Western Heights Station

Ari/Quantum

I study her, wishing I was like my sister and could read what she was thinking. Sighing, I look away again and glance at the ticket she'd left on the table. She departs from here soon.

"Where you headed?" I ask, "Maybe I could drive you. Trains are cramped and crowded..."

Presley/Volt

I glance up at him with a weak smile. "You'd drive me?" I ask, smiling wider.

Ari/Quantum

"Once I regain some sort of feeling in my hands," I look back at them, flashing a smile, "And can think straight. Yeah. It'd be no problem. I don't wanna go home just yet anyway. My parents nag on me all the time. It'll be nice to stay away for a little longer."

Presley/Volt

I nod, "Thank you so much, Ari," I smile again.

Ari/Quantum

I flash a smile and nod, setting my head back down and closing my eyes. Visions upon visions whip through my mind as I do. Peace, pain, suffering, repeat. Nothing new.

"No problem," I tell Presley. I need the company more than you know.

Presley/Volt

I nod. "No one's ever taught me to drive," I try to remember. "In high school, I never passed my driving tests," I chuckle.

Ari/Quantum

I look up at her, raising an eyebrow.

"Really?" I ask, "How old are you?"

Presley/Volt

I glance up at him. "Eighteen." I answer his question.

Ari/Quantum

I stare at her, completely shocked.

"How did you not pass the drivers test? Mr. Kinney was half asleep the whole time," I say.

Presley/Volt

I shrug. "Just didn't." I say sighing. "I Uh...I kinda drove the car into the side of the school..." I smiled sheepishly.

Ari/Quantum

I can't help but let my jaw drop.

"T-that was you?" I chuckle.

Presley/Volt

I nod, "Yeah...It was kinda on the news.." I chuckled, looking at the floor.

Ari/Quantum

I nod, "Yeah, I saw that. My sister goes to that school too. She's a year younger than you."

Presley/Volt

I smile, "I've already graduated. Earlier this year," I say, leaning back in my chair. I catch a strange glint in his eye before blushing and looking back at the floor. "What's her power?" I ask.

Ari/Quantum

She blushes and looks away and I flash a smile, confused.

"She's got three too," I say, "Mind-reading, flying, and shifting her appearance completely."

I shrug, sitting back.

"Fits her perfectly."
