Something about him...
Childhood memories I didn't even know were memories, flood me, and I blink a couple times before looking foward.

Dylan

I bring out the notebook again and flip to the page I left off at, wanting to take my mind off the memory.

Ruby

The notebook.

More memories flood me...Images of a one year old, and a baby, a castle, and a storm overhead. And then...a glimpse of that notebook.

I look at it, "Where...where did you get that?" I ask in a whisper, thinking my past dreams have been true.

Dylan

I look at her, confused, "My brother. It's his. He's... not around much anymore. Everything he ever knew he wrote down for me."

Ruby

I swallow and nod, looking back foward as everything comes peicing together, "O-Oh."

Dylan

I study her and nod, deciding to put it away.

Ruby

M-Maybe...

I glance at him, "Where...where is you're family from? I know this...might be a weird question to ask... But there's just something that I've been trying to figure out for years and that noetbook..." I look at him, "Reminds me of home."

Dylan

I shrug, "Carlingford. Just a small town. I grew up in Oregon though."

Ruby

I sigh and turn foward again, "Okay."

Dylan

I study her before downing my drink. Roan did say... Nah. Don't focus on the unknowns. Focus on what you know and better yourself with everything else.

Ruby

I sigh and take a deep breath, thinking of how father told me I have a lost sister somewhere. An older one. And how he told me she lives in the kingdom. And how....I'm next for throne. Shaking my head, I down my water. There's no way in hell I'm a princess.

Dylan

I finger the leather band around my wrist and slip back into my thoughts.

Ruby

I glance at him, "Have you ever heard of a pplace called Pearl?" I ask, "A kingdom perhaps?

Dylan

I think, bringing out the notebook again and flipping to one of the first few pages, and blink a few times when I find it, "Yeah... why?"

Ruby

"Is you're brother from there? Maybe, like, visited for a couple weeks or something?" I ask.
