I giggled. You seem to have made quite a mess of the forest when you landed! I told her. She looked around. Opps. She said. It's fine, I'm sure. I replied. (Sorry to cut it short but I gotta go!)
May The Blood of my Enemies Flow Like Rivers to the Sea
Okay, I can no longer resist. I MUST join this storybook (if it isn't too late). I'd like a dragon, but I was hoping that maybe someone else could be the rider... does anyone want to have another rider character?
"We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?"
Name: Lairyn Age: 7 Gender: Female Wing Span: Fifteen feet Colour: Vivid purple Personality: Laryna is very protective and loyal, especially of her rider. She always wants to help out, but only of her own volition; she hates being ordered around. She's free-spirited and loves flying. Side (Varden or Galbatorix): Varden Rider: Aleana Forsar

I walked slowly over to the palace to see Queen Arya, looking at everything, wondering when or if I would see it again. I walked into the palace once the guards had let me through and bowed to Arya, saying the traditional greeting.
Once the formalities were over I said, “Hello, Queen Arya.”
“Hello, Aleana, it’s nice to see you again, I’ve been waiting for you so that we may travel to the glade where Firnen is waiting for us, he has grown very fond of you while you were learning all about Alagaesia and how to take care of your dragon along with everything else you needed to know about dragons, if you’d please call Lairyn and ask her to meet us in the glade I would be most pleased.”
“Of course your highness,” I said before saying in my mind to Lairyn, Can you please find Firnen and land near him, Arya and I shall be along shortly.
Of course, she thought back.
We left the palace at a quick, brisk but comfortable pace and after a few minutes I bumped into someone because I wasn’t looking where I was going.
“Oh I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to bump into you I wasn’t paying attention, again, I am so sorry. I’m Aleana Forsar by the way,” I then noticed the giant, Amethyst dragon standing next to her and said, “She’s beautiful, your dragon she's absolutely gorgeous, that is to say you’re gorgeous.” I said turning towards the dragon.

I stayed one night in Hedarth, just as charming and enjoyable as I remembered it before heading on to Ellesmera. I was told by Eragon upon to returning to go to Queen Arya and give her a message. I was well aware of his love for the Queen and had a feeling it was more likely than not a love letter. I was resting comfortably when I felt Aetherium begin to descend. Have we arrived my dear companion?
No He replied in my mind, but I thought you may wish to arrive in Ellesmera on a more, well appropriate saddle. I rolled off of my long distance travelling saddle twisting in midair to land on my feet. I took the time to remove the saddle, roll it in to the carrying case, and take out the nicer oiled leather saddle I was given and place it on Aetherium's back.
There we go now let's hurry up and get there. I strapped my legs down and grabbed the reigns. Aetherium took a few steps back and shot us in to the sky above the treetops. I know looked about and set the vision of my mind wide seeing all the living things of the forest. As I neared Ellesmera I felt the mind of three dragons as well as their riders. Aetherium there appears to be a bit of a gathering shall we join?
Yes let's. He winged his way over to the area and dived through the trees. As he landed I unlatched myself from the saddle and rolled down his neck, careful of his spikes and landed in front of two of two of the riders I had felt and a dragon. "Well hello ladies, lovely to see you again."
Aetherium shot out a puff of smoke, Show off.

Can you please find Firnen and land near him? asked Aleana. Arya and I shall be along shortly.
Of course, I replied, rising from my roost and stretching my wings. I leaped into the air, feeling the rush of wind against my scales as if for the first time. I doubted I'd ever get over that thrill, even when I was a hundred.
Soaring over the trees, I searched for the green dragon. Finally, seeing him in a glade, I dove down, sending Aleana the message that I was there. Firnen turned to watch me land.
Good morning, I greeted him, ruffling my wings as they folded. How are you?
I am well, he replied. And you?
The same. I trust Arya is doing well? Aleana still seemed to be a ways off, so I sat down, deciding to make myself comfortable.
"We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?"
I stared out into the dark black night as I silently slipped through the trees. Behind me the shimmering waters of Leona Lake reflected a glowing orb of light, the moon, casting deep shadows in which anything could be lurking. A lone wolf howled longingly at the moon and the bone chilling wind sliced at my skin with razor sharp edges. I allowed myself to shiver. “Atanir, we need to finish this mission.”Eylania, my beautiful silver dragon, whispered to me. “We need to keep moving if we are going to make it in time.” “You are right of course.” I responded. “Let’s go.”I continued slinking between the trees. Suddenly out of the bushes a tall man with an ugly scowl jumped at me, sword swinging. I quickly drew my sword and slashed at his legs before he could block it. The feel of my sword slicing through his legs was not a pleasant sensation. I thrust my sword up as he fell, piercing him through the chest and pinned him against a tree. I grimaced as I pulled sword out of the man and wiped off some of the gore. I nimbly stepped over his corpse and continued on my journey. I wondered aloud where he came from and what he wanted. “I have to be on the alert.” I mumbled. “I don’t want to be caught off guard again.” Wandering from tree to tree I whispered a soothing melody my mother used to sing every night. “The Morning is coming soon, so lay down your head. Don’t think of your worries, your troubles, and your cares. Just think of this song all night long. Even when you visit slumber land , think of this song.” I whispered the charming music to myself. When I finished the song, I thought about my mission, my mission to save the city of Dras-Leona! A monstrous shade was devastating the country side through magic. My goal was to destroy him so that Dras-Leona would not be subject unto his terror. The Shade, Haredr, even though he was young, had absolutely amazing capabilities of magic. I had to destroy him. I had to destroy him, no matter what.

Taking one last step out of the forest I gasped as I saw the amazing spectacle of glowing lanterns emitting from the large, over-flowing city. Eylania swooped down and quickly and gently wrapped her thick, powerful talons around my middle and raised me off the ground. She threw me into the air where I flipped gracefully through and landed softly onto Eylania’s saddle. “Nice landing.” She commented. “Are you ready to take on the title of Shadeslayer?” “No way!” I replied while strapping myself into the saddle. But lets do it anyway.” Eylania swooped to the left in a beautiful arc. The clouds kissed my face in pure joy. Then, leaving the clouds with a roar, Eylania dived towards the city. Looking closely as we dove you could see bright swirls of white light streaking through the darkness. “He must be creating that light,” I commented, “but why?” “Not the foggiest idea.” my beautiful, silver dragon mused. Swooping low, we circled the white light. I began to realize a pattern in the light. First it curled to the left, then right over and over. Soon, the only thing I could concentrate on was the light. “Atanir! Stop thinking of that light! You are under a spell! Stop it or we’ll both die!” Eylania screamed mentally.
