Arabella--

Grinning, I inhaled deeply. I had smelled him when he was invisible, but it was harder.

Catching scent of his blood, I dove for the tree he was sitting in. I landed on top of him, forcing him into a laying position.

"Found you!" I said, smiling and proping myself up on his chest. He smiled back at me.

Caspan-

I smiled down at Kayla. "So which will it be, love? The sky, the sea, the beyond, or the now?"

I raised an eyebrow questioningly, at the same time trying to tell her, without words, that she could trust me.

Ramere-

I chuckled. "That you did."

She plucked at the sleeve of my shirt, frowning. Then she looked up to meet my eyes. "This green doesn't suit you."

I raised an eyebrow and touched my shirt, murmuring soft words. They changed back to their normal mix-match of black, gray, and dull red.

"Better?"

She shook her head again. "Not quite. Try...adding a bit of white or blue in there."

I sighed and rolled my eyes but did as commanded. When I was done I had dark blue pants, a white shirt, a gray and red vest, and a black belt. She nodded her head in approval.

"Much better."

"Well good, I'm glad you approve."

Kayla

I managed a smile through the caotic feelings on my insides, "beyond the stars."

I clung to his shoulders as he started to fly up.

Christian

I watched as Caspan and the girl Kayla flew away, I randomly picked Cara up and started flying up as well, my destination the mountian to watch the sunset with her.
I just lost the game.

Cara-

Cara slammed her eyes shut as they lifted into the air. She peeked one open and her stomach fell as they went up a little more. She clutched Christian's neck,

"Could you warn me next time." She whispered hoarsly in his ear waiting for them to level out before she opened her eyes all the way.

Storm-

Storm ignroed the others and kept going, Cara's wolf stayed with him obviously trusting Christian.

"If I get the chance before I chicken out I will," I promised. I landed us on what looked like a more sturdy part of the mountain.

"Wow," she gasped.

"HAven't you seen a sunrise from this high before?"

She shook her head.
I just lost the game.

Smiling slightly I put my arm around her and pulled her against me feeling the goosebumps on her arms. "cold?"

She nodded slightly and I wrapped my wings around her keeping us warm.

"Better?"

"Thank you."

I kissed the top of her head.
I just lost the game.

Arabella--

I yawned and leaned my head against Ramere's shoulder.

"You make an excellent cot," I commented playfully, running my fingers lightly across his chest. A low rumble shook his chest as he chuckled.

Caspan-

I held onto Kayla as we rose silently into the sky. When the air started to thin, I stopped.

"If I could, love, I'd take you farther. But if I did, you'd die, along with me. In my honest opinion, I don't think it's worth it. Yet."

Ramere-

I chuckled. "Just don't let me fall asleep."

"And why not?" she asked, her fingers still gliding over my chest.

"If I do, we fall."

Arabella--

I sat up, a playful smirk spreading across my face.

"What if you were to become..." I ran my fingers lightly across his neck, the tips barely grazing his skin. "Destracted?" He cocked his head slightly sideways. I leaned down a little, so that my face was only inches from his.

Kayla

"OH my," I gasped. I looked down and regretted it. Heights didn't bother me when I could see the ground, it looked like nothing. it felt like I was in the black abyss I had always feared. I shut my eyes and clung tight to Caspan, the only thing that reminded me that I wasn't alone.

"Are you alright?"

I shook my head and knew I was close to fainting again. I fainted when I was scared a lot.
I just lost the game.

Ramere-

I met Arabella's gaze equally, a small smile tracing my lips, eyelids half-lowered lazily.

"In depends on how distracted I might become," i answered, running a hand through her hair, smiling tauntingly.

Caspan-

Damn, now you've done it. a voice in my head scolded. I blocked it out and swooped downwards, tucking my wings tightly to my back and holding onto Kayla tightly.

"Hang on," i told her, veering up sharply once were were safe again, just below a large white cloud. I looked down at her in concern.

"Are you alright? I'm really sorry..."

Kayla

"I'll be fine once I can see the ground," I assured him. "Is it visible?"

"Yes."

I opened my eyes and sighed in relief.

"I'm really-"

"It's not your fault, I shoulda realized I wouldn't be okay that high up."
I just lost the game.

Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts.
