Olivia Itae/Her room in the palece:

A pounding on my door jarred me from sleep, the whole room shook with the force.

"Olivia! Olivia I'm thirsty! " came the voice I knew all too well. My heart sank to my toes- would he give me no peace?

Sighing heavily, I got up and threw on a robe- my nightgown falling to my knees and went towards the door. He was pounding on it again- each knock making me feel colder.

"Coming." I said quietly- dreading to open it to him.. to let him in.

Granted Fox, my vampire master, was gentle with me... at least by comparison. Some of the other bloodslaves I had seen with horrible bruises on their bodies, and bites all over them. Fox never hurt me like that.

He held me when he fed- which I hated but he said he had his reasons... he said this was to keep me from pulling away and causing his fangs to cut me overmuch. But he never forced himsrlf on me, never forced me down so he could feed. And he never drained me as Some of the other vampires did their bloodslaves. I felt weak after he fed of course, but he never endangered my life. But still I hated him.

Slowly I opened the door and he surged through into my room- eyes glittering in the dim light from my nightstand lamp.

"I'm thirsty." He stated bluntly, turning to face me- to tower over me. He wasnt a particularly tall man but compared to me he was. I nodded silently, removed my robe and turning my back towards him pulled the neckline of my nightdress down- baring my neck.

He moves with surprising swiftness when he wanted too, and a breath later he was behind me- hands fumbling with the knot of the bandage I kept wrapped about my neck. He had it off and thrown aside in a twinkly and then I felt his hot breath on my neck, his arms snake around my body and I went rigid.

"Relax." He mumbled against my neck- so close I felt his eyelashes flutter on my skin, " You're too tense...Your blood is pounding in your viens."

I took several deep breath willing my pulse to slow. He gohsted his fangs down the side of my neck, then pulled back and undid the bandages on my wrists- he was deciding where to feed. He was playing with me, damn him.

"Hmm... where shall I tonight Olivia? " He asked- almost purring my name-I felt sick.

"Where ever most pleases you." I muttered, a mockery of the submissive statement blodslaves were told to say,and waited for his reply.

It was three hours later when I got a reply message. I opened the scroll and knew it was my adoptive father's handwriting. Every reply was always from him. I sat down and read it carefully.
Jack,
It's to our surprise that you've made it to the city where Fidelis' reign first began. You make us both proud. We know that those five years with us have made you attached to us like we were your true parents, but remember that we're vampires and you are a mortal. It breaks her heart that you had to leave, but it murders me the most that you've grown up.
Between you and me, you have yet to become a man. You're not truly a man until you find yourself a mate. I myself know how that is. The first time you get someone in your arms, you're no longer a boy and made a man. If you find the one to love, you better treat her right and be true to her. However, if that mate of yours is a vampiress, have her turn you before she makes a man out of you. If you were turned after you let her make a man out of you, you'll have no chance of procreation. Be turned while still a virgin and you'll have a chance for having a family. I know so to be true. Whenever we have time, I'll explain it to you face to face.
Don't get into trouble now, my boy. There's a lot of trouble running in the city where you're at. Trust me. I know that to be true. Knowing you as a smart young man, you'd know better than to get into trouble. Just to be safe, don't be out in the streets at night unless you're either crazy, brave, or both.
Good luck out there.
Your adoptive father

I put the scroll away and dressed myself in black. Night was a vampire's time to play and the Machine's stalking time. I took to the streets and wandered around, looking around for any sign of trouble. Knowing my adoptive father, he still had his little rebel streak that I took from him. He knew me more than his mate, so he knew I would be going outside at night when his letter told me not to.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

"Hmm... where shall I tonight Olivia? " I whisper, tracing my fingers down Olivia's arm. She tenses and I hush her again just as she responds.

"Where ever most pleases you." She whispers. I wrap my arms back around her and sink my fangs into her neck, the sweet bliss entering me. I took two mouthfulls and pulled away after a while, wiping my mouth and taking a step back.

"Olivia, eat," I order. "I'll be back in a few hours. Your welcome to join me," I tell her. "I'm going to meet up with the queen. We..need to decuss some things."

I carefully put the bandages back on her neck and rists, sighing. I hated feeding from people, but if this is how I'm going to survive, I guess I must. I tilted her face up to look at me and I could see how weak she felt. Something in me...Broke.

I swallowed and let go, taking a step back. "I-I'm sorry," I say before storming out. A girl stops me on my way in the hallway and asks me something.

"Fox, She's not ready yet," She tells me. I remember her, one of the servants I've seen serve the Queen.

I nod, crossing my arms and leaning against the wall. She blushes before giggling and walking away. I watch her in confusion with a slight smirk on my face.

I strolled through the city streets quietly this time of the night always bothered me. It was a minute till midnight, and dark things happened at midnight. He took Callandor off his back and wrapped his rosary around the handle. He knew the rosary would rouse if it detected evil in the air. Callandor and his rosary were actually were actually a matching set. They were both a gift from the Order of the White, an order that wished to rid the world of evil. Callandor was an ancient and holy sword forged of the stell in gravediggers shovels and the rosary was made of aspen soaked in holy water for seven days. Together they were the ultimate weapons against evil.

I strolled along holding Callandor at the ready, suddenly my rosary began dragging me towards a forest. As I went further in I began here chanting, "as the ancient blood of Dracula runs within in us let our new lord arise." I recognized the chant. I had only once done battle with this ancient and evil order. Vampires that believed they were the "Children of Dracula."

I grasped Callandor firmly in my hand and grabbed one of my two stake shooting pistols. I walked along the edge of the glen they had gathered in and recognized the pattern of the blood surrounding one young man in the center. The boy was to not just be a sacrifice, but a vessel for a terrible and mighty Vampire lord.

I strolled in to their glen and yelled, "you guys decided to throw a party with out me? How very rude. I shot two of the vampires and watched with glee as they turned to dust, ten more to go. "You know these guns are a proud invention of mine the stakes are heated at the tips on exiting the gun I got the idea from the Belgians oddly enough. either way I thought I'd give you a fun fact before the end. No matter what you do this is over.

I threw Callandor to the center of the ring using it to purify the ring and stop the creation of a vampire lord. I grabbed my other gun and shot backwards taking down two vampires as they attempted to attack me from behind. "I'm surprised you all haven't heard of me The name is The Enigma. I pick out the dying wish of my enemies." I shot down four more vampires as I approached the obvious ring leader. "Your wish." I shot the remaining four in a hail of gunfire. "Is to see the face of the man that kills you and realize." I took of my mask dramatically, "is a mere child ."

The vampire cried out in indescribable agony, and then he knew no more.

As Demora hasn't posted yet, I'll be proceeding as if the meeting had already happened. Sorry, Dem. I can edit when necessary. Jeez... it seems vamp hunters are getting a little bit ahead of themselves. A brief time-skip is employed, but only by a half-hour or so.

Lucian Blackfang

"Goddamn."

Flanked by two other Tribunal Guards - the highest ranking defense unit in the country - I surveyed the scene before me.

Some sort of ritual had been interrupted. There were traces of blood, and... I bent down smoothly and traced a finger in the white-grayish dust. Ash. Of course. This must be one of the summonings the rouge vampires attempted... as far as I knew, they were highly discouraged by the Queen herself.

I stood and sighed heavily, brushing the dust and grime off of my hands as best as I could. I really had to convoke a meeting between the vampires and the hunters again... events were getting out of hand.

A savage hiss broke the silence of the back alley.

I whirled around and saw a red-eyed vampire throw itself at me, fangs bared and claws outstretched. Snake-fast, I lunged, katana clicking smoothly out of its sheath. It pierced the vampire through the eye and out the other side of the head, impaling it and grinding it to a halt.

I rotated my wrist, and the vampire's skull was sliced in half, and it disintegrated.

"Tsk, tsk," I murmured, quietly. "How foolish."

"Sir," said one of the Tribunal Guards, identical underneath their armor and riot helmets. They both had stood by the scene, unfazed. They knew full well I was capable of defending myself. "The damage wrought is clearly the work of Luminos."

"Damn." I rubbed my forehead. He was another of the wilder hunters.

My meeting with Xhadow had gone rather well, given the circumstances. She had grumbled and protested, but of course the law had the final word. And I was the law. The attack had been unprovoked, and that was that. Of course, in this case, Luminos was legally safe: interrupting the ritual was allowed. But the murder of the vampires wasn't. How many times must I drill this into their heads? They must make the first move. The laws were lop-sided, but this was a vampire-ruled society. And I represented the thin blue line between order and lawless anarchy.

I turned to face one of the Guards.

"Go to Queen Kira," I commanded. "Tell her I must meet with her. Now, at best, tomorrow morning at latest"

"Yes sir!" The Guard snapped a salute and jogged off.

Once it had reached midnight I rose from my throne when I was about to head to my chambers when a guard that I didn't recognize came forward. And bowed before me as he did I stopped in my tracks, and turned to face him.

"Sir Lucian BlackFlang has requested that you come to a recent vampire ritual siting, reports suggest that the ritual was the bring back the ancient vampire Dracula. The ritual was interpreted, but the casters involved were killed by a vampire hunter named Luminos. Sir Lucian has requested that you come see this and meet with him." The guard said.

So it seems my normal day just got shock up a bit, Lucian wants to meet me and discuss punishment I guessed. But I soon found myself out in the night headed towards the ritual site where I soon saw Lucian standing at the site examining evidence, I looked around and saw eleven piles of ashes. I walked over to Lucian's side as I looked around taking in the damage, I took a deep breath before heading into a long conversation.

"So whats the call legally?" I asked.

"Legally hes not safe" He said.

"Well then, how do we plan on going on about dealing with this hunter then?" I ask.

"Not quite," I said, carefully.

I took the Queen by the arm gently and moved her away from the site of the Ritual. Certain markings in the pentagram... it would be best if she didn't see those. I had no idea how she'd react, if, of course, she knew what these markings meant.

An invocation of a great vampire lord... Dracula was more than myth now. But there was another, potentially greater vampire lord that everyone here knew of. One that could be brought back by the terms described in the runes.

"Oh?" She asked. Typical vampires. So certain of their laws and rules, so long as they were in their favor. That must change, someday. And if I had it my way, oh how it would change.

"The situation implied could, technically, clear him of all charges. But I repeat, the legal circumstances are shady. I propose we adjourn to your castle and summon Luminos so that we may have a clearer view of the situation." I felt it best, though, not to add that I knew exactly what had happened.

I wandered the streets like any typical gypsy, pickpocketing from some vampires and returning the wallets back to their rightful mortal owners. As far as I could tell, most of the vampires around here were rogues who believed in Dracula. I chuckled at this. Dracula was a myth all around the globe and did no justice to the legendary King Fidelis, who was said to be the eldest vampire alive. My adoptive father would go on and on with the story, speaking with pride and in great detail. I never could figure out how he could tell the story without reading the book The Legend of Fidelis, which was written by Silver Sapphirerune- the first human to be a lawyer for vampires and humans alike and founding mother of the neutral branch of the law. I sighed. "Papa, if only you were here to see this."
Ages passed and still nothing. Many rogues have attempted to convert me into their cults, but I told them I was a bloodslave of King Fidelis himself. That scared them away and left me alone. I smiled. Every rogue was scared of Fidelis more than Dracula, since the former was known to kill anyone who were guilty. It keeps the rogues away from me and works every time.

"How dare he tell me what I can and can't do. The vampire lover!"I growl looking down an ally way at a lone male human. "He's pry begging for trouble."I whisper under my breath then a group of Dracula believers started down behind him. "Oh, I can't wait for this one to start." I snicker then jump down into the shadows and appear beside the boy. The vamps started getting excited at the arrival of another human. *Man this is gonna be fun.* I nod to the boy and smile at him my semi enlogicated fangs glistening in the moon light. "Mind if a walk with you a ways sweet stuff?"I ask and give him another smile.

I looked around and saw someone. Bloodslave-instincts told me to run, but I knew better. I looked at the vampires who approached me. I growled at them. "I told you leeches to bug off. I serve His Highness, Vampire King Fidelis Nemesis. If you want to end up getting a skewer through your hearts by His Highness himself, then be my guest."
The rogues ran off in fright.
I brushed the dust off my shoulder with a smirk. "Gets them every time. Every vampire in the world knows that Vampire King Fidelis is not a force to be reckoned with. Any bloodslave of Fidelis' cannot be sampled without his permission first." I returned my gaze to the woman. "I'll be fine on my own. Besides, I'm hoping to stake a few rogues before the night is over."

"Leave him alone Xhadow." The young woman looked over her shoulder at me, I had removed my masked and I noticed as she visibly cringed as she recognized who I was. "Can't you tell he's bothered by you. In fact unless my guess is wrong," I dashed over next to him crouching my head next to him as though I was listening to him speak. "He would rather appreciate it if you left him alone." I looked at him comprehension as to who he was dawning. I let my face remain a beaming smile. "Am I right my good man."

The young man nodded quickly. Xhadow quickly turned on me seeming furious. "Stay out of this Axel he is of no concern to you."

"You didn't bother to truly recognize his necklace did you." He looked down at the ground and I watched as who he was dawned on her. "Now Ez I like you, you're a good hunter but some part of me says that you'd be in over your head." I patted her on the head, "Now go kill some rogues yourself I'll watch after the new kid in town."

She looked at me furious and appeared as though she was about to strike but thought better of it. "She's gone now Traveler."

"Thank you Enigma," He looked up at me I realized noting the shocked look on my face. "My necklace may be recognizable but anyone that keeps an ear to the ground has heard of that rosary that you have wrapped around your arm." I looked at my wrist noticing that my rosary was lifting up and snaking about. It slowly went over to the Traveler. "It seems to like me."

"Well it hasn't tried to strangle you horribly so yeah more likely than not." I watched as it sniffed at the Traveler intrigued. My rosary had seen many beings but none as unusual as the Traveler. "You know what stick with me for a bit let's go get a bite to eat my treat. I know some good places and I haven't eaten this evening."

The Enigma's rosary scanned me for a while, then returned to its respective master. If my adoptive father saw that, he'd be surprised senseless. My own pendant had no abilities, but that didn't matter. I had some mental skills that not even my adoptive father would understand. Although my instincts as a bloodslave are settled down, I didn't trust the Enigma at first glance. "I haven't eaten myself since I got here and took temporary residence in a complex. Before I got here, I lived off of bread, chesse, berries, and the occasional bug. I know it's an unusual diet, but it lasted me five years. Just what would I give just to have a medium rare steak and a bowl of red dragonfriut with a side of fries and a cherry Dr. Pepper to wash the whole thing down? All that's hard to come back around my adoptive parents." I followed the Enigma, not getting too comfortable with him being around. I still had to get to the castle where Mr. N told me I was be properly safe from any rogues who gotten smart to know I was lying. I never really seen the face of the legendary vampire King, only heard of him through my old masters and adoptive father. If I ever saw King Fidelis, I'd ask to meet his daughter and have her hand in marriage if she likes me.

I stand in the middle of a bunch of Ashes from that group of Dracula believers. "Grr, who does he think he is some supreme hunter that tells me what to do and what not? Oh I will get my way some day and pry put that little pest out of his missery for him." I growl scattering the ashes everywhere. A strange voice then laughs darkly from behind me.
"Oh Ez, you always had a temper even when we were hunters.",a dark figured man then steps out from an allyway that sat in front of me. I go paler than my natural pale at the sight of him then shake it off and just scowl at him.
"What do you want bloodsucker?"
"Take a guess my sweet." He coos to me.
I snarl and pull my guns on him, " Don't call me sweet. I don't belong to you any more and you know that."He just steps right up to me and lets the end of my guns press into his chest.
"Then why am I still standing here and not ashes like them?", he asks nodding to the gray dust swirling around us. I pull away and start to leave, but he just follows me.
"What do you want, Damian?", I snap when he won't just leave me be.
" You've still gotta guess."

please forgive spelling errors- I was writing on my kindle at a Dr appointment.

Olivia/ Her rooms then the hallway of the palace:

I stared after Fox bewhildered - what had just happened? in that split second after he finished feeding, the look of pure bliss and ecstasy left his eyes... and was replaced by something else. Remorse? Guilt? he almost looked hurt, and if I had said something- my vision spun giddily and the room wavered, I needed to sit.

I had meant to sit but more ungracefully sprawled on my bed, weak from his feeding... and from lack of sleep. which really was my own fault. Unlike many of the other bloodslaves I refused to become nocturnal like our vampire masters. I missed the sun, I missed fresh air, I mist the outdoors. since my capture Fox had kept me close to him, and never outdoors- smart move, I planndd on running the first chance I got.

I lay there for god knows how long, until I remembered his words-

"Eat Olivia, and I'll be back in a couple of hours."

he was planning on feeding again, I sighed. I'd have to obey no matter how much I wanted to tell him to go to hell and stay there. I needed energy, needed nurishment. I was too weak for him to feed again so soon as a couple of hours.

Heaving another weary sigh I grabbed up my frumpy scrivners sweater and buttoning the atrocious mustard yellow thinv up I ventured into the hall with a flashlight.

The halls of this section of the palace looked alot likr a hallway in a ritzy hotel. red carpets, royal blue wallpaper on the walls with white crown molding, and a crapton of identical doors with small brass plates with the names of the vampire the room belonged too. the hall was very long and had vintage looking lamps bolted to the walls in scrolling sconces. they looked like something from the Titanic. they shone a very dim yellow, giving off barely enough light for me to see- but more then enough for the vampires.

I crept along the hall, pressed close to the door- heart pounding. Somehow in these halls I felt that primal terror animals feel when faced with a predator. I was the prey, and the hunters lurked in the shadows. Granted I was considered Fox's property, and apparently any srlf respecting Vampire wouldnt dream of feeding off anothers bloodslave, but I was still vulnerable.

I made it to the small kitchen that was mainly used by bloodslaves in this wing of the palace. the Vampires kept it well stocked with eatables- real food but also snacks, sweets, and a medicine chest where the advil and topical painkillers were kept when we were "chewed" Too roughly.

I know Fox had meant by what he said for me to eat a meal... but at that moment I wasnt hungry for real food. I scoured the panrty ,refrigerator and freezer and came up with the most ungodly bowl of icecream. a whole pint of vanilla went inyo it- along with all the chocolate, candies, and nuts I could find. It was a dentists worse nightmare- just the sugar rush and pick-me-up I needed. with the bowl in my hands I made my way back towards my room- I wanted to eat in relitive safety.

as I walked quickly back down the hall I thought I heard footsteps behind me, I looked round quickly- the hall was empty. breathing a sigh I turned to resume my original course and ran straight - into a barrel chest. With a squeak of surprise and fright I recoiled, but two arms like vices gripped me and slamed me into the hall wall with such force I was sure something broke.

after my swimming vision cleared I looked into the bloodshot face of a Vampire- he was gigantic. with a neck as thick as my waist and arms like a gorillas. He leered and his fangs glimered a sickly yellow- he reeked.

"Hello there sweet thing." He crooned, and the sound made my heart speed up. "whats a tasty little blood bag you are, cute too." he sneered, small piggy eyes trailing over me as he held me up against the wall- my feet dangling.

"Let go! I already belong to soneone- a bodyguard to the queen." I choked- for one of his hands was on my neck, nearly throtling me. He laughed like a Santa clause from a slasher moovie and leaned in, the smell of his breath making my eyes water .

"Your point PYT?" He snickered. Terror took hold of me and I struggled like mad- he wasnt going to respect another Vampires bloodslave!

"No! please dont- I was just fed from." I begged, fingers clawing at the hand like a easter ham he had on my throat.
"So?" He said mildly, running a broken nailed fingertip down my throat. he hooked the bandage and tore it off- giving me a roapburn that stung painfully. "I dont care whos meatsack you are. I just returned from a mission and I'm starved. "

Then he pulled my sweater away and almost giggled when he saw my silky nightgown. " Your master's got good taste. I'd bed you if I wasnt so hungry. " My stomach turned to water.

"No!" The neck of my nightgown gave with a loud rip as he jerked it roughly-exposing my neck. "Leave me alone- No!" I shrieked as he forced my head to one side- the unbitten side.

"Oh Shaddup." He barked-slapping me, "not like anyond can hear you. theyre all with the Queen. He bared his fangs, his yellow repulsive fangs- for the first time I saw what thry looked like just before feeding, eyes devoid of any feeling, devoid of a soul.

Then I screamed.

I hear a scream from guarding the hallway and I automatically know who it was. I would know that scream from anywhere. Olivia.

I use my speed to my advantage and find her scent. I stand behind the man, he was huge. "Hm. What might you be doing?" I ask, tapping his shoulder. He turns around and his eyes widen.

I nod, "Put her down and I will spare you," I mutter. He drops her and I smirk.

"Fox, I-I didn't--"

"Just shut up. Go find your own bloodslave," I bare my fangs and he backs away, running off.

I sigh and look down at Olivia, shaking my head at her. "Olivia. What the hell are you doing?" I ask quietly.
