"Sorry, it would probably help if I remembered," I say, flashing a forced smile, "But a lot's happened and I have other things to think about. Maybe we just saw each other on the street one day or something."

Emery- When Niall comes back from Emery, she clings to his hand at first, but then falls asleep while he's talking to Lily. When she wakes up, Niall's sitting beside her and Lily is talking to a different boy. Emery notes the protective way Niall watches Lily and smiles. Lily walks over, looking disgruntled.
