Adora

I sigh and face forward again, catching the gaze of Blake.
"What about you?" I ask. "You can't expect to hear that from us and not give a little something in return..."
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up

Blaze-
I glance at the teacher, who seems a bit surprised by the question, and bite my lip, trying to gain some composure.

Kyra

A boy stumbles into the classroom.

"You're late." I glare.

"Sorry... I...uh... got lost?" He mutters.

"It's your first day, just don't do it again!" I toss the ball of water at him. To my surprise, he catches it and throws it back into the bowl.

Blake

I straightened up a bit, caught off guard. It feels like such a long time since I'd been fazed. They know just the right things to say to earn brownie points.

"Trying to change the subject, eh?" I said. "Well, lets see. I've got no siblings, no dad, a mum that doesn't know who I am any more...oh and I just recently got a cat. I'm thinking of getting another one to keep Mitts company, but I'm afraid that it'll turn me into the creepy cat lady that lives next door."

I beamed at them and bit my lip to keep from laughing. I wished I had a camera to see their faces. Usually, I'd tell people vague details on a small family, but earning trust required giving up myself as well.

"Oh," Blaze said awkwardly. Adora shifted from one foot to another.

"But that stays in the classroom, okay?" I said, "In fact, lets make a pact; everything said here stays in here...unless anyone of you want your whole life story to be unveiled."

I stucked another vermillion coloured strand of hair behind my ear and wondered just how sane my students thought I was. I looked at them and waited for a response.

Noah - water

"You're late." a woman glared at me. Must be the teacher.

"Sorry... I...uh... got lost?" I said, trying to wipe the guilty look off my face.

"It's your first day, just don't do it again!" She threw an actual ball of water at me Natural instinct cam over and I claimed it, chucking it into a nearby bowl. What was that? My shock was mirrored in the woman with blue highlights and I shoved a hand into my pocket, another stretching out into a feeble attempt for a handshake.

"Uh, I'm Noah by the way, Noah Hastings."

Blaze-
I sighed.
"Yeah, sure," I said, "I had a sister, but she's gone now. Ember." If Ms. Blake was getting the skeletons out of her closet, then I might as well mention one of mine as well. They don't need to know it was my fault, though. No one needs to know that. I don't even need to know that. I wish I didn't.

Blake - fire teacher

I looked at Blaze carefully, noting the sudden subdued tone of his voice. What exactly happened to his sister? Just mentioning her seemed to be eating him up.

I opened my mouth again to try to coo something out of those two again when a faint tinkling sound could be heard.

"Guess it's break time now," I said, cracking a smile.

I stood up again, brushed my knee lenght, first-day-of-school tube skirt I ceremoniously wore (to try to display some degree of professionalism) and sat back down on my chair.

"Come back when you here the bell, same classroom."

Fear

Once the boy leaves, I sigh. The phone rings. I whisper hello and the lady I hired for the front desk answers. She says everyone has signed in.

(To the people who play Cami and Allen: Please read the posts before you role play. Seriously, guys. Your air teacher, Michael, has entered the room and is waiting for you to respond to my earlier post. Kindly respond.)

Marissa -;

Marissa stared at the woman blankly as she threw the water at her. Threw it, as if it were a solid object! How is that even possible?

Suddenly, the door opened and in walked a quite good-looking teenage male, about her age. He looked around cautiously and edged over to Kyra and Marissa. His eyes surveyed the woman suspiciously.

"Come here." Kyra ordered and the boy complied. She scooped up another handful of water and flung it at him. Much to Marissa's dismay, he caught the water easily and flung it back.

"Did you see how he caught that?"

"Yeah." She stated softly, while glancing angrily at the show-off from the corner of her right eye.

"I want you to do that too. Okay?"

"Okay...?"

Kyra cupped some more water into her delicate hands and then tossed it to Marissa.

Her hands jerked upward instantly and the ball of liquid slowed down and drifted into her waiting palms.

"Wow." She murmured softly, more to herself than to the others. The boy, Noah, laughed under his breath. She shot him an angry side-glare. He smirked and opened his arms, as if challenging her.

Marissa smirked back and threw the element at him. He stumbled a little but caught the ball effectively. Her scowl deepened. Who was this show-off and where did he get so experienced?

"Did you sign in yet?" Kyra asked Noah as he tossed the water to her.

"No." He said simply,

"Well you need-" Kyra started to say, but a loud bell interrupted her.

"Break time. Come back here at the next bell. Noah you need to go sign in at the front desk." Come to think of it, Marissa had never signed up either.

"Did you sign in, Marissa?" Kyra asked, as if reading the girl's mind.

Marissa shook her head.

"Alrighty then." Kyra sighed. "Go with Noah."

Marissa pursed her lips but nodded politely and stepped out of the classroom, where Noah was waiting.

"Hi. I'm Noah." He offered her a slight smile.

"Marissa." She said simply, turning on her heel to walk to the office. She didn't know if he would follow, and she didn't know if he attempt to strike up a conversation. Part of her prayed that he would.

Noah Hastings

I frowned as I watched Marissa stalk away. Did I do something wrong?

"Hey," I said, jogging slightly to catch up to her.

She kept on walking and instead of trying to strike up another pointless conversation, I simply fell in step beside her, falling into a more comfortable silence.

When we got to the front desk, the sign in sheet was already filled with numerous scribbles or neat printing with the heart dotted 'i's and curly 'g's. I wonder if Marissa was that type of person.

"Pretty confusing around here, huh," I said, smiling to her as she grabbed a pen nearest to her.

Roberta Hemlin-Strength Teacher

"Very well Christopher, you shall be punished for your silence. Sibba, what is something you have always longed to achieve." Roberta growled. That boy was really getting on her nerves. He was late, then he won't answer. If this happened again a call to the principal might be needed. Now he had double punishments, and they weren't going to be fun.

Blaze-
We were dismissed for break, and I wasn't really sure what to do. I decide to wander the halls to stretch my legs. Either there aren't that many students here or everyone was in class befause the hallways were deserted. I glance behind to see where Adora is.

As the notifications drift in I stop and wonder. Why do they take so long? Do they have adventures we don't know about? I bet they do. When they come I will ask myself. What amazing adventure has this straggling notification been on? How far did it travel, and why didn't it take me?
