Um, guys, I'd post but I'm kinda confused. Are we on the same day as when the cops came or not? Oh, and Kaywia, Becky isn't alone Sean's here for her  I was actually going to ask if Sean and Becky could be childhood friends or at least long-term friends. It's just I was reading through the SB from the beginning and I've noticed that her and Sean have this silent but mutual understanding between them. Or that could just be me :P Anyway, let me know if that's okay and I'll post something uber dramatic and tension-filled

Ah, okay, thanks for clearing that up. Hope this is okay :)

Sean Phoenix

Andy turned to face me with one of her infamous grins.

“What about a game of basketball?” she asked challengingly.

I stared at her for a couple of seconds and smirked. “We already had a game, remember? You walked out half-way because you knew you were losing.”

Losing being the key word here,” she retorted. “And by the way, the only reason why I was losing in the first place was because I was being way too easy on you...”

“Being easy on me?” I raised my brow in amusement. “You were jumping on me like a climbing frame trying to stop my dunks - not to mention that elbow in the face I got when you missed your free-throw.”

Unsurprisingly, she rolled her eyes as if it were no big deal. “Don’t be such a baby, Phoenix.” She stepped out into the backyard and picked up the basketball off the ground. “We’ll have a proper game this time: winner has to buy the loser drinks for the rest of the month.”

“I don’t drink,” I said bluntly.

“Oh, right, of course, you’re ‘teetotal’ now.”

I nodded, slightly proud of myself. It had been almost two years since I’d touched a drink, and for someone with a past like mine, that was quite an achievement.

“Alright, how about the winner has to do the losers laundry for the rest of the month?” suggested Andy.

I burst out laughing, which was weird. I never laughed much these days, but Andy was one of the few people who always managed to get them out of me. Before I could say anything, I saw Becky get up and head out somewhere.

“Earth to Phoenix,” said Andy, waving her free-hand in front of my face. “Are we doing this, or not?”

A part of me wanted to check up on Becky, but another part of me knew she was more than capable of taking care of herself. So I stepped out into the backyard and grabbed the ball off Andy.

“You’re on, Vintelleci.”

"Earth to Phoenix.." XD. Hilarious. Pure awesomeness *coco.

Andréa
“You’re on, Vintelleci.”
Andy grinned, knowing she'd managed to snap him out of his mood.

She bounced the ball once, twice - waiting for Sean to attack. He didn't dissapoint her, coming at her from behind. She ducked, weaving under his outstretched arms, and dribbled the ball to the side. She ran to the opposite end of the court, and aimed to shoot... Only to find herself blocked by Sean.
She grinned crazily, enjoying the challenge.

Half an hour later, both of them walked into the living room, looking like they'd been in a downpour. Both were laughing, Andy looking normal for once and Sean looking more relaxed than he had In a long while. He'd lost the game - by a single point, only due to Andréa's last dunk.

Becky still wasn't back, and Tyler and Con were sitting on the sofas inside, both talking, looking very serious.
"Hey guys. What's up?" asked Sean. "Where's Becky?"

Tyler

Con's hand lightly brushed against mine and our eyes meet. A second passes and he glances away. A warm feeling bubbled up in my stomach at his touch. It was warm and soft. My skin tingled from the contact. I was just about to reach out my hand to his again when the door opened.

Swiftly I turn around to see Andy and Sean walk through the door, covered in sweat. They were both grinning and laughing with each other. There is defiantly chemistry there.

Suddenly they both looked at us, seeming to realize that they uninterrupted something. "Hey guys. What's up?" asked Sean. "Where's Becky?"

"Not really sure, but I heard a car leave. So maybe she off training." I said thoughtfully. "By the way, who said they would handle dinner again? I think it's time to live up to that promise." I said with a smirk.

I'm cool with Sean and Becky being long-time friends. Maybe Sean knew her ex or something like that?

Becky

I put a final punch into the bag, and then turned around. Eight o'clock. I had to get back to the house. I had promised a round of drinks. Then again, getting everyone drunk right now probably wasn't a good idea.

I nodded to a few officers that I was friendly with on my way out, and then pushed through the clear doors into the warm night. I mapped out the route home in my head. I would stop by Miller and Masons on the way home. They'd sell me drinks without a liscense.

I didn't announce my arrival back. I didn't need to. Everyone was sitting in the large room already, Sean was making dinner.

"Shouldn't Tyler or Andrea be cooking?" I laughed. My female jokes had probably gotten old by this point, but I didn't care.

"Where were you?" Tyler asked, ignoring the joke.

"Training." I put my bag down by the door, and then sat down in one of the chairs by the couch. "Sorry I ditched you guys, I didn't think you'd notice if I left." Even trying my hardest to restrain it, an edge of warning and bitterness crept into my voice.

"Sorry I ditched you guys, I didn't think you'd notice if I left."

Even though she tried to hide the bitterness in her voice, I heard heard it clear as a bell. Suddenly , a feeling of regret filled me. I felt bad.

"Are you going to join us for dinner, or are you going to head up to your room?" I asked sincerely.

Becky

"No, I'll have dinner." I said, then remembered the drinks in the car. "Be right back."

I came back in with two six packs of some of my favorite beer, a bottle of wine, and a smile on my face. "And it's not the cheap shit either."

There were smiles around the room, with the exception of one. Sean was never a big drinker. Throughout all the years I had known him the one thing I never changed was his drinking habits.

We were polar oppisites in that regard.

I looked down at the bottle of beer again, and then a memory flashed through my mind.

"Your first tattoo, love. Told you it wouldn't hurt that bad." Oscar was already a little tipsy, and his words were running together. "Have a drink, on me."

I took a beer out of the strangely colored case, then took off the cap and sniffed it lightly. I recognized ed the all-too familiar smell that often lingered on him. "Do you drink this a lot?"

"It's my favorite." His eyes twinkled, and I laughed.

I pushed away the memory. Why was I thinking of him so much suddenly? I need a mission, something to keep my mind off him. I didn't even miss him! I had just know him for so long, too well.

"You okay, Becky?" Sean asked.

"This was his favorite." I said it lightly, almost jokingly, so the others wouldn't be concerned. "It just made me remember." Sean would know what I was talking about, I doubted anyone else would.

With that, I popped off the cap and took a long sip.

I just stared at Becky deadpan for a moment. At first I thought I was just hearing things, but when her words finally registered, everything seemed to fall into place. No wonder she was being so reclusive.

She still missed Oscar.

My jaws tightened in anger just thinking about that guy and the way he'd treated Becky. What made it worse was that I was the one who introduced him to her in the first place. It was just one of the many things on my list of what I wish I'd never let happen. Maybe if I'd been smarter all those years ago, I wouldn't have set one of my best friend's up with another member of the 9-0.

I sighed inwardly and started plaiting up the spaghetti. Becky was still standing next to me, looking down at the beer bottle.

"We'll talk about it later," I said to her.

She looked up at me and shrugged. "There's nothing to talk about."

"Talk about what?" Andy's voice suddenly came from behind us. She happily helped herself to the plait I'd prepared for Conrad, much to Con's frustration.

"Andy, quit stealing my plait all the time!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, does it have your name on it?" she retorted.

While the two of them carried on arguing with each other, I took the oppertunity to turn to face Becky so she could see I was dead serious. "There's a lot to talk about, Becks."

While Con and Andy argued, I watch Sean and Becky. They were exchanging strange looks between each other and it made me curious. Silently, I walked over to the kitchen, made a plate, and then handed it to Con.

"Here. You can have this one." I say with a smile. "Want something to drink?"

Before he can even answer, I walk over the the case of Beer grab on and toss it to him. He catch it perfectly, sending me a small glare. I just smile back. Becky hand suddenly reaches for the beer, pulls one out, pops the lid, and drinks it. Sean then walks over the kitchen and continues to make plates.

I walk back over to where I was sitting next to Con, and plop down. Sean then hands my a plate. I smile as I thanks. Pretty soon after that, Sean sits himself next to Andy. On the other side of the room sit Becky.

Dinner starts off as small talk, but pretty soon, everyone is smiling and laughing.
