Agree with what Carlito said ;) Whether its 2 or 20000000 words a day, you should be able to write something. Also, don't be more focus on going back, proofreading your work after writing a few paragraphs when there are ideas knocking on your mind. Write those tingling ideas, save the grammatical check ups for proofreading later. When you have writer's block, it is the right time to PROOFREAD and not procrastinate. While you proofread, your mind will create some useful scenarios out of the scenes that you were proofreading. Good luck people..

I think that... No, I WILL join this. I have a novel at 70000 words and I have not written for six months. Plus the last 20000 words need to be erased. And man, I truly need to finish this. I just hope that my lazyness will permit me and that I can still write.

Whatever. I am in. Controll by day and Beneath the Trinity at night.

Good luck Drak! Be sure to stick at it, and keep writing.

How would you guys feel if we started voting for mascots and team names tomorrow? Unless anyway thinks we should wait, I'm going to make the poll tomorrow and I'll put up a link here.

Love the idea! I'm in :)
But I think I'm gonna try to write my novel until summer ends because when school starts, I won't have time to write :(
In my short life I wrote about 17 novels but no one of them is longer than 7 chapters :D I hope that this one I will actually end :smt001
Never say good-bye if you still want to try,
Never give up if you still feel you can go on,
Never say you don't love a person anymore if you can't let go.

I also hope that, Eivery :) The story sounds truly great :)

As for myself, I think that it would be best if I were to begin writing my book from the start again. Some things are better to be started after a certain amount of experience, which I think I now have.

I think that you guys need to stop thinking of writing as a job, it's not (unless your Rick Riordan). It's a hobby, if you think of it as work you won't do it! :D Draknghar, it will be easier to finish your stories if you like writing them.
Good luck guys! :D
Sometimes it's nice to just laugh at yourself!
I should know, I do it all the time!

Another idea for you guys is to post word counts. I got in the habit of writing my word counts every time I wrote in my journal so I could watch it go up and feel awesome, not just when I reached milestones like 10,000 or 50,000 but every day so I could look back and say "sweet, I'm 1000 words farther today than I was yesterday :)
So I don't know if you want to make a thread for it or something Shino or if people want to do it here or keep track of it privately or do it at all, just another suggestion :)
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.

Ask a Therapist!
I want to beta read your novel!

I actually think that I will enjoy more rewriting the thing, WillowCutz. It would spare me the pain of reading what I wrote two years ago as well as allow me to develop much better and more effective scenes. It makes me eager to start :) Although for some reason I feel it vital for me to wait for this. But I do think of it as a job, in a small way, for it would help me finance my life if I publish it by next year. But I will try to take your advice :)

And yes, a word count would be truly effective. Perhaps we might have a word count thread where we continuously update our word count in spoilers in dedicated posts?

Great idea Carlito! Feel free to post them here, or use the #FinishThis thingy under the People page. Post them wherever you want, wherever we'll see them, and most importantly, wherever you'll see them. I don't know if I should start a new thread, for fear of spamming the lounge. What do you guys think?

I think that if it is limited to one extra thread, then it should not hurt, but now that I think of it a little more... What about using #FTWordcount tag?

Also, I have some bad news. I'm going to be away this weekend for a camp. I didn't even know I was going to it until yesterday, thanks for dropping that bomb on me dad. So the workshop will have to be put off again, unless someone else is willing to take it over. I'm very sorry, if I had a choice, I'd definitely rather do the workshop than learn about the various species of fungi.

Hei, thank you, THANK YOU.

I've never really known how to combat writers block thus I've just waited for it to go away...

...which never happens.

So, for how long exactly will you be leaving? I might take over, if it would help the cause, but I will be happy to leave the position for someone else.
