Rayah

I walk upstairs and lead Logan back to his and Riley's room as he crawled back in bed and motions me to come and lay with him. I sigh and crawl in next to him, wrapping my one arm around him. "Just for a second. Until you fall asleep." I said. He nods and closes his eyes.

Jace

I hear Rayah come up the stairs and set Riley on the floor.

"Mommy's in there, baby girl," I say, "Why don't you go and see what's up and get back to sleep, alright?"

She waddles out and I lay back down, sighing.

Rayah

Riley walks in and I stay mute while Logan tries to sleep. I motion her to bed and she does as I say. Once their asleep again, I stand and walk back into my room, not looking at Jace as I walk to the bathroom to wash my face.

Jace

I smile, keeping my eyes closed, when I hear her walk in the room. I sprawl out again and wait, pretending to be asleep.

Rayah

I see him sprawl out and I swallow.

He's happy I'm not there?

I shake away the thought and sprint out, slamming the door behind me. I run downstairs and plop back down on the couch, squeezing my eyes shut.

Jace

Oh, sh*t...gods, I did it, didn't I?

I jump up and bolt after her, ignoring the couple. I crouch at her side and set a hand on the side of her face, worried I'd hurt her more than intended.

Rayah

He touches the side of my face and I shrug his touch away, rolling on my side so I'm not facing him.

Jace

I sigh, refusing to move. Didn't mean it, Ray. It was a joke.

Rayah

I let out a huff and refuse to hear him, Throwing a pillow over my head.

Jace

I groan and stand, shaking my head. Fine. Just remember who started this. I walk back upstairs and curl up under the covers.

Rayah

I swallow, before realizing it, my eyes swell up. "I give up! You win!" I yelled up at him, throwing the pillow over my face again.

Jace

I hear her, but stay where I am, not wanting to see her hurt.

Rayah

After about three minutes, I no longer feel tired. I turn on the lights and turn the T.V on, eating icecream.

Jace

When she doesn't come up, I swallow and close my eyes, trying to bury everything and fall asleep.

Rayah

There's nothing good on and I turn it off. I walk back upstairs and stop when I get to the doorway of our bedroom. "C-Can..." I stop, "Can I come in?" I ask, flashing a small smile.
