Jace

"Tell me," I beg, "Don't do this again. I did not go through all of yesterday to be shut out again."

Rayah

"I can't. I-I just can't..." I said, taking my head in my hands again.

Jace

I take her face in my hands, "Rayah, I will leave. I'm not going through this again. Tell me."

Rayah

I had two choices. Tell Jace, risk mine or my family's life, Or not tell and Have Jace leave me. Great.

"Jace, I-I Can't...I just...I'm..." I don't know what to do, getting frustrated.

Jace

I scoot closer and set my forehead against hers, realizing she's scared, "I promise you, nothing will happen if you tell me. I can protect you, protect Logan and Riley. Alyx is here, Indigo. Nothing is going to happen."

Rayah

I close my eyes, a tear running down my cheek. "I don't want to take a chance...It's not something we can just protect ourselves from..." I said, biting the inside of my cheek.

Jace

"You have to trust me," I whisper, wiping her tear and blinking back my own, "Please. I promise you I'm not as weak as I've shown. There's so much more to me and Alyx that you don't know. I can protect you."

Rayah

I look up at him, swallowing and hesitating before I do. "Logan and Riley are strong...When they turn eight, In three years, They'll have their full powers. They have t-t-" I can't finish right away, shaking. "They have to go into the war, Fight Hades. We don't even have a say in that. Just like I didn't. I wasn't suppost to know. Now t-that I do, They want me to not know, and the only way to do that is to clear my memory. All of it..." I sobbed.

Jace

I swallow and kiss her, hugging her.

"Alyx can store others' memories," I whisper, eyes closed, "If we can't prevent this, he can hold onto yours and give them back when you're ready. I won't let you leave."

Rayah

I nod, still shaking, "What-What if he can't though..." I ask, running a hand through my hair.

Jace

I flash a smile, "I know my brother. He might have been taken from me, but I know him. If I could do what I did, he could take all four of our memories and return them in time."

Rayah

I nod slowly and lay down, closing my eyes and setting my hand on my forehead.

Jace

I run my hand over her forearm, watching her calm down, and call Alyx up mentally.

Rayah

I open my eyes, "Is he taking them away now?" I ask, rubbing my eyes.

Jace

Alyx enters and waits by the door, looking awkward. I flash a smile at Rayah and shake my head.

"He duplicates memories; copies them and stores them," I tell her, "We'll have them as long as we can."
