131 Ways to the Top

Fresh out of high school, you somehow come across an advertisement. It offers you exactly one year in an apartment in the biggest city in the country, the fame capital of the world. Home of directors, actors, musicians and fame alike. People only ever dream of living there. Five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a full kitchen. The cost is only five hundred dollars.

You now have a year to make it in the big city, or you'll loose the apartment.

The clock is ticking.

Welcome to the Ferris Apartment.

Little do you know, you will be staying in the apartment with six other people. It is located in New Embrege, (the equivalent of Hollywood). Upon arrival, you find a card that informs you only the most successful of the group will be able to keep the apartment. Good luck, and welcome to the fame game.

History: Grew up on a farm with her seven brothers and sisters. Her mom died when giving birth to Timmy, the youngest. ( she is second youngest) Her father died when she was ten. All her brothers and sisters were split up and sent to foster homes.

Age: 19
Appearance: Average height, athletic build, toned muscles, angular face, bright green eyes, golden shoulder-length hair, usually tied up in a ponytail, straight nose, big smile.

Talent: Sunny is a musician and songwriter. She sings, and plays guitar and piano, and can play and sing at the same time. She has her own style, sort of a mix of pop and indie folk.
Personality: Sunny is upbeat and positive, and always has something funny to say. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, even though people don't always want to hear what she has to say. She is stubborn and headstrong, and while this sometimes serves her well, it can also cause problems. She's very passionate about her music, and wishes life were more like a musical, with random dance numbers to make things more interesting.
History: Sunny grew up in California. Her mother died when she was young, so she and her sister grew up with their father, a chemist at Caltech. Sunny first became interested in music through physics, when her father did an demonstration that exposed the standing wave phenomenon of a musical note. She was artistic, and began doing experiments with various instruments and chords. She developed her own style based on the music she liked to listen to.

Name: Krithika 'Chika' Chaturvedi
Age: 18
Gender: Female

Appearance: Chika is 5'4, with short, dark brown hair. She usually wears colored contacts, so you can never really tell what colors her eyes are. Her favourite combination, and the one she uses most often is that of a turqouise lens in one eye and a bright green one in the other. She dresses simply, but always wears a large pair of headphones around her neck, and a ratty, old set of leather/cloth bracelets on her left hand.

Talent/Skill: This kid is a talented designer. And not a normal designer - a fashion or interior designer - she wants to be an architect. Unfortunately, to be recognised as an architect is very difficult - it takes 7-8 years to complete the masters course, so she decided to take up this offer. She's been drawing and sketching buildings since she was eight.

Personality:
She likes parties, but she also thinks they're superficial. Unlike every other student, she know when she needs to give herself a break. She can be a little boring sometimes, but not OMG-what-did-I-get-myself-into-should'nt-have-spoken-to-her-nerdy boring. She lives by the rule "Live and let others live". She likes to laugh a lot. However, she's ambitious, and can be manipulative to a great extent, since she's always one step ahead. However, she isn't cruel, disliking any drama around her.

History:
Chika is a street rat - literally. She comes from India, where people are a million to one. Having grown up on the streets, she studies in a scholarship from the government. She did not disappoint, nailing the position of the yearly topper. When the government officials received word of this offer, they sent her a letter, hoping she would take it up. Having grown up on the streets, she is street smart and reliable, being able to get out of any fix whatsoever. She was fascinated by building since she was young, and decided to pursue the art of building and creating them as a career.

Up For Love?: If it works as a ruse, or if she's going to double cross the poor guy, then yes. Otherwise? Not a chance.

Name: Christian Keagan (Goes by Chris)
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Appearance: Only about 5'5", with pale skin. His hair's dyed blond (the brown sometimes shows at the roots) and he wears blue contacts. Kind of fragile looking.

Talent/Skill: He's a great actor.

Personality: He tends to use his acting skill during his regular life; changing his personality to fit whatever situation, and making it hard to tell when it's actually the real him. He focuses a lot on his appearance (thus the dye and contacts,) and seems at first glance to be pretty shallow. He usually keeps his thoughts to himself, taking the side that will look better to the press.

History: He grew up in a slightly-wealthier-than-average town in New York State, as the youngest of three. One of his brothers had already found some success as a musician, while the other was set to inherit a company from their parents. He'd always been pushed to avoid living in his brothers' shadow, so he jumped at the opportunity for a little fame.

Up For Love?: Yes (just for the record, not too picky about gender.)

Name: Raymond D'Cheu (de-chew)
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: He's six foot, mildly muscled. He almost always wears a plaid button down shirt over a white wife-beater and ripped jeans with hiking boots. Making up for the absence of his six-pack is his face, which pairs warm eyes with a charming smile.

Talent/Skill: He plays guitar and sings. He's hoping to start his own band.
Personality: He's pretty, and he knows it. With girls he seems to have absolutely no morals. As a result, most girls hate him.With his guy friends, he is easygoing, and loves a good round of video games. He eats constantly. He's always the first one up to go on an adventure or try something new. He loves partying. He covers his insecurity from high school by acting like a player. He runs away from problems, and doesn't like dealing with them. He'll say anything to avoid a conflict.

History: He grew up in a small town, and lived there his entire life. In high school he was friends with most of the artsy kids, and didn't have a lot of friends because he was very self centered. He came out of high school and scrambled to get a decent record deal. He had been offered one while he was in high school, but his parents forced him to finish school. He hates them for this. He had a band in high school, but they broke up his senior year.
Up For Love?: If by 'love' you mean a one-night stand, then sure.

Talent/Skill: She plays guitar, sings and dances.

Personality: (detailed, please, with strengths and weaknesses) Bella has always been the popular girl in school, wether she liked it or not. She is very cocky, and playfull. She loves to party, going to almost every one in school. She doesn't like getting ALL the attention. She's caring and sweet. Her strengths are Beauty, Playing guitar and her voice. Her weaknesses are little kids, she tends to cry whenever someone else does and she doesn't get good grades.

History: Bella was born in England, moving to America when she turned 13. She has two older brothers and one baby sister. Her parents got divorced when she was fifteen, making a huge depression gap in her life. She couldn't stand the fighting, and moved out when she turned sixteen. She moved into an apartment and just wanted to focus on her music.

Name: Seth Veros

Seth has dark hair, not brown but not black, and a pale complexion. He has pallid green eyes, almost olive color, and is at the average height of 5'9''. He's well built but doesn't look all that muscular. He's usually seen wearing a sweatshirt or jacket and jeans.

Talent/Skill: He's an actor, or at least he likes to think of himself as one. He was in the drama club throughout high school and even got a recommendation to apply for an acting school. Not having the money or opportunity for a scholarship, he looked elsewhere for anything to help him and discovered his rough singing talent. He's no Adam Levine and has no confidence in this skill, leaving him to mainly focus on acting.

Personality: Seth is pretty quiet around new people, but has the ability to slip into character and become the facade needed. Saying this, some might think he has a multiple personality issue, when he's really only trying to fill in a gap. His true socialization skills aren't that great, so making friends is hard, but he's friendly and open to conversation. He's confident in his acting talents but has yet to come out in the open about his musical aspiration, afraid to try something beyond what's in store for him. He believes he's got what it takes to be the next Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio, and isn't all that worried about looks. He's pretty grounded for a guy looking for show business, but can get carried away if pressed to.

History: Born the second son to a middle class family, Seth was always overlooked. HIs brother went on to be a successful business owner after graduating from Harvard and his parents wanted Seth to follow suit. Ever since he was little, though, Seth has been a hit on stage. As mentioned above, he was inducted into the theatre club at school and performed leading roles in several plays. He got an acceptance letter to a high class acting school but turned it down because of money circumstances. Instead, he decided to make it his own way, hoping for the best.

I whistled a rock melody to myself as I fiddled the apartment key into the lock. I used one foot to prop open the door as I dragged my suitcases into the room. I propped everything up against the dark wall.

"Sweet Jesus," I looked around at the apartment. Luxury furniture was propped up in every corner. There was a kitchen my mother would have called posh, and a huge window overlooking the city.

I noticed a row of three doors, and went to investigate those. Each led into a slightly different bedroom. Directly off the kitchen another set of four doors led to similar rooms. One room for every day of the week. Sweet.

I quickly found the stereo system, and wired my iPod into the sound system. I put on one of CD tracks, and sang along as I made myself a drink at the bar. Coffee, ginger ale, cherry juice....

I heard rattling at the door, and watched someone walk into the apartment I thought was only mine.

I walked into an apartment, one they told me to go to. I was singing to my i-pod and saw another dude in the same one. I threw my bag onto to couch and took one of my headphones out.

"What are you doing here?" He asks, turning to me.

"I believe the real question is why are YOU here?" I said, grinning.

Sunny Joule

I took out my key as I trotted up the stairs--and stopped dead in my tracks. The door to my apartment was already open, and there was a girl standing in the doorframe. I clenched my fists and sighed in frustration, before putting on a fake smile and walking toward the door. The landlord had promised that there wouldn't be any problems, and this was definitely a problem.

I stood behind the girl for a few seconds, noticing that there was a guy inside, standing behind the bar. Great--even more complicated.

"Um, excuse me," I said, tapping the girl on the shoulder. "I think you guys have the wrong apartment number. This one's mine."

Stumbling up the steps to my amazing new apartment, I was excited. A whole large apartment all to myself and I didn’t have to share it. Stepping into the room, I immediately see three people in my apartment.
“I...I thought... that...” I choked, hot tears coming to my eyes. I dropped my suitcase and flopped down on the soft, velvety, hot pink couch. ``No! This is all wrong! `` I cried. ``For once I was going to have something to myself! ``

Raymond

I was about to tell all three of the girls about what I thought of their mistake, then realized something.

All. Three. Girls.

A grin split across my face. "I'm sure we can share, ladies. It must just be a mistake. There's several bedrooms in here," I looked at the one with brown ringlets, "though I'm not sure we'll need all of them."

I walked back over to the bar, and picked up my drink. Andrew would be very proud of me. First day in and my house was already a bachelor pad. I felt like the luckiest guy alive.

"I was just making drinks, would any of you like some?" I winked at the blonde, "Non-alcoholic, of course."

Bella Knight

I nod, "Throw me a whiskey. I need some Alcohol." I grinned getting out my guitar and setting it against the wall. I winked and walked over to him, watching him make them.
