"I can handle it." She said, "I don't want to see that happen to anyone around here. It'll be my fault. I should leave." she said looking at him. She didn't want to be a bother. That was why she had been left. That was why her parents didn't want her, because she was a bother.
"H-how did you know that?" She asked surprised, "It had to be because of that. What other reason would there be?" She turned as she felt the sting of tears in her eyes. She wouldn't let them fall. No way would she, she had cried enough about them. There was no way she would know why they left or why they didn't keep her.
"Other than having a flying wolf follow me and an angry mage following me. I am ordinary." She sighed, "My parents abanadoned me without leaving a note or anything. I don't even remember what they look like." She sighed and leaned back in his arms. "I'm nothing special, you can fly. I could if i wanted to with Fire, but every time I'm up in the air I get scared. I can't keep my eyes open."
I held onto Kayla as I flew over the buildings, searching frantically for Ramere and the others. The autumn sun beat down on my shoulders and back even as a cool breeze tickled my cheek. Clouds gathered on the horizon, announcing the fast approaching storm.
Finally, i spotted them and swooped down, landing lightly in front of Ramere.
"Where have you been?" he demanded. "What happened?"
"No time to explain. We have to get home, quick."

Cara was a little confused, but she didn't want to get into the subject more. She just leaned back into him and looked out the window. "Do you think your family will get in safe?" She asked refuring to the others that she had seen out there. "I still need to thank Storm for showing me to the town."
I would have much prefered him putting me down now that we were on the ground, but apparently I wasn't going to go fast enough. He continued to carry me as he hovered just above the ground fleeing towards somewhere.
I didn't mind heights, and I didn't mind what was going on now, I wasn't really afraid of anything except new people. It frightened me and I got the feeling that I was about to come across tons of new people.
When we finally came to a stop and Caspan put me down I shuddered, for some reason, I could sense at least half a dozen people in this house.
*TN, Storm is with Ramere, Caspan, Kayla, Richard, and Aedomir*
Caspan-
I felt Kayla shudder when i put her down and glanced at her face. She was staring at the house nervously.
I laughed. "Don't worry, my family is completely friendly. I won't let harm come to you. Probably the only thing you need to fear is the occasional sharp tongue. Otherwise they're all big softies."
At this point i nudged Ramere who glared back at me. He rolled his eyes and went to enter the house, Arabella following behind. I took Kayla's hand in mine and led her inside, Storm and the other two men following. I ha figured Ramere had discussed things with them...i hoped.

My heart did summersaults when Caspan grabbed my hand and led me inside. Somehow him being there made meeting all these people a little less frightening. I wanted to ask him something, something which the answer would comfort me about these people.
I glanced back at Kayla, smiling. I still felt her unease.
"Don't worry, they won't mind you coming at all. Especially my mother. She'll love you, guaranteed." I smiled.
Squeezing her hand again in reassurance, i led her into the living room where just about everyone else was. My mother immediately spotted us and came over, my father trailing behind.
"Who is this?" she asked, eying Kayla and me. She smiled.
