I shake my head at myself, sighing, and try to calm down and think rationally about this.

She...wouldn't have been okay with it, right? I mean.. she would have said something about not being comfortable with it...right?

I kiss Jackie's cheek and scoop Halee up, flashing a smile at her, "What's up, pumpkin?"

Rayah

Riley and Logan look at me like they want some and I flash a smile, "Fine," I give them each a little spoon and they don't really know what to do with it. I sigh and put mine down, feeding them, "Yummy, huh?" They giggle an nod.

Jackie

I smile at them and She giggles, touching his face.

Jace

I take a deep breath and stand, walking out of the office and to the front door. Rayah doesn't say anything, as if I'm the one that did something wrong, so I don't say anything either. I walk out and head off to the trail leading to my secret place. It's further away than before, keeps moving for some reason, but it doesn't take long running. I break into a sprint and take off, blocking out the rest of the world.

I smile and let her touch my face, leaning against the wall.

Rayah

Jace leaves and I sigh, pulling out my phone and calling Jackie, "Hey I um...I need to talk to you. Like. Now," I whisper into it.

Jackie

Rayah calls me and sounds like she's almost crying, asking me to come over. I don't hesitate, looking over at Nic, "Rayah needs me to come over," I tell him, "There's something she wants to talk to me about."

Jace

I get to the spot and sit there a while, just thinking. When my thoughts become to much, I set out in search of the ultimate numbing ingredient. I reach the bar and sit in the darkest spot, ordering whatever will make me forget.

Nic

I get one of those feelings in my gut, like someone was hurt or troubled, but ignore it. Nodding at Jackie, I look back at Halee, "I've got this. Go ahead."

Rayah

I wait for Jackie, still eating the ice cream out of the carton, and look up when she gets here. She plops next to me, watching me, "What's up?"

I shrug, "We uh...we're in a fight..."

She swallows, "What about?"

I tell her everything and she sighs, thinking, "I would apologize," she says, "Make it up to him."

Jackie

God...this isn't good.

After hearing everything, I sigh and think, "I would apologize. Make it up to him."

She shrugs, looking down, "I'm giving him the silent treatment."

I'm not playing Jace until he comes home. Just assume he's drinking to his heart's content. Lol

Nic

I finish dinner and feed Halee before eating, turning her favorite show on and watching her.

Lol. I'm not playing Rayah 'cause I could just explain what she says in Jackie's post's...until Jace comes home.

Jackie

"Where Is he?" I ask, standing.

She shrugs, "He left like thirty minutes ago."

"Ugh...Rayah.." I run a hand through my hair.

She looks down again, swallowing, "What?"

"You should've gone after him."

Nic

Her show ends and she comes up to me, wanting me to pick her up. I place her in my lap and she curls up, closing her eyes.

Well...that was easy.

Jackie

Thirty minutes pass and I try to calm her, telling her to stay calm, before she finally does.

I sigh, "I've gotta go back to Nic."

She looks over at me, nodding, "Okay. Thanks."

I nod and stand, walking back to my house.

Jace

The bartender cuts me off, calling me a cab. I shake him off and call my brother instead. He doesn't answer and I swear, being squished into the cab and forced home. When i get there, my drunken fingers fumble to slip the key in the lock, only to realize that it was never locked in the first place. I open the door and close it behind me, leaning against the wall to compose myself.

I stay where I am, astounded by the stupidity being taught to preschoolers through the T.V. Shaking my head, I shut it off and sigh, resting my eyes for a moment.

Rayah

I see Jace come home and I stand, walking over and standing infront of him, "I'm sorry."

Jackie

I get home and see both Nic and Halee asleep. Well, atleast with their eyes close. I open the door and sneak in, trying not to make too much noise, and make my way upstairs.

Jace

I squint to recognize Rayah and shake my head at her apology, no words coming to mind. I try to take a step forward but fall instead, chuckling once I'm on the floor.

I hear Jackie come home and sigh, setting Halee in her room and heading up to ours.

Rayah

He shakes his head and tries to step towards me, only to fail epicly and fall instead. I watch him, crouching next to him as he chuckles, "You okay?"

Jackie

I change into sweats and a regular white tee shirt, laying in bed once done. I take out my phone and check my texts, yawning.

Jace

I chuckle and set my head on her shoulder, closing my eyes to keep the room from spinning.

I walk into the room just as Jackie lays down. Flashing a smile, I lay beside her and set my head on her shoulder, "Hey."
