, I don't think I would have gotten mad at you in the first place," I mumble, "How good does that car drive anyway?"

Rayah

I smile, "I forgot to tell you...didn't I?"

I nod, spinning around in my chair to face him, "Great. Got a job."

Jace

I study her, "No...What is it?"

What? No... I don't... Ugh. How do I tell her I don't want her working? That's my responsibility...to provide.

"W-what about Halee?" I ask.

"Since Riley and Logan are going to preschool soon...tommarow's the first day of school, My mom offered me a part time job. Pays $100 bucks a week," I nod, jumping off the counter and opening the microwave, the pizza ready.

"Preschool," I smile, "You know the first day of school is tommarow....right?"

I remain expressionless, trying to think of something to say, "Uh...great...I guess."

I think about it before shaking my head slowly, "No...I don't know everything, unfortunately."

I nod slowly, "Uh...Yeah..." I lose my smile, sliding back on the counter, "You okay with that?"

I sigh and cross my arms, "I'm going to go...veg out and do guy things. Don't kill me if I wake Halee."

I nod, "I need something to keep me busy. Modeling is fun...right?" I shrug, getting a knife to cut the pizza, "My mom says I'd be perfect for it."
