Mount Olympus

Jace

The water cools down and I let my shield down, exhausted. I jump out of the pool and shake my hair out, shaking uncontrollably from the use of my power and the burns that still lay on my arms.

Rayah

I shiver, my heat not helping me much in this situation, and that the tips of my fingers are...burned. It hurt like hell, unable to believe that somehow I bury myself, and cough up blood again. Jesse looks at Jace, "I'm bringing Rayah to a hospital. This isn't normal," She scoops me up. I don't refuse, too exausted to fight back.

Jace

I nod and stand, following them, "I'm coming with."

She's my life. I'm not leaving her in this....no matter how many burns she gives me.

Rayah

Jesse throws me in the backseat of the car and slams the door shut, jumping in the drivers seat. I swallow, my face going pale, and close my eyes for a minute to calm myself, my body feeling cold.

Jace

Jesse slams the door before I can get in and I stand there a moment, confused. I bite my tongue and reopen the door, sliding in beside Rayah and taking her in my arms.

Rayah

I look up at Jace, swallowing again as Jesse speeds off. I bury my face in my jacket, swallowing again and coughing again. We pull into the hospital around five minutes later and I start to shake.

Jace

We pull into the hospital and I carry Rayah into the ER section, looking around for where to go.

Rayah

Jesse checks us in and a nurse leads Jace to a room with a bed and wires and needles. She tells him to put me down there and I squeeze my eyes shut, trying not to cry.

Jace

I set Rayah down but stay close, holding her hand, "It's okay. Just relax."

Rayah

My lips go pale too and I close my eyes, nodding. I feel something go into my arm and then my body goes numb. I open my eyes and glance at my arm, finding a needle. Ugh, great. They are numbing me now.

Jace

I watch her and run my thumb over her palm, wondering what's truly going on with her.

Rayah

The nurse sits on a chair next to me and checks my forehead, writing something down on her clipboard. She looks at Jace, "What's been happening with her?"

Jace

I tell the nurse what I know and what happened so far, hesitating to add, "And she's...pregnant with twins, so could those be checked out too? I mean, if something's wrong with her, wouldn't they be affected too? Or the other way around?"

I stop talking, kissing Rayah's hand.

Rayah

I shift, the numbness making me frustrated, and don't feel Jace kiss my hand. The nurse sighs and hesitates before speaking.

"In Olympus, there's many possibilities. Her body...It's young. She's a young teenager, so her body might not be...ready for that kind of change. Her body acts up, her powers do their own thing. But the babies are least likely to be effected. It's her we need to worry about. If this keeps happening, it could be serious," She tells him. I swallow.

"Serious?" I ask.

She nods, "Have you been...tired and stressed?"

I nod, "Very."

She nods again, "Yeah. Her body isn't ready for this. It'll get used to it, but it'll probrably mean she will end up...frustrated. Also, she has a cold. Her throat is...really red."

Jace

I curse mentally, hating the uncertainty about her health and safety, "What's there to do about it then?"
