Adelinda

Although she tried to keep a calm appearance, Addie was just as nervous as Numaria and as anxious to start as Pyratis. "Sounds good to me, Pyr. We can get to the Asteron Valley by nightfall," she said, glancing at the mid-morning sun. She started running down the road. With a wiggle of her tail she took off towards the south-west. "Whoever's coming had better catch up. Last one there's a rotten egg!" She rolled over a couple times, like an airborn corkscrew toward their destination.

Echo

The younger female dragon took off down the path and flew up into the air, doing a few barrel rolls before leveling off. As the others moved to follow her, Echo stepped out of the brush and launched himself upward, catching up to the others within a few wingbeats. He had been asked by the elders to watch out for Pyratis, and it wouldn't do to let his eager charge out of his sight this early.

"Do you want to stop for food earlier, or later?" he asked the group. Echo had to consciously force himself not to make decisions for them. He was the most experienced of the dragons, but the other three were headstrong, and Echo didn't want to make them angry. If they were going to succeed, they'd have to work together.

Pyratis:

"I already ate before the meeting." Pyr called back over his shoulder. At high speed he still had to think about flying otherwise his large wings would tangle around his legs. But at the relaxed pace they were going he barely even had to beat them. He simply glided effortlessly through the sky.

The familiar prickle of his spirit sense came to Pyr and he craned his neck. He glanced over his shoulder to see Allaria perched on his back, peering at the landscape spread out below them. Allaria was his twin sister, hatched from the same egg. She had been born blind and hadn't survived that first critical year.

Yet as a spirit she remained with Pyr, inseperable. Ali revelled in the ability to see that she had gained as a spirit. Grinning Pyr dove into a ground scorching dive, snapping his wings open at the last minute.

Ali shrieked with glee. A sound only Pyr could here.

*I'm planning for the first day of the trip to be fairly easy, but I think they should be attacked fairly early on. Also I'm taking suggestions for what the source of the sickness is.*

Numaria

She gladly took to the sky, stretching her wings out wide. Showing off, she did a graceful nosedive before soaring up high to where her friends flew. She was excited for this mission, but butterflies flitted about in her stomach still. There was always the chance that she wouldn't find the cure, that she wouldn't be allowed back. But she couldn't think of that now, this soon.

"So where are we heading first?" she asked.

"I guess we should head off on our own. Away from the other dragons, ya know?" Pyr answered.

"Makes sense."

Edala
I wake and scarf down the deer then go over and nudge the white dragon awake. I drag the other deer to her and nod for her to take some. "I appreciate all you're doing for me."

I was nudged awake by Edala and see drag one of the other deer I killed and looked like the only deer left to me and she nod to me to take it."I appreciate all you're doing for me" she said. Then she walked over to her eggs again and curled up looked at me then asked " why are you so nice to me I have done nothing for you?"
"Well I know how hard it is to have eggs to this stage mine only made it to being a egg for not even a hour" I said sadly.

After the initial excitement of a new adventure, the dragons settled into quiet, hearing nothing but their rhythmic wingbeats. Addie watched the changing landscape below with mild disinterest, tracking their progress. They passed rivers, lakes and plains, the landscape growing slowly less familiar to Addie as they flew away from her longtime home. They continued in a southwesterly direction until the sun set to the front and right of them, casting an orange glow over the mountains. They kept heading straight for just a few minutes, until they reached the sheltered Asteron Valley. There, they landed and curled up for the night.

Spoiler
This might be a good place for them to get attacked, maybe. What would attack a dragon?....

Spoiler
A bigger, feral dragon? I don't know.

Echo

As the others settled down for the night, Echo found a quiet spot at the edge of the clearing and sat, letting his tail trail out behind him. Someone had to keep watch, and since no one had volunteered, that job fell to Echo. Perhaps he could catch some food, as well. None of them had eaten since setting out.

After a short time, the others were asleep. Echo sat up straight, sweeping his gaze across the clearing. He would wake one of them later in the night for watch, but for now, he had to stay awake. He had seen a few rodents--nothing worth catching, though. They would probably have to find something bigger in the morning.

Then Echo heard something snap behind him. He spun around silently, staring into the pitch-black forest. He couldn't see, hear, or smell anything, but he knew it was out there--he could feel it, its consciousness a buzzing beacon in the night. Without moving, Echo slowly reached outward with his mind. He could tell what it was just by touching it, and if he could do that without alerting it to his presence, he and the others would have an edge. He stretched outward, slowly, slowly...

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
