Mount Olympus

Tahira

I soon hear at the knock at the door, and I hurry downstairs in my heels which was a pain and a half. but sure enough Jace was already talking to my brother and father, they circle him like he was fresh meat.

"Dad, bro quit it! Your going to scare him off!" I said.

They back off from him and soon mom comes down and smiling wide she looks him up and down. I could tell she was doing her best to bit her tougne, I stood next to Jace as she took a picture as I smiled my best for him. As she takes pictures with me and him, as we soon walk to the school.

Rayah

Just as I'm slipping my heels on, there's knock on the door. I finish putting them on before walking...or trying to walk to the door, my brother and mom walking there as well. (my dad was in the Main Court in Olympus.)

We take pictures, smiling wide. Alex wore a black tux, with a black tie, and a pitch black mask. He led me to the school when we're finished and slings an arm around my shoulders.

We soon get there, the lights dimmed, couples dancing. I told Alex I was going to get some punch and told him I'll be right back, walking to were the beverages were.

Jace

Tahira's brother and father circle me like birds of prey and it does nothing to improve my nerves. Tahira comes down and stands at my side, pictures taken. Her mother examines me and I feel like a piece of meat on display.

After the pictures, we head out and start walking to the school. I don't know what to do with small talk so I nervously twine her arm through mine, all elegant like.

Once we get to the school, we find several other couples dancing already.

"Um, want to dance?" I ask Tahira, not good with this kind of stuff.

Tahira

"Sure." I said.

I soon take him by the hand as we hit the dance floor with lots of other people, as we soon dance to a slow song that comes on. As we dance I look dreamly into his eyes, as he looks back at me. I lean in and wait for him to kiss me back.

Rayah

I get the punch and make my way back to Alex, finding him dancing with another girl. My heart drops as he sees me and stops, walking over. "Hey."

"Hey?!" I yell in his face, pouring the punch all over him.

"Have a nice life," I mutter, Smirking at how I just ruined his tux. He looks at me wide-eyed and I just glare at him before walking away and to a table. I sit and sigh.

Ugh. This is why I hate proms.

Jace

Time slows as she leans in. I slowly lean forward, closing my eyes as I remember what my mother had told me.

'A kiss is different for people like us, Jace. Even if you aren't truly one of us, you've been exposed enough to be the same. A kiss is a bond. You're limited to one person for life...'

One person for the rest of my life. One kiss.

Just as our lips are about to touch, someone taps me on the shoulder and shoves me back.

"I'll take over from here, fruitcake," he says, swooping Tahira off into a dance.

I stand there, confused out of my mind. What the hell? Shaking my head, I head off to a set of tables and unknowningly sit at one with another beautiful girl.

Yes, oh, yes. My Queen...

I break from my groupies, letting them attend to the real reason we're here, and head towards the couple just before they kiss. Tapping the guy on the shoulder, I push him away from the girl and replace him.

"I'll take over from here, fruitcake," I say, pulling the girl closer and into a dance.

Once we're away from him, I look into her eyes. Confusion and anger top the emotions that swirl around, which brings about a smirk from me.

"I'm sorry, sparkles. Did you like that guy?" I raise an eyebrow, "'Cause I like you, which makes you my date for the night, whether or not you or the other guy like it. Now, be a doll and pucker those lips for me like you did him."

Tahira

Shocked by this guy taking me from Jace, I didn't like how he did that. Jace was my prom date and I was going to keep to him like my mother always stayed true to dad, no matter there silly arguements at times.

"Yea I'll pucker up for you just close your eyes and.."

He closes his eyes and I curl my fingers, I soon punched him straight to his lips, he staggered back as I walked off trying to find Jace.

Rayah

A cute guy sits next to me and I glance at him, fixing my hair as I do. My mothers words to my dad pop up in my head the first time I set eyes on this guy.


'Loved you once,
Love you still,
Always have,
Always will.'


I swallow and shake my head, looking away. I think I'm going crazy.

Jace

I keep glancing at the girl. Something about her...is so familiar and warm. I run a hand through my hair before scanning the space for Tahira. Not seeing her, I wonder if she'd kill me if I asked for a dance with this girl. Just one dance to figure out who she is. Rayah would have killed me. Definitely. Or...done worse. I shudder at the thought and decide Tahira's wrath couldn't be any different from Rayah's. Standing, I come around to the girl's front and hold a hand out.

"We're just sitting here, wasting our tickets. Dance?"

The girl punches me in the lips and I stumble back, losing grip of her. She scurries off and I swear, hurrying after her. Before she can find Fruitcake again, I wrap my arms around her from behind and trap her.

"C'mon, sparkles, don't be like that," I whisper with a smirk, "It's just a dance. I won't hurt you. That guy's not worthy of the glow you give off. Let me be."

She makes to punch me again and I pin her against the wall, gentle yet authoritarian enough to prove my point.

"You pack a good punch, I'll admit that, sparkles," I say, kissing the side of her face and hovering by her ear, "But I like that. You might like me too. Give it a chance."

Tahira

I think about it quickly, I was starting to like this guy and the power he had behind him. It was, appealing to the least. Exciting at the most, I smile miceviously at him. He does the same as I can see what he was thinking in his eyes.

"I'll think about it, big boy. I like the authority you show but its not enough to coral me, let me go find my date see if I can dump some punch on him before we dance." I said.

Rayah

The guy asks to dance and I glance up at him before hesitating to take his hand. "Sure," I say, walking onto the dancefloor with him. He puts his hands on my waist and I put my arms around his neck as we sway to the music. Something about him... So familiar and cute.

Jace

Something about her... I can't stop thinking that. My arms around her waist and her arms around my neck...It feels right... different. On the look out for Tahira, I find myself entranced in this girl.

One kiss...

I smile and study this girl before hesitantly letting her go. Before she can get far though, I take her hand and make her look at me.

"You're slick," I say, "I'm not letting you out of my sight...not tonight, sparkles."

Rayah

The guy keeps glancing at me and I flash a weak smile. He smiles back and I start to think.

I gotta know who this guy is. Or I am going to explode.

I glance at him and find him staring at me, full-on this time. My smile grows wider and I blush. "What?" I ask, still swaying to the music.

Jace

I lean in before she can say anything else and kiss her, having grabbed her identity from those emerald greens. So much time of wanting to do this...and she still doesn't know. I make sure she realizes I love her through the kiss. Even if she doesn't know who it came from, she deserves to know that.

Tahira

Finding him with that green eyed whitch I undo his mask as it soon falls off, I tap him on the shoulder and throw punch right into his face. He fliches back his hands in his eyes as everyone looks to see whats going on, and I say some really painful words.

"That's what you get for kissing that green eyed whitch! And to think I loved you!" I yell at him.

I soon walk away pretending to cry as I soon run into my new buddy who now glad he took me from Jace waited, he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed looking smuggly at me.

"Its what you thought?" He asks.

"Yep, and now moron is regreting it." I said.
