The Moosehead Tavern [2]

Joseph watches as what appears to be the same girl walk in, still waiting on an answer from the other girl, and grimaces. He avoids her gaze even when he finds that she isn't the same one.

Kelly Myers

I learned the two girls names quickly Bella and Katie.

"Whatever." I thought.

I walked over to the table and took Bella's seat I was across from the guy before then I snapped my fingures again.

"Yo bartender wheres the Bloody Mary's at?" I said louder than usual.

The bartender brings the Bloody Mary over with a sigh before disappearing. Joseph looks at Bella and then back to her, hoping a fight wouldn't turn out.
"Is there a name we can call you by?" He asks the other one.

I looked at the guy as I sipped from my Bloody Mary.

"Me? you can call me Kelly, I been travaling around now for awhile mostly by night." I said.

Joseph nods and shifts Kalen in his lap. "I'm Joseph, this is Kalen and Sai. You've met Bella and Katie."

I looked behind me as the two girls continued to talk.

"Oh those two? You don't say. Theres something wrong with the Katie girl, something doesn't sit right." I said taking a bigger sip from my Bloody Mary.

I moved around in my seat uncomfortably feeling the eyes of that katie girl trying to pry information from me.

Bella sat back down as katie brought another table over with four more seats and sat in the one next to Bella, "I'm pissed off, Bella." She said grinning. Bella shook her head, "Why?"

She sighed, "This is why." she showed a picture of Rayah and Jace at prom.

"So?"

"I like him." She frowned.

"He's Rayah's, am I correct?" Bella smiled.

Katie nodded, "Rayah will beat your ass if you steal him from her, you realize that. She's stronger then you and me put together."

Katie smiled, "She wouldn't hurt her own sister." Bella shrugged, "You never know."

Joseph glances at the picture, suddenly curious of the boy he would be protecting if he'd stuck with the old life.
"Jace... What do you know about him?" He asks Bella and Katie.

"Well he's with Rayah. He's hot. He has Blackish hair. He's from a different galaxy and stuff." Katie smiled at the thought. Bella elbows her and speaks, "Well everything that Katie said, exept for the 'hot' part. He has a Brother named Nic and he can control this blue fire thingy that shoots from his hand."

I sat back and watched as the conversation went on, the photo they were holding I became curious. I took a big sip and peeked over Bela's shoulder.

"Can I see that?" I asked innocently.

Bella turns around. "Do you know them?" She asked showing her the picture, "The one on the left is Jace and the right is Rayah."

Joseph nods, flashing a smile at the mention of the blue light. He remembers when Nic first discovered something similar, his father with him as they watched. Smiling, he looks down and feels somewhat empty.
Kelly asks to see the picture and I wonder why, the instincts from before surfacing.

I began to grab the picture but as I did, that's when it happened. Vision's poured into my mind showing pictures of events to come. A monster and three people facing that monster. I let go of the picture quickly, it fell to the floor and I put my hand on my head.

"Ah shit." I said.

Joseph looks to Kelly, slightly concerned and interested. "What's wrong?"

Bella,takes the picture away from her. And Katie frowns. Bella grins. "Go ahead and try to steal him from her but be ready either to wake up underwater or be missing a finger."

Just as Bella said that, Kelly fell on the floor. Bella turned around quickly, "Oh my god, are you okay?"
