(I'm back! Good idea for the shade to be attacking Dras-Leaona!)
Violetta Jade
I walked over to Veritasita and jumpped onto her back. "Time to fly Verie!" I thought as she started to shoot into the sky and head over to the dragon keep.

They disregarded me and one mounted her dragon as the other sprinted off. Aetherium laughed at me briefly, for all that spectacle you made little impact brother. I turned to Aetherium with an angry smirk. I repeated his statement mockingly and looked off in the direction they had gone.
Well conveniently they appear to be going to the same place we are going. I grabbed my sword from my saddle bag and latched it on to my left side. Shall we have a race then my friend? Aetherium looked at me with one his massive eyes.
Fine two legs, I just hope you can keep up. Aetherium got a running start and leaped into the air. He flew off like a dragonfly pumping his wings a million miles an hour.
I sprinted after him through the forest as fast as I could. I knew the two riders would be meeting with Arya and Firnen. Convenient that they were the two people I was sent to see. Cheater I'll still beat you.
His laugh came through to my mind loud and clear, is it my fault you are land bound. He let out a chuckle and I could feel as he flew faster. I paid little attention to my surroundings running at a blur occasionally waving to people I passed by. Suddenly I felt the presence of three dragons and their riders. As I attempted to slow as I entered the glade my feet slipped beneath me. As I tried to stop myself I saw a large green wall looming in front of me.
I just had a moment to notice the scales on the wall and realize the wall must be Firnen before slamming into the large green dragon's side. I lay their briefly when I felt Aetherium's mind brush against mine. I looked up to see Arya and the other two riders looking down at me. Aetherium's familiar laugh rang in my head, Now, now you have made an entrance as well as an impact brother.

"Queen Arya." I said as I bowed to her. "Pleasure to meet you again and merry meet." "A wiccan elf? Now that is something that I have never seen." Arya laughed. Suddenly, a boy ran out of the forest and into the side of Firnen. Not good. I thought. "Idiot! First at the clearing now here! Are you following me?!" I yelled.

Sorry if I ask so late. I'm a fan of the Inheritance Cycle, and have read the books (duh). Hence I'd like to join- though I might be inserting a twist here and there
I don't think you're too late, Italy.... Maria said you anyone can join anytime.
Lairyn
I rose as the land-bound elves arrived atop Veritasia. I was about to greet them when something thudded into Firnen. Alarmed, I whirled towards it only to find a young elvish-looking human lying by the green dragon.
I couldn't help it; I laughed, smoke gushing from my nostrils. Quite an entrance, I observed. Violetta had just finished yelling at him, so I added, Why are you here?
"We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?"
I looked up at the dragon that had just spoken to me I was shocked that none of them recognized me. I thought Aetherium would have given it away at least. I looked at Lairyn recognizing the dragon that had completed training with Eragon and had returned as before Aetherium and I had left to train with Eragon. "Lairyn," I said, "It's me, Vrael come on guys it's barely been two years. Do none of you recognize me."
Arya walked over putting a hand on my shoulder, "Vrael you have changed quite a bit since you trained with me, and even more since last they've seen you and that was briefly then. If I hadn't noticed your eyes I would have had some difficulty myself." She looked at me as though I had been gone an eternity. Arya had flown with me to my training with Eragon and it had been a while since I had seen her. "Patience was a virtue you never did possess Vrael. Admittedly though I am curious as to why you are here as well."
I looked at her and removed the message Eragon had given me for her. "Eragon instructed first I give this to you, oh and Saphira sent a message for Firnen as well on there I believe." I looked at Violleta and then looked to the ground. "I know you chose to remain here and train with Arya but I am hurt that you did not recognize me, or Aetherium," Aetherium land next to me and shot a line of silver fire in to the air. He contacted her mind unexpectedly, Especially me I'm offended to say the least.

I was shocked. Could it really be him?! I thought he had gone forever! I shook my head. Cool it chicka. I thought. No need to freak out. "Hello again old friend." I said. "Sorry for the out burst earlier." "It's cool. No need to bash yourself around about it." he replied.

Wizard/Shade (wizard, though non-rider, neither elf nor human. It shall be explained once MariaRowland approves ) Name: Grey (Gray is the name he goes by, nobody else knows his real name save himself- maybe Angela if you ask nicely). Age: 1000 years old (explained later) Gender: male Powers: Grey is a magician, if he can be defined so. He's skilled in the most complex and arcane arts of gramarye, but never lets anything on. He invented many a complex spell, and was the one that developed the first farith Appearance: Grey is of average height, and wears a gray robe and cowl that completely obscures all his face http://www.google.com/imgres?q=grey+rob ... Fmain_page% Personality: Grey's a quiet type, never speaking much, always observing. He's wise and cunning, and doesn't have a real sense of humor. History: He was part of an old, old tribe of magicians (explained if MariaRowlands approves), but he was so skilled that only he managed to survive by making himself, effectively, immortal (to elaborate further). He orchestrated the rise of Galbatorix by teaching him the dark arts (the Soothsayer was Grey's sister). He also, upon realizing Galbatorix was insane, orchestrated his downfall, by assisting Eragon in casting his great spell to defeat Galbatorix and by providing Eragon's 'inexplicable moments of energy'. This he did because his consciousness is so great that it can extend through all of Algaesia and be mistaken for nature itself. Side: He is very, very much neutral, though he has plans Evil plans. However, those who know him trust him. He presents many different faces to the various people he meets. Up for love?: yes. Other:
The cold, icy air of the Beor Mountains blew into my face. Brare and I had just finished my mission to train a young dwarf Rider and dragon. "Finally, we get to return to Ellesmera." I said through our mental link. "Yes, but perhaps we could go around the Hadarac Desert. I am hungry and good meat is not found there." "Very well. We shall travel along the edge of the Spine. I always love to view Alagaesia during this time of year." I agreed.
We flew on and the cold of the Beors soon left us as we passed over Surda. Brare landed on the eastern side of the Spine. I conjured a fire using magic and set of to look for edible plants. I heard the rush of wings and the turquoise color of Brare's scales as he flew deeper into the Spine to hunt.
After a lunch of roasted vegtables, I laid down and gazed at the the clouds. Brare stormed in with blood from his kill on his snout. "Aryn, hurry! A powerful wizard is attacking Dras Leona! Another Rider is there but I think he might need reinforcements." Brare growled.
I grabbed my blade, Adurna, and hopped onto Brare's back, who headed in the direction of Dras Leona.

Vrael? I observed him more closely and realized that it was true. Violetta greeted them, and I decided that I should apologize - I should have recognized them. Vrael looked different, though - more elvish. Aetherium was bigger as well.
I bowed my head. I am sorry, I said to both of them. You've changed much since I last remember you - both of you. I recognize you now, though.
"We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?"
(Vi is more relaxed and she talks in many different styles. If you want to cheat the Eragon speech system then you can.)

I was in quite a shock that I didn't realise that I was speeking in a different way compared to everyone else. "Oops! Sorry for speeking like that. I really let myself slip a bit there didn't I." I laughed.

I shook my head and tried to empty my mind. I stared at Eylania’s eye and felt myself fall into a deep waking sleep. I was back in the garden with my father, planting daffodils. I could smell the musky scent that always hung heavily around my father. I could feel the cool, moist earth sliding through my fingers. I could hear the stream that ran by our garden and my father’s heavy breathing. I felt at peace in this lovely memory, the last pleasant memory of my father. The image of our garden swirled into blackness and I saw my parents lying lifelessly on their bedroom floor. Blood spouted from my mother’s neck, the color slowly draining from her once rosy cheeks. My father had a sad look in his eyes as if he was sorry for something. His eyes were calling out to me yet I could not rush to his battered and beaten side. I was being held back by the cruel hands of a soldier who’s menacing laugh echoed through the room. His purple cape billowed in the wind. Twisting and turning, I struggled and wailed, trying to get to my parents. “Atanir! Wake up!” came a faint scream as the waking dream came to an end. I opened my eyes and snapped my head up. We were being attacked by magic. I immediately tried to grab for my sword, only to be stopped by invisible chains. I swirled my head around to witness a figure, garbed in a tight, long, black cloak, rise up into view.

“Welcome,” a voice hissed, “to Dras-Leona. You came to try and stop me, but I have come to stop you.” The figure cackled and threw back his hood to reveal his twisted face. “I am the dreaded Shade, Haredr. You Atanir and you Eylania, are now my slaves.”
“We are doomed Atanir.” came a soft, hopeless whisper from Eylania. “Not while we can use magic. Although he can detect if we use large amounts of magic, he cannot detect the very smallest.” Haredr began moving us forward. “Of course! That’s right!” “I’m going to mentally scream across the land, all the way to where the other dragons are right now, in Du Weldenvarden.” I replied. “It’s worth a try.” I began the spell to send my voice across the land, then mentally screamed, “The dreaded Shade, Haredr has captured us! Save us if you can! We cannot save ourselves! “That should work, Atanir. Good job!” I mumbled to myself, “I sure hope it does. If it didn’t the we really are doomed.”
