I leave lunch when I'm finished and walk to study hall, 30 more minutes left until schools over. I walk with my twin sister, Katie, and get to class as she sits next to me, talking about who knows what. I sit as far as I can away from Tahira and focus on Katie, trying to understand whatever she's saying.

I giggle slightly, as he smiles a me I fold my arms as I look and see Rayah comes in shooting me a devils eye as she sits with her sister as far away from me as possible.
"Well I was until you came, and then it was thunderstorms and hurricanes." I said smiling at him.
He looked at me weirdly but soon laughed as he got the joke.

I smile and laugh with her. Thunderstorms and hurricanes.
"You have an interesting sense of humor," I say, sitting back, "None like it."
I sense Rayah enter the room, but don't turn to her. If she wants to play this game, she better not think she's the only player. Whatever her problem is...if she's going to be a b**ch about me choosing who to go to Prom with because I know I can't go with her, it's time for her to meet the a**h*le side of me.

The bell rings and I stand, Katie going to find her friends. I walk out, not wanting to get in a bigger fight with Jace and wait for Alex outside, considering he's one grade higher than me. He comes out and see's me, flashing a smile.
"Sup?" He walks over, crossing his arms. He see's my jaw and takes a step back, realizing how swollen it is.
"Who did this to you?" He asks, glancing around.
I shake my head, "I-It's nothing. Don't worry about it."
He nods and I sigh. "Will you walk me home?" I ask, looking at the floor.
He nods and flashes another smile, taking my books from me. "Ladies first," He twirls me again and I giggle as we start walking.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
We walk out of school as we talk, Jace was an awesome guy. I had dropped all my school books in my locker, and so did he and so we soon found ourselves. I saw Rayah a few feet away with her boyfriend Alex, I could see it in Jace's eyes that he didn't like seeing her with him. I snap my fingers in front of him getting his attention once more as I look at him.
"You alright? You don't seem all that happy about Rayah." I said.

I'm already replaced? Tahira snaps her fingers in front of my face and I look away from Rayah and Alex, who is walking her home like I used to, like I was supposed to. Gus soon catches up with me, but sticks around a few feet behind, afraid of Tahira.
"Yeah, fine," I lie, "It's him I'm not happy about."
She deserves better.
"I just don't like him," I cover myself before she can think anything else about the situation, "But enough about them. Mind if I walk you home?"

He gets me home and I smile wide, taking my books while kissing him on the cheek. "Bye-Bye," I flash a smile and walk in my house, leaving him shocked. He shakes his head with a smirk and starts to walk home. I decide to go to sleep early and plop in bed, yawning.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
I smile and nod, we started talking on the way to my home. Which wasn't saying much since my mom rules Olympus now, the old gods serving under her. We were at the gates as sentries checked us over. And soon I turned to Jace as I'm sure he'll be wanting to head home himself or meet mom and dad maybe even my brother.
"Want to meet my mom and dad or do you want to wait till friday?" I ask.
An angel, a knight, a man who will bring light to where there is only darkness, I am the Morning Star, the Bringer of Light, hail to me as I am King Lucifer!
"Well I think its best we wait until friday, considering I've seen a lot of thunderstorms on the news lately. So see you later I guess." I smile.
I wait at the door to see if I would get a kiss from him, I was slightly nervous since he may have been my prom date but it was a question if I had his heart.

I nod and make to leave only to find her hesitating at the door. Flashing a smile, I walk back up to her and hesitate before planting a kiss on her cheek.
"See you Friday," I say, heading home.
Gus catches up and tugs on my sleeve, reminding me of everything that happened and everything to come...

He kisses me on the cheek and my heart flutters incrediply as he walks off, I practcally melted where I stood. The next few days felt like minutes as we talked, played around, and came close to a real fight with Rayah. Not on the best terms with her, the next thing I know I'm at my dressing table putting on my prom dress with my mask as I spin in place. Mom watches me with a smile as she takes pictures, my brother and father downstairs waiting for Jace to come to the door.
"How do I look?" I ask her.
"Gorgeous, truly my daughter." She said.

Standing before my bathroom mirror, I wonder what I'm doing. Tahira was nice and a great friend, but I can't see her as anything else and I have no clue how to let her know. I dreamed of this night differently four weeks ago. Yet, now, I can't imagine it the way I had. Rayah and I... We haven't talked since our fight in the cafeteria, something I wish we both could have moved past immediately. Didn't happen.
Fixing my tie for the millionth time, I set my mask on and leave the house. Gus follows, dressed up by his owner to fit in at the dance. I reach Tahira's house and knock on the door, my nerves bouncing off the walls. Holding the corsage I'd brought as a custom, I swallow and wait to meet her parents.
