He nods and scribbles it down again. "You're next appointment to make sure everythings going alright is in two months, we should be able to tell the gender by then," He says, turning off the x-ray and removing the thingy from my stomach. He walks out with the papers and I sit up, glancing at Jace.
"Twins." I whisper, sighing.

She walks out without me and I wonder if this is how things will be for now on. Me...left behind. That's always how it's been though. Not much of a change... I stand and catch up with her, holding doors as she walks through them like the gentleman I should have always been.
"If you want them to know, sure," I answer her question.

I nod, studying her, and open the door for her. Nic and Alyx are sprawled out all over the living room, all twelve cans of coke I bought the day before scattered around. Alyx hiccups and chuckles to himself.
"I like this," he says, "It's like...a mind high. What's this called?"
"Caffeine high," Nic chuckles, "'Cept...we aren't so hyper. It works weirdly on us."
"You drank all my soda?" I ask.
They sit up and look at me, Alyx hiccuping again.
"Sorry," he says mid hiccup.
