Western Heights Station

Ari/Quantum

I swallow and look away, nodding.

"Yeah, just a headache," I lie.

Sammy

I nod, "Okies." My eyes set on his neck and I swallow before snapping out of it and looking down.

Ari/Quantum

I close my eyes again and try to relax, my skin crawling.

Sammy

I sigh just as...Fox... opens the door and walks in, glancing around. His eyes catch me and I slump in my seat, annoyed.

"SAM!" He laughs, running over and wrapping his arms around me from behind. "Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?!" He asks, kissing the side of my face. He glances up at Ari.

"Who are you?" He asks, sitting in my chair and pulling me atop his lap.

Ari/Quantum

I glance at the guy, a bad feeling bubbling in my gut.

"Nobody," I tell him, standing and walking to the tracks.

The train arrives and Titan appears, his mask and suit hidden. We say nothing as we walk towards the doors, but we aren't able to leave before a blast of electricity breaks the glass on the doors.

Wonderful. Eel is here.

Sammy

He leaves and Fox keeps kissing me. I pull away after a while before the glass breaks and Fox takes me in his arms before standing.


"What. The. Hell," He asks, annoyed.

Ari/Quantum

Eel steps into the building and smiles sickly at us, his hands crackling with electric current. Titan disappears and I curse myself mentally.

This is probably why I should have let Darcy come to this like she wanted...

Sammy

I watch with awe, sighing and stepping next to Ari. "Who the hell are you?" I ask the man. Fox looks at me worriedly.

Don't do it, Sam.

I ignore him and cross my arms, waiting for his response.

Ari/Quantum

I swallow.

"A dead man," I mutter.

I bolt off before Eel can hit me dead on and duck in the shadows, setting my mask on and getting down to my suit as I swear like never before.

Sammy

I sigh at all this and try to calm down just as Fox loses it and tries to use his power.

"Fox, It wont work. It doesn't look like he can---" Before I can finish Fox uses it on me for practice and I start to feel dizzy and stumble to the floor, out cold.

Ari/Quantum

I look back and find the girl from before on the floor, the guy she was with pissed off looking.

Um...maybe that's how it is in their kingdom...

Concealed in my alter-ego, I step out of the shadows in a blur and reappear behind Eel, absorbing a tad bit of his power and using it against him from the inside.

Sammy

The guy re-appears and Fox makes me wake quickly. I stand and give him my death stare before sitting at one of the tables and watching.

Ari/Quantum

I close my eyes and wince as he does, his power fizzling out without notice. Titan stares at me, shaking his head, and I look at him. Eel disappears in a cloud of ash and I drop to my knees.

Well that was the stupidest thing I've ever done...

My eyes roll back in my head and I black out.

Sammy

The guy falls and I run over to him, shaking him. Fox kneels next to me and feels his pulse.

"He'll be alright," He tells me.

Ari/Quantum

I come to, Titan out of sight and the couple standing over me. I jump up and feel my face to make sure my mask is still on, stumbling back lightheaded. Falling over again, I swear and crash into a trash bin. Titan reappears and helps me stand, chuckling.

"Shut up," I mutter, glaring at him as my face reddens.
