Western Heights Station

Rayah

I start shivering and pull my hood over my head. "For Zeus' sake make it warm..." I mutter to myself, taking my head in my hands.

Jace

I watch her before getting back to trying to ease my boredom.

Rayah

I couldn't take it anymore. I heated my body up, my skin turning a light glowing red. I take a deep breath and remove my hood, taking a deep breath.

Jace

She's...red. Wonderful.

I try not to stare, but her eyes glow beautifully with the unnatural color radiating from her.

Rayah

I turn the heat up on my skin and smirk as I do so, resting my arm on the table. That part catches on fire and I sigh, putting it out with my lemonade. I catch Jace looking into my eyes and I chuckle. "Why don't you take a picture? It'll last longer," I joke, the air around me sizzling.

Jace

I'm caught staring and blush slightly before coming up with something to say, "Already took a mental one. Don't worry though, it won't be published. You do have some amazing eyes though... It's weird."

Rayah

I flash a smile and shake my head at him, kicking up the temperature even more until smoke comes off my shoulders. "Really? Their just green," I say, taking a deep breath.

Jace

I raise an eyebrow at the smoke but keep focus on the conversation.

"Yeah. I don't know. They're just...different," I say, "And you're attracting a hell of a lot of attention looking like you're on fire and all. Um..maybe you should extinguish yourself before someone takes that job on themselves."

Rayah

I sigh and release the heat, my skin slowly turning back to the flawless tan it always was. I take a deep breath, people staring at me. I shoo them away and they look away quickly. My hair slightly turns red from the lack of heat and I try to hide it, hoping to god the temperature won't stay like this.

Jace

I watch her turn back to normal and barely catch the change in her hair color. Shaking my head, I focus on spinning the soda bottle instead.

Rayah

Ugh. I'm a strawberry blonde right now. Great.

I sigh and don't care anymore, wishing I could go home to see my boyfriend.

Jace

The bottle spins off of the table and slides across the floor, leaving me toyless. Staring at the way it went for a few minutes, I try to find something else to do.

"So...uh...this is boring," I state.

Rayah

I nod, glancing up at him. "True. I've never been so bored," I sigh. I get a text before looking down at it to find it's Charlie. "Hey um...my boyfrien wants to pick me up. Mind if we drive there instead?" I ask.

Jace

Boyfriend. Great. Guess I'm in the friend zone for a while then. Fun.

"Uh...Will we get there faster?" I ask, thinking about how awkward that car ride might be.

Rayah

I nod, "Depends how fast he drives. We'll get there in around two or so hours if he drives at regular speed. Probably only one hour or less if he goes faster," I smirk. "He'll get here in thirty minutes to just hang out for a while. Haven't seen eachother in around five days. Then we'll leave," I say.
