Mount Olympus

Jace

I glance to the beach after she swears and find another guy. Looking back at Rayah, I don't bother holding back my confusion or why she swore at his sudden appearance here.

"What's wrong?" I ask, holding her close, "Who is that guy?"

Rayah

I shake my head, "He's uh...a guy from school," I whisper, "A good friend," I sigh, trying to get out of Trevor's sight.

Jace

I study her and then look back at the "good friend" of hers, "How come I've never seen him around you at school before?"

Rayah

"He's been around me," I say, "He knows almost everything about me, somehow," I say, crossing my arms.

Jace

Um...Can you say stalker?

"I don't like him," I state, "Judging or no judging, I don't."

Rayah

I shake my head, just as he sees me, "RAYAH!" He waves.

I roll my eyes and wave back, forcing a smile.

Jace

I don't glance back at the guy, studying Rayah again, "You going to go talk to him or just hide behind me until he leaves?"

Rayah

I shrug, hiding behind him, "I don't think it's a good idea to go talk to him considering what I'm wearing..." I whisper, wrapping my arms around his torso.

Jace

"Sure as hell isn't a good idea," I mutter, tightening my grip on her.

Rayah

I nod, sighing, and Trevor searches for me, "Rayah! I texted you and you didn't answer!"

Yeah, I know.

I shake my head and try to hide myself.

Jace

I glance back at the guy and decide that he more than likely wouldn't go away on his own. Sighing, I look back at Rayah.

"Tell him you've been busy or something," I whisper, "We have to get going soon and I'd rather not have him see you like this once we get to shore."

Rayah

I nod, "Trevor, I'm busy. Go away," I order. He flashes a smile.

"Fine, hang out later?" He asks, crossing his arms.

I shrug, "Maybe, sure, whatever," I tell him.

He nods and runs off. I let go of Jace and take a deep breath.

Jace

I bite my tongue, not wanting to come off as abrasive for not wanting her to see him, and cross my own arms, floating back a little.

"Like a lost puppy," I mutter, shaking my head and glancing back at shore.

She might see him as a friend, but that tone of voice and eagerness hidden within...He's not on the same page.

Rayah

I check the time, "Sh*t. I'm late," I muttered, running to shore and throwing my shirt and sweats on.

Jace

I follow Rayah to shore and dress again, checking my phone and finding an outrageous amount of texts from Alyx. Shaking my head, I glance up at Rayah.

"Come over later?" I ask, "Or have me come over your house?"
